"She did," Shen Li closed the lid of the box, his brows furrowed in a frown. "Not only did she go to the mountain but she also faced the bear, the corpse of the bear is being dealt with by Hunter Ning at the moment. You can take a look at it, Madam Song."

"Oh please, you can call me Sister Yixu like Sister Dong," Song Yixu corrected Shen Li whose face remained furrowed as he nodded. Seeing the look on his face, Yu Dong couldn't help but say, "Stop frowning, am I not fine? Why are you frowning like that?"

Madam Cui who had never been nervous over childbirth for ages, felt her heart still thumping. She had never seen her husband or sons-in-law going into labour, this was her first time seeing a mer getting his water broken and she was certain that it was an experience that she did not want to face again. Her heart nearly stopped beating then and there.

"Madam Yu's husband went into labour," Madam Cui replied rubbing her forehead as she tried to calm her beating heart. "It happened all of a sudden and startled everyone in the Yu house. This is why it is so noisy."

The Cui family was surprised when they heard that Yu Dong's husband was in labour. They wanted to do something to help but there was nothing that they could do, Fifth Master Cui raised his hand and said, "Mother, my daddy taught me a nourishing soup recipe that could be drunk during hours of labour, should I go and give a hand in the kitchen?"

"That's right!" Eldest Master Cui clapped his hands, he turned to look at Madam Cui and said, "Little Fifth makes really good nourishing soup. We can let him take care of Madam Yu's husband."

However, they could not do much for Yu Dong and her family as they were not lacking in anything. They could at least do some small things that would help the Yu family in one way or another. After all, it was the feelings and intentions that mattered the most, right? At least that was what Madam Cui taught them.

Madam Cui looked at Fifth Master Cui who seemed nervous and a bit scared before asking, "Will you be fine?" She was asking this because Fifth Master Cui was someone who got scared because of small things. He was a scaredy cat and had social anxiety. This son-in-law of hers did not like talking with anyone.

And would end up getting startled at the smallest thing.

"I.. think I will be fine," Fifth Master Cui said to Madam Cui. He had eaten and drunk his fill, it would be too rude if he did not do anything to repay Madam Yu and her family.

Seeing that Fifth Master Cui was willing to help in the kitchen Madam Cui did not stop him. She turned to look at Song Yixu who nodded and said, "You can go inside, the kitchen is right in front of the living room. You will see a small, chubby mer working in the kitchen at the moment. Just tell Brother Mi that you have helped your brothers-in-law during their labour and he will let you in."

Fifth Master Cui nodded. He washed his hands in the vat with grass soup and then walked inside the house. No sooner did he step inside, he saw the the small and chubby mer.

Chen Mi was indeed cooking chicken soup in the kitchen at the moment, and when he saw Fifth Master Cui walk inside the kitchen, he turned and asked, "Is something the matter, Brother?"

"You can call me Brother Fifth," Fifth Master Cui said to Chen Mi, their family was so big. He was sure that Chen Mi would have a hard time remembering their names. He then said, "Umm, I am sorry to interrupt Brother Mi. But I helped my brothers-in-law and my daddies during labour. I know how to cook a nourishing soup that would help your brother's labour pain ease a little."

He hailed from a family of physicians and even though he did not know much, Fifth Master Cui was really good in dealing with the problems related to the health of mers. When Chen Mi heard that he could help Shen Li with his labour pain, his eyes brightened. He immediately shifted to the side and said to Fifth Master Cui, "Then I will thank you Fifth Brother."

Seeing the truth in Chen Mi's eyes, Fifth Master Cui was a tad bit guilty. When Song Yixu told them that she was bringing them to the Yu house, they all thought that the Yu family was a family of human flesh-eating animals.

Who would have thought that this family consisted of such naive and trusting people? He felt guilty for even doubting them.

"There is no need for your gratitude, this is what I should be doing," Fifth Master Cui said to Chen Mi with a smile as he set to work.

"AHHHHH!!!"
