Chapter 167 God Like Evolution

Chrono Nexus walked up to Akun and placed her hand on his forehead. She forcibly extracted a collection of images, which were Akun's memories, and spread them around, examining each of them."I believe I can grasp his essence by delving into his memories." she mumbled. As she leaned in to look at a certain collection of memories with a shining blue square hovering mid-air, she became intrigued.

"Now that I reexamine him, I perceive a distinct azure aura enveloping his soul, and the contours of his soul appear to be under its influence." Chrono Nexus mused as she gazed at Akun's soul using her divine all-seeing eyes.

"I should try to extract it; perhaps it's the cause of his absurd nature," she thought. She reached her hand through the dark silver armor and Akun's chest, arriving at his soul. She proceeded to attempt to remove the bluish coating on Akun's soul.

Akun, frozen in time, couldn't hear the system's voice as it echoed in his head:

As Chrono Nexus attempted to remove the bluish outline on Akun's soul, she suddenly noticed glowing purple cracks appearing all around him. These cracks spread slowly, forming an intricate web of glowing lines.

"What is this?" Chrono Nexus muttered in confusion as she examined the spreading cracks. It was a phenomenon she had never encountered before.

Suddenly, a colossal wave of energy burst forth from Akun's body, its sheer force sending Chrono Nexus hurtling through the air. Her form tumbled uncontrollably before she managed to regain her composure.

In that moment, the area where time had been frozen around Akun shattered into countless shards. The fragments danced in the air, sparkling and fading away, and time itself began to flow again. The landscape transformed, and the desolate battlefield returned to life as the flow of time was restored.

Akun, with newfound confidence and a faint smile, turned to face the goddess Chrono Nexus.He then retracted his armor to reveal himself, wearing flowing dark purple and white robes that seemed to have some sort of patterns on them. He spoke with an air of nonchalance, "Hey, Chrono Nexus, why don't we try this again?"

Chrono Nexus, although initially taken back by Akun's transformation, regained her composure and responded, "Look, mortal, I may not understand how you became a demigod, but you are still ignorant if you think you can now some how stand a chance against me."

In an instant, Chrono Nexus vanished, but Akun couldn't help but smile. He was ready for the challenge ahead.

Chrono Nexus appeared abruptly in front of Akun, positioning herself for a powerful punch. With incredible speed, she launched the attack at him. However, Akun's newfound powers allowed him to react swiftly. He deftly caught her punch, his expression smug and confident.

With a taunting tone, he whispered into Chrono Nexus's ear, "You know what I believe? I think you're not allowed to fight. Your defense might be top-notch, but when it comes to combat, you're not that great. It's like what I picked up from Xalender – each god has their own limitation. His is that he can't shield the living. Yours appears to be fighting.

Chrono Nexus was taken back by Akun's revelation, her divine powers seemingly limited in their application. The battlefield had now tilted in favor of the demigod, and the goddess of time and knowledge faced an opponent unlike any she had encountered before.

Akun's smile widened as he continued, "Considering your lackluster combat skills, I propose a fair fight. I'll limit myself to using only my arms and feet, just like you do. After all, it wouldn't be a genuine battle if I were to rely on my silver railguns again, given my current stats.

I'm quite certain they would simply tear you apart." His voice carried a taunting tone as he tilted her jaw upward with one hand, a sly grin on his face.

Chrono Nexus fixed her intense gaze on Akun, her words laden with indignation, "How dare you underesti--" But before she could finish her sentence, Akun unleashed a powerful kick with his left leg, propelling Chrono Nexus forcefully away from him. The sheer force behind his kick created a massive shockwave that radiated outward, causing the ground beneath his feet to fracture with spreading cracks.

As Chrono Nexus was sent hurtling through the air, the impact forced the air from her lungs in a sharp gasp of surprise.
