Villain's Valor: A Noble Fantasy Resurrection

Chapter 82 : Zone 3

Chapter 82 : Zone 3

In the midst of this desolate space, where the ground lies covered by a blanket of multicolored leaves, the absence of trees in sight seems both comforting and unsettling. Although the distance between me and those silent witnesses of nature is considerable, their presence looms over me like an ominous shadow.

The sensation of being watched persists, penetrating my consciousness with disturbing intensity. To test the reality of this feeling, I decided to take action against one of those distant trees, splitting its trunk with my sword. However, the result was perplexing and disappointing at the same time: the tree fell silently, disintegrating on the ground without further ceremony.

The speed with which the tree vanished only adds another mystery to this strange place, leaving behind an ominous void that whispers dark secrets in the wind. What unknown force governs this forgotten corner of nature, and what other enigmas await in the shadow of these absent trees?

In the abyss of silence, loneliness becomes an ominous presence. Elsa used to be my refuge in this palpable darkness, but now I find myself abandoned. Every step I take seems to trigger an invisible pursuit, a lurking entity that hides in the shadows, breathing down my neck. The subtle whisper of clandestine footsteps slithers around me, a haunting echo that sends shivers down my spine.

In the stillness, the rustling of the leaves is like a silenced scream, a prelude to horror that hints at my mind. However, when I turn to confront my pursuer, I find only emptiness, a void that devours even my attempts to perceive beyond the obvious.

My senses, sharpened by fear, extend in vain in search of any hint of presence, but in this zone, even the echo of my own existence fades into nothingness.

"This place will drive me insane," I mutter under my breath.

The whisper of the wind seems to carry a warning echo as my thoughts drift into the darkness lurking among the distant trees. This place, saturated with the presence of the infamous rank 3 demons, is a territory where reality fades into the mist of deception and doubt.

The accounts of these creatures are as disturbing as the very shadow that harbors them. With their humanoid forms intertwining with the essence of the trees, the demons are masters of psychological games, experts in shaking the foundations of sanity and sowing distrust in every corner of the human mind.

In this labyrinth of trees and shadows, the line between reality and illusion blurs until it disappears completely. Every whisper of the wind, every dancing shadow between the trunks, is an invitation to paranoia and fear. In this world of deception and false appearances, even one's own identity becomes an enigma to unravel.

In the ruthless hierarchy of the zones, zone 3 stands as a bastion of danger and challenge. Here, the strength of the mind is the most valuable currency, for in this land of shadows and deceit, psychological fragility can be more devastating than any physical weapon.

Unlike the body, whose resilience can be shaped with effort and discipline, training the mind is a complex and arduous art. Every thought, every emotion, becomes a battle against the darkness that threatens to engulf us. In this nightmare scenario, sanity becomes a precious treasure, difficult to maintain amid chaos and confusion.

Faced with the insidious influence of rank 3 demons, each individual must fight tooth and nail to preserve lucidity and resist the influence of darkness. The mind, sharpened like the blade of a sword, becomes the most powerful weapon in this theater of nightmares. But keeping it sharp and ready for combat is a task that falls entirely on each of us.

In this zone, the real battle is fought within ourselves, where every thought is a weapon and every emotion a shield against the darkness that threatens to consume us.

I'm almost certain I have a demon that has been silently following me, the sensation of being hunted by an invisible presence clings to me like a cursed shadow as I scrutinize the trees looming ominously just ten meters away. Although the temptation to confront it directly is strong, my reasoning wins out, perhaps it's exactly what it wants - for me to lose patience and attack recklessly.

The silence is oppressive, like a leaden shroud that envelops every corner of this open space. Each breath seems like a deafening echo in the surrounding void, while my eyes fixate on every twisted trunk in search of any sign of abnormality.

The tension in the air is palpable, as if the very forest is holding its breath, waiting for the hidden beast to reveal its presence. But the demon is cunning, expert in the art of camouflage, and remains hidden among the undergrowth, mocking my attempts to unmask it.

As time passes and darkness thickens, my mind becomes a battlefield, where paranoia and distrust intertwine with determination and courage. But I know I can't give up, I can't let fear consume me.

With every fiber of my being on high alert, I wait in the gloom, ready to confront the invisible enemy lurking in the shadows.

Time stretches on like an endless shadow, as my mind becomes a battlefield ravaged by fatigue. Every minute spent in this cursed place is a silent torment, where the psychological game of demons wears down my defenses and erodes my patience to unimaginable limits.

Every whisper of the wind becomes a sinister murmur that insinuates itself into the darkest corners of my consciousness, sowing seeds of doubt and anxiety. My thoughts become labyrinthine, trapped in an endless cycle of paranoia and distrust, while the weight of darkness threatens to crush my sanity.

Fatigue seeps into my bones like a slow poison, enveloping me in a fog of exhaustion that clouds my judgment and weakens my will. Each breath becomes an effort, each beat of my heart a sharp reminder of my vulnerability in this infernal place.

But despite the exhaustion that consumes me, a spark of determination burns deep within me. I know I can't surrender to a damn demon that keeps hiding, I know I must resist until the last breath, fighting against the darkness that threatens to engulf me whole.

A shiver runs down my spine as the sword emerges from the depths of my being, as if responding to an unknown call. My eyes widen in astonishment as I watch the blade, now enveloped in an ethereal glow of intense red, as if imbued with a power beyond my comprehension.

Instinctively, I draw the sword, feeling its familiar weight in my hand as the red glow extends to engulf my entire being. A sense of clarity and determination radiates from my mind, dissipating the shadows that had obscured my thoughts.

With the sword still glowing in my hand, my eyes fixate on a particular tree, as if it had been marked by some invisible design. With each step I take toward it, I feel an indomitable force burning within me, a certainty that this tree holds the key to unraveling the enigma that surrounds me.

With a fluid twist of the sword, the blade cuts through the air with a penetrating hum, pointing directly at the heart of the tree. In a flash of light, the blade sinks deeply into the trunk, piercing it with disconcerting ease.

A deafening roar fills the air as the tree twists and thrashes under the impact of my attack. Twisted branches sway frantically, revealing a dark and twisted presence emerging from within, the demon that had been hidden among the shadows.

Smiling to myself, I see the damned bastard who has been playing with my mind

for hours.

The creature looms imposingly amidst the forest, its presence shrouded in an aura of darkness and malevolence. Its figure, humanoid and feminine in appearance, seemed grotesquely fused with the very essence of the trees that surrounded it.

Atop its head, a fleshless human skull served as a face, with hollow eyes that gleamed with cold and ruthless malice. Two pairs of erect horns rose from its forehead, pointing towards the sky like sharpened spears, emitting a sense of power and dominance over its surroundings.

Its body, an aberration of nature, was a twisted amalgamation of wood and flesh. Twisted branches intertwined with its pale and decaying skin, forming a living armor that seemed to grow directly from its being. Every movement was a macabre dance of branches and thorns, writhing and contorting in a sinister ballet.

Instead of hair, a tangle of reddish branches extended from its skull, waving in the air with an unsettling elegance. Each branch was alive with a dark pulsation, as if they were extensions of its own twisted essence.

Together, the creature exuded a terrifying presence, an incarnation of pure malevolence that dwelled in the depths of the forest. Standing at over two meters tall, it had an elegant posture around it despite being uglier than shit.

"Damn bitch I will tear you apart!" I shout with joy to finally discover who was the being tormenting me.

"GIAAAAAAA!" Its scream is sharp and annoying.

I think it got angry that I called it a bitch...
