Chapter 313 Tranquility
Chapter 313 Tranquility
"You!"
The Dragon God bellowed, and then darted his eyes about.
"Where's he?" He directed the question at the horned creature of black, but he got no answers.
Then, Lisa's scream broke the silence. A fiery light grew from within the black ball that hid her, but it was immediately stifled, and we heard from her no more.
We were all confused by this. Who was this person? Were they on our side? What even were they?
"Abaddon, this is not your place?!" The dark figure cried in defiance.
"Call your Lord and try sending me back, mongrel. You could be more, but instead?, you are simply reduced to this. Since you're here, he must be too." He looked about quite frantically.
"I'll simply kill all here!" He cried, throwing up his arms. Tiny balls of flames sprouted on his fingertips, and he flung his arms forward, releasing them to the battlefield.
The balls of fire divided severally as they travelled. Going from tens to hundreds in seconds. They struck many in the battleground, comrades and foes alike.
I activated Haven, but I couldn't be too careful and so I avoided those that reached me.
Then, I felt a great heat, accompanied by powerful pressure passed by me. It was the dragon lord, and he was heading for the black thing.
Soon, I heard the scream of Lisa from within the horde of black creatures. They pulled from her, leaving a shriveled thing which fell, and they went after the dragon god.
The black figure pulled a giant claymore which oozed a thick dark aura. Just as the overpowered reptilian lord was about to reach him, it swung, cleaving a part of space itself, and the dragon lord zoomed into this fissure in space. The fissure closed immediately as the dragon lord fell in.
It seemed like the Black figure got the opportunity he wanted, but I and the team were certain that this wasn't the end, there was still more to this. Such a menacing creature couldn't have been ended so easily.
The figure then drifted our way, and though, it might have saved us by interfering, we readied ourselves for battle against it.
It stopped a couple of hundreds of meters away, and bowed.
It bowed to me.
"My lord, my god. It is time for you to take your place." It uttered, and raised its head.
I have remembered, and so must you." It said with a deep voice that stirred curiosity within me.
'God? Lord?'
"It will all make sense soon." It said and zoomed at me.
"Stop him!" I heard Lucy shout, and Park lunged his hands for an attack, whereas I simply stood dazed and stunned by this creature's words.
Massive lances created from hardened blood zoomed to pierce it, but it became formless, fluid, and flowed away from the attack. Even Park's flames had no effect on the creature. Experience more on empire
'I have remembered, and so must you.' The words rang repeatedly in my mind. I thought of Fritz, the eccentric npc.
My mind felt flooded and simply out of it while my mates tried to stop the creature from reaching me.
It phased right through them, reaching me, and up close, I heard it whisper the words, "With my sacrifice, all shall be restored."
That was the last thing I heard before my eyes, nostrils and mouth were invaded by this creature. It drifted into me through my orifices and I felt frozen and simply out of control.
Then, all of it was inside of me. My eyes were pitch black and I remained still for a couple of minutes. Through this time, I could feel my body changing, my cells multiplying, changing in composition. I could feel my organs tearing and rending apart, but I felt no pain, instead, I had a feeling of nostalgia. I did not know where it came from, but it felt like my body knew this phenomenon and had gone through it in the past.
There was a large groan, and then a roar that shook the earth. Abaddon jetted from the fissure he had created earlier. He spotted me, his face contorting in rage and hatred, "You!".
He came at me, arm lunged and aiming for my heart. An overwhelmingly powerful shockwave ensued. I had caught his lunged arm, and with such ease.
He froze, and he had a look of helplessness in his face.
My body moved instinctively to stop the strike, but when I did, an understanding befell me, and so did knowledge.
The blackness in my eyes cleared, and skin stretched and tore apart to reveal the true me.
"Your Sacrifice was the key, Kollungr." I muttered to my chest, hoping Kollungr within me would hear.
I turned to my long-time foe,
"It has been ages, Abaddon. You still retain your hate, your grudge."
"I will never forget, that power should be mine!" The dragon yelled in defiance, still within my grip.
"But it isn't. You have had eons, yet you still haven't understood. I must admit, you got me the last time, but unfortunately for you, you're too late here. It's time to go home Abaddon." I said with a gentle voice.
"No!" Abaddon screamed,
"Do not send me to that place."
I held out my free left arm, and a purple rift in space materialized, thrusting out large chains which sank into Abaddon, immobilizing him and pulling him.
"You will have sufficient time to think of your ways, I hope you gain new wisdom in there."
Fiery drops like lava poured from the eyes of Abaddon as he was sent back to his eternal prison.
Around me however was still so much suffering, and violence. However the timeline, sentient creatures always retained their propensity for animosity and violence.
"It's always the same thing."
My new body, or rather original body overflowed with power. I was three times my previous size, my skin was more energy than flesh. I was the energy of the worlds given physical form, and I had to put a stop to all this.
I clapped, and the movements of all stopped. I saw the frozen pale faces of Lucy and Park. I was a stranger to them now, but it wouldn't matter, after all, they would forget all this anyway.
Images of them began to move, but in reverse. The strings of time rescinded, everything blurring backwards into the past. Things placed where they ought to be, everything in balance.

I watched as the worlds I created maintained a stable flux. I must admit, creating the system and my pieces of power was a mad idea to resurrect myself. Abaddon had been close, but as usual, I was multiple steps ahead.
I glimpsed into the lives of every participant I got the opportunity of knowing: Caleb, Park, Lucy, Francis and the others. They lived their lives, none of them holding memories of what has occured for the past two months, none retaining knowledge of my existence as it should be.
Tranquility.
