She Belongs To The Devil

Chapter 776 Hurt

Chapter 776 Hurt

While Joyce and Damien were having a heart-to-heart conversation with one another, Ariel was thinking of how to talk to her parents without making it sound as though she had just narrowly escaped death.

She had teleported at the border of Wyverndale, where her parents and her aunt were sitting on the porch of an abandoned house and were enjoying their time having a wonderful conversation.

"Oh, my baby!" Adeline instantly ran to give a tight hug to her daughter because it had been a few days since she last saw Ariel.

Theodore and Irene, on the other hand, were exchanging a confused glance with each other because it hadn't been that long since the two of them left her.

Ariel then looked at her mother and asked, "Why are all of you– Ah!" She suddenly recalled why they were sitting down just outside of Wyverndale, "The barrier!"

"How are you, Ary?" Adeline lovingly caressed her daughter's hair and asked although she had already heard about Ariel from her husband just a while ago.

Ariel took a deep breath in and then glanced at her father.

Theodore instantly knew that there was something wrong from the way Ariel looked at him. "Ary, what is it?" he asked without wasting a breath.

Adeline looked at her daughter's face to find her extremely nervous. "Ary? Did something happen?" she also asked her daughter.

"Why don't we sit down first?" Ariel looked at her mother and suggested.

Adeline gave a nod and pulled her daughter to the place where Theodore and Irene were sitting. And when both she and Ariel settled down, she asked, "Now, tell me what's wrong?"

Ariel glanced at her father and inhaled shakily.

Her father was scared of his family hurting his daughter. That was the very point of having three barriers placed in and around the Palace. And now, she was going to tell him that he was right to have feared that because his brother proved him to be right.

"Umm…" She looked at her father and then asked him, "Dad, first promise me that you won't get too carried away and take action in your rage."

Theodore already disliked how Ariel started the conversation. "Why? Did you do something that would anger me, or perhaps, did someone else do something that would probably anger me?"

"Er…" Ariel could not think of a way to possibly say the things that happened to her in a way that wouldn't enrage her father. And she was sure that her father would try to fly off to the Heaven realm before even knowing the full story.

So, she sighed and asked her father, "Why don't you take a look into my memory? It's a bit hard to explain." He shifted her chair next to her father while saying, "I don't even know what to explain."

Theodore hoped that it wasn't something that serious that Ariel had made it to be.

And he skeptically placed his fingers on her forehead.

Ariel closed her eyes and let her father delve deeper into her memory.

Theodore looked through the memories that Ariel consciously let him into.

Adeline and Irene could see Theodore's brows twitching and his teeth gritting. He was getting angrier and angrier by the second.

On the other hand, Ariel was grimacing every now and then. And she even shed a few drops of tears while she was still in a state of trance.

By the time Theodore finished going through her memory, he looked like he was ready to slay a couple of beings. And the moment he opened his eyes, he wrapped his daughter in a tight hug.

"I am so sorry that I didn't sense you were in danger. I should have known something like this might have happened the moment we couldn't contact your grandmother."

Ariel shook her head and mumbled, "It's not your fault, dad. I was the one who lost the only medium to contact you. And I wasn't strong enough…"

"What happened to her?" Adeline asked her husband while looking confused and worried at the same time.

Irene was also looking at Theodore for answers when he mentioned their mother.

Theodore gently stroked his daughter's hair and then answered while fuming with rage, "My dearest brother, Michael, tried to show how much he loved his niece by asking his own son to kill her."

"What?" Adeline abruptly got up on her feet. She stood right next to her daughter and looked up and down at her. "Is she hurt anywhere?"

Theodore shook his head. And although he didn't want to speak of his father, he praised him where it was due, "The thunder and lightning from earlier was our father. He healed Ariel."

"Oh, dear! That means she WAS hurt!" Adeline said in a trembling whisper.

And Irene added to what Adeline had said, "So much so that our father had to be involved…"

Ariel pulled away from the hug with her father and immediately wrapped her arms around her mother's waist. "I was hurt but it wouldn't have been that serious if I got to heal myself in time. But I didn't want to make Unc… him… to make him think that I wasn't hurt severely and hurt me more. So I kept on quietly lying down. But that backfired because I lost a lot of blood and fainted.

And grandpa came and woke me up."

Adeline was grateful to her father-in-law for having come down to the Earth realm and saving her daughter.

Irene was also glad to know that her father decided to step in. She was glad that the things that Michael had said to her about God disliking the talks about Ariel were all a lie.

Theodore abruptly got up on his feet. He looked at his daughter and said with a sense of determination, "Michael needs to pay. I am going to kill him tonight. I will be back in a while."

He instantly flapped out his marvelous black wings and then flapped them to lift himself up in the air.
