Chapter 1359 First cry

Yu Dong couldn't bear to stay outside the room while Shen Li was going through so much pain. She immediately walked to the door of the room and said, "Let me go inside. He is hurting, I should be with him." She was worried and anxious about leaving Shen Li alone. She turned to look at Ye Liu and Xiao Hua who were standing in front of the room and said, "He needs someone with him."

"Ah Chi is with him, he has given birth and knows what to do and what not to do. There is no need for you to go inside, you don't even know how to give birth… what are you going to do inside the room?"

Hearing their response, Yu Dong opened her mouth. She wanted to say something but swallowed her words back. It was during these times that she felt it was a bother to live in a time where they did not allow the head of the family to witness the mers giving birth.

"For the father?" Yu Dong asked worriedly.

Xiao Hua deadpanned and smiled at her before shaking his head. He remarked, "No for the mother….fortunately, none of them were present but if they were——"

"AHHHH!" Another scream tore through the roof and the doors of the room, Yu Dong felt a sudden urge to make her way inside and that urge only got even stronger when she heard Shen Li scream, "DONG DONG!"

"I am here, Ah Li!" Yu Dong shouted as she tried to get past Ye Liu and Xiao Hua but her struggles stopped when —-

"Dong Dong! I am going to kill you! Because you... Because of you, I am in this condition, AHHHHH!!" Shen Li screamed causing Yu Dong to stiffen as she stopped her struggle.

Xiao Hua sighed and then pushed Yu Dong back. "This is the reason why I said that you shouldn't go inside." He peeked at the door with a nervous look on his face. There were many mers in the tavern who got pregnant after spending nights with their patrons. Some of them were foolish enough to think that they would be taken away by the patrons if they were to get pregnant.

Of course, nothing like that happened, if anything they only created a hellish life for themselves and their children.

Because their wives were not there, Xiao Hua and the other mers helped the pregnant mers in delivering their babies and he knew better than Yu Dong that none of the experiences was a good one.

No sooner she sat down, Yu Tong patted her on the shoulder.

"Brother Li will be fine," he said. "Even though he looks frail, he has a lot of energy."

"AHHHH!!" As soon as she finished speaking a very strong scream came from inside the room causing Yu Dong to flinch. He did seem energetic from his screams.

"Ma.." Yu Jin who seemed to have realized that his own position was in threat immediately reached out to Yu Dong. He did not know what was going on but he knew something was up instinctively. With the spiritual water and meals nourishing his mind, he was smarter than the rest of the children and could see things much more clearly than the other children.

Yu Dong lowered her head and looked at her son who was reaching out to her, she knew how jealous he could be sometimes. So she immediately picked him up and comforted him, "Jin'ah…" she kissed his cheeks making Yu Jin giggle as he happily hugged his mother.

With Yu Jin in her arms, Yu Dong was a bit calm. She then looked at the closed doors and hoped that nothing would go wrong.
