Chapter 129 Osiris
Chapter 129 Osiris
As Lily played with the Titan Drunken Blood Monkey, Lucian crouched down and activated his Dragon's Gaze.
Instantly, his eyes pierced through the grass beneath his feet, allowing him to see the soil below. The soil was dark brown, consisting of clay and rock particles. Other than that, the soil was nothing special.
Lucian had expected the plot of land would consist of Mana Soil.
Mana Soil was a rare and highly coveted type of soil because it contained Mana. Therefore, it had the ability to significantly boost the growth and potency of Magical Herbs and ingredients cultivated in it. Crops grown in Mana Soils were invaluable for chefs, Alchemists, and other professions.
However, Mana Soil was a naturally occurring treasure. It could not be created.
[System, how do you expect me to grow Magical Herbs in normal soil?] Lucian questioned in a slightly irked tone.

[Host, while the soil is not naturally imbued with Mana, there is an alternative we can use that is much better than finding or buying Mana Soil.] The System said just as its Host finished reading the Quests.
[Oh? And why is that?] Lucian asked skeptically. He felt the System was merely lying to protect itself.
[Since the Host does not have prior knowledge as a Magical Farmer, I can not blame you for your skepticism. Mana Soil is divided into as many grades as there are Mage Ranks. With that being said, I'm sure the Host now understands my point.]
Lucian nodded. If what the System said was true, then buying Mana Soil was not worth it, unless he could buy the best Mana Soil in existence. That; however, was an impossibility. He only had Low-Grade Mana Stones…
[Alright, System, tell me how to infuse Mana into the Soil and how long will it take?]
[With the right resources and technique, the process can be expedited. The System can guide you through the process of infusion.
The method, though time-consuming, will yield similar results to naturally occurring Mana Soil.] The System said before continuing in a solemn tone, [You will need the resources listed in the Quest and a specific Runic Formation to draw the blood and corpses into the soil.]
Immediately after, the System began explaining the steps required to create the perfect environment for growing Magical Herbs and ingredients.
Meanwhile, Lily was sitting cross-legged on the grass with the Titan Drunken Blood Monkey. Her brows were knitted as though she was in deep contemplation.
"Hmm. Little Monkey, Lily has a name, but you don't. That isn't fair," Lily muttered as she looked up at the monkey.
"Do you want a name?" She asked him.
The Titan Drunken Blood Monkey nodded and let out a low roar. After spending a few short minutes with her, he came to trust her and enjoyed her presence.
"But what should Lily name you? You're a monkey with red fur… and you're gigantic. Big Brother Lucian had called you a Titan Drunken Blood Monkey…" Lily pondered with a serious face. "It needs to be a cute name."
Lily thought hard for a while before suggesting with an unconfident expression, "How about Little Red?"
The Titan Drunken Blood Monkey shook his head vigorously, making it clear he was not pleased with the name. Compared to when he first obtained a body and was confused, he now had a basic understanding of Arcadian. He found Little Red too cute and simplistic for someone like him.
"Big red?" Lily tried again. This time, her tone was a bit more hopeful.
"Grrr." He growled in dissatisfaction. He wanted a real name.
Lily sighed and looked over at her Big Brother Lucian.
"Big Brother Lucian, do you have suggestions for a name that would suit Little Monkey?"
Lucian was startled and looked over at Lily. He had been listening to the System's explanation as to how to create the Mana Soil before he was interrupted. However, he did not mind.
[System, you can explain later.] Lucian simply said to the System.
[Very well.]
Lucian knew and could see how much Lily cared for the Titan Drunken Blood Monkey. Therefore, he needed to come up with a name that matched the monkey's imposing presence and identity. Most importantly, it had to be liked by Lily.
He walked over to Lily and the monkey and sat next to them.
"Hmm let's see." Lucian looked at the monkey up and down. "Given that this monkey is a Titan, it has blood-red fur like red wine,-]
[Don't forget, it produces delicious red wine.] The System interrupted, which Lucian ignored and continued, "It has to be a strong name given his identity as Maximillian's son."
The Titan Drunken Blood Monkey looked at his Master with hopeful eyes as his tail began flicking with anticipation. He wholeheartedly agreed with his words.
"How about something that hints at wine and his identity as a Titan?" Lucian thought aloud. "What about Osiris, the God of Wine, Agriculture, and Afterlife?"
Lily's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "Osiris! That is perfect! What do you think Osiris?" She asked the monkey, despite already having chosen his name.
In response, the Titan Drunken Blood Monkey let out a pleased grunt, nodded approvingly, and thumped his tail against the ground. Continue your adventure at empire
Lucian smiled, the name Osiris fit the monkey quite well. He was glad they thought so as well.
"It's settled then. From now on, you'll be called Osiris," He declared in a tone of finality.
The Titan Drunken Blood Monkey, now officially named Osiris, let out a happy roar and nuzzled against Lily, who giggled in delight.
"Hehehe~! That tickles~!"
