"Malcharon."
Nux called out as he walked towards the Nightveil. The women followed behind him. "My Lord."
The Nightveil knelt down. Clearly, the man was desperate to show his loyalty.
Nux didn't stop him either.
"Are you done?"
He just asked the question.
"Yes, My Lord."
Malcharon nodded.
"The people behind me have all decided to submit to me."
At his words, Nux looked behind, and his eyes fell on around 200,000 Sovereigns, all kneeling on the floor with their heads low.
Nux raised his eyebrow.
"That's quite a number."
"Now I regret killing the rest. I would have held back if I knew this would happen."
Ember commented, and at her words, the rest of the women nodded. After all, they had killed quite a few.
Malcharon and the army stayed silent.
"What about the rest?"
Nux questioned.
"They decided to stay in Tandris.
Does the Lord want me to deal with them?"
"Oh? What are you going to do?"
Nux questioned with a curious look on his face.
"I can kill them all if the Lord feels it would be troublesome to deal with them."
Once again, at Malcharon's words, the soldiers behind him trembled as they exchanged nervous glances.
Nux, who noticed that, couldn't help but comment,
"You know, Malcharon,
To say such words in front of your soldiers, they won't be very loyal to you if this continues."
"They should know that I am doing this for their own sake."
Malcharon answered, and seeing how fast he did that, Nux just stared at the soldiers
behind the Nightveil, and in the end, he just shrugged.
"Oh well, not that any of this matters."
Then, Nux stepped forward and stared at his 'soldiers.'
"Are you all willing to be my slaves?"
The soldiers exchanged glances, confused.
What was this man trying to do?
Slaves?
Weren't they being recruited?
Of course, Nux didn't give them enough time to think this through.
"I do not like to repeat myself."
And the instant he said those words,
BOOM
The Nightveil released his Aura.
"Answer the Lord's question"
His words echoed throughout the battlefield and in an instant,
"Yes, our Lord."
The soldiers answered in unison, and suddenly, a foreign energy entered their bodies. The soldiers frowned. They tried to use their own energy to try and understand what this energy was; some even tried to push it out of their bodies, but then,
"AAAGgGGgGGhHhhhHHHH!!!"
A few soldiers fell on the ground, screeching in pain.
"Malcharon, follow me."
Nux, completely ignoring them, ordered Malcharon and flew in the air. Malcharon followed.
"All the artifacts you have or your people have, show me."
Nux ordered.
It was time to take the spoils of war.
"Yes, my Lord."
"Start thinking about being loyal to him and the pain shall stop. Look at others around you; none of them felt such pain because none of them harbored the thought of going
against him."
On the other side, Ember, together with the other women who stood in front of the army of Sovereigns, stepped forward and spoke in a calm tone.
At her words, some soldiers, who followed her advice, stopped writhing in pain. The rest, however, were still rolling on the ground, feeling pain they never thought was possible to
feel.
"You are now slaves, just like you agreed to. If even a mere thought of betraying your Master enters your mind, you will feel this pain, and it will continue until that thought
goes away."
Ember stared at all the soldiers and,
"So I suggest you stay loyal to your Master and not try something funny.
Trust me,
That man can do worse things."
As her words ended, all the soldiers felt a chill running down their spines. Even Inferath, who had stayed back, trembled. He had never seen his soldiers scream in such agony.
By then, Nux and Malcharon returned as well.
"Did you find something?"
Astaria questioned.
Nux shook his head.
"Somewhat. There are around a hundred Chains of Soul, the shield they used before the
battle began, and some other artifacts these people call treasures.
Nothing too impressive though; none of the artifacts would be of any use against. Transcendent Level Beings."
The women stared at this man in silence.
"What about the Relic? Did you connect with it yet?"
Astaria questioned.
Relics were different from normal weapons or artifacts. Since they had consciousness, one needed to form a connection with them before being able to use them.
It wasn't a long process. Since the Relic's owner was dead, Nux could become its next owner. While there are some Relics who 'choose their owner on their own, they are much stronger than normal artifacts. The weakest Relics do not have such limitations, else that Leader would have never been able to use it in the first place. Nux, however, had a different problem when it came to connecting with the Relic.
"The Relics come from the Supreme World of Eternity...
I do not wish to create a link that connects us with them just yet."
"Hmm? Are you saying forming a connection with a Relic forms a link with the Supreme
World of Eternity?"
Aeliana tilted her head in doubt.
"I am not sure."
Nux shook his head.
Even with all the knowledge he had, the information regarding the Supreme Worlds was
severely limited.
"The Umbrasol Progenitors had doubts that the Supreme Worlds were keeping an eye on them through these Relics. It would make sense, since an Infinity appeared just when they thought everything was working out.
Of course, there is a chance that I am wrong, not to mention, as we are right now, the Supreme Worlds wouldn't even care about our existence, but for now,
Let's keep all the gates closed and avoid troubles, okay?"
Nux spoke, and the women nodded, especially Aeliana.
"Mhm, even Father wanted you to stay away from the Supreme Worlds."
"Does Lord Azriel not have a Relic of his own?"
Melia questioned with a curious look on her face. Acliana, however, shook her head.
"If he did, he didn't tell me about it."
Nux, however, shook his head. "That man probably doesn't even need one."
None of the women doubted those words.
"Anyways, what do we do now?"
"Well..." Before Nux could say anything.
"We need to go to Velcria"
Ember spoke up.
"Hmm?"
Everyone turned towards her, and the Dragon smiled.
"We completed the mission. Don't you think we should be rewarded?"
At those words, the rest grinned as well.
