?Chapter 1858 The Dragon was angry.
The Velcrian Leaders stared at the 200,000-man strong army hovering in the air in front of them with nervous looks on their faces.
While the army itself didn't really bother them, the woman standing at the very front of the army did.
A woman who massacred 17 Primordials alone...
Yes, she was with them as well.
"Liora, it has been a while."
Suddenly, Liora heard a greeting.
It was Ember.
"We parted an hour ago."
Liora wished to say those words; she, however, didn't dare to say them out loud.
"E-Ember, it has been a while indeed."
She smiled, playing along with the Dragon's game.
"What brings you here?"
At her question, Ember glanced at Kaelgran. The Stoneborn's eyes widened in disbelief as his body froze.
It was the end!
These women had finally come for him!
He knew this would happen!
The Stoneborn gulped, trying to think of a way out. Even if he had to kneel and kowtow, he was prepared.
As for trying to resist them? He wasn't a fool. He stood no chance, even if he called forth all his allies. It would just lead to more useless deaths.
Seeing his condition, Ember chuckled.
"Things here are much different than the first time we came here."
"Well, we are here with an army now...
So that is quite obvious.
Allura chuckled.
'I don't think the army is what they are worried about.
Rune replied, her eyes staring at Aeliana.
She had seen the woman fight and was wondering if she could ever defeat her, even if she became a Primordial.
"You did help us win the War, so it isn't surprising if people see you differently now.
You are practically a goddess in their eyes."
Liora chuckled.
"She always had a way with her words,
Aisha commented.
'Mhm.'
Thyra nodded.
'I still like the Sylvanix more; they look so cute.'
Skyla muttered.
'Anyways, Nux is waiting. Stop wasting time here!
Astaria spoke; she had no interest in this world now.
"Yes, this is why we are here."
Ember nodded.
"You still have not rated my party's performance and confirmed the completion of the mission yet."
Ember spoke, and with a wave of her hands, a bunch of documents flew towards Liora. "O-Oh! Right!"
Liora nodded, her expression brightening up the instant she heard those words. She quickly caught those documents and,
"Of course! We cannot hope for a better performance. Not only were the number of casualties merely in the thousands because of your exceptional leadership ability"
Liora's eyes fell on Aeliana, and,
"Your friend saved all our lives. We are eternally grateful to you."
Liora bowed her head; Elaris and Kaelgran followed.
"I have confirmed the completion of your missions, and I have also prepared the rewards."
Liora spoke.
"Yes, that is another reason we are here for."
Ember interrupted.
"100 ships."
She spoke directly, without playing any games.
"H-Hundred?"
Liora's eyes widened in surprise.
"Hmm? Do you not think our performance deserves a bonus reward?"
Aisha chuckled at Liora's reaction, and the Seraphyte's face paled.
"Why do I feel like we are the bad guys here?'
Skyla commented with a slight frown on her face.
"She said it on her own. We saved their lives; don't you think we deserve a reward for
that?'
Allura answered.
"Bu-'
'Shh.
We are the good guys.
The succubus shushed the innocent maid before she could say anything more.
"I-I understand."
In the end, Liora agreed as well.
She didn't really have much choice, and honestly, thinking about it, Ember's demands
were extremely reasonable. In fact, she was underpaid.
Velcria didn't even have the resources to hire a normal Primordial, let alone...
That crimson-eyed woman hovering in the air.
"I will arrange the ships. Please give me a moment."
The Seraphyte nodded as she signaled her men to move.
With almost a third of their ships gone, it would cause quite a lot of trouble, and they
would probably need to ask for more from their faction, but it didn't matter.
As long as they were alive, they could think of something.
...
"You, what is your name?"
On the other side, Nux, who had come to the Dead World Vyriana was in together with a
Sovereign Level Dreadborn, questioned.
"Grafan."
The Dreadborn answered politely.
"Grafan, can you use Shadow Walk?"
"Yes, my Lord."
"Alright,"
Nux nodded, and then, he threw the Relic towards him.
"Connect with it."
He ordered.
"W-What?"
Grafan blinked in surprise; he knew what this was.
"Do what I said."
Nux ordered.
"Y-Yes."
Grafan quickly connected with the Relic, and Nux nodded.
His plan was simple. If he ever needed to use it, he would make Grafan break his connection and take the weapon from him. Since Grafan could use Shadow Walk, he could enter his Universe, making it possible for Nux to have the Relic with him all the
time.
As for the main Universe detecting Grafan's disappearance?
Nux had a solution for that as well.
He would take the Dreadborn to Umbrasol and, using the Veil to his advantage, take him
inside his Universe.
Yes, from now on, Grafan would stay in his Universe, with his only purpose being the
carrier of the sword.
Nux also considered the possibility of the Supreme World of Eternity finding out about his Universe through Grafan. Soon, however, he shook his head.
The Veil could even fool the Universe. The Supreme World should be the same. If those
beings were actually keeping an eye on every Relic Holder, then for them, Grafan should be no different than all other beings who lost their lives in Umbrasol.
Nux highly doubted those beings would think too much about the weakest bunch of
Relics, and if that's not the case?
Well, then in the end, Nux would need to prepare himself and face the Supreme Worlds.
Thinking about it, Nux shook his head, and then, he walked towards Vyriana, Who was sitting on the poor Primordial's unconscious body, which was full of bruises,
with a bored look on her face, waiting for him.
The moment she saw him, she appeared next to him and tried to punch him. Nux, however, countered her punch in an instant and grabbed her from behind.
"Missed me?"
He whispered into her ears.
"You dare send just one of them? Why did you close the portal!?"
The Dragon was angry.
