Chapter 505 : 504: Mortally Wounded
Chapter 505 : 504: Mortally Wounded
"Valecrest Art: Rage of The Almighty!"
The moment Pamela said these words, she threw her Destroyer with so much force that her arm instantly snapped the instant Destroyer left her hand.
The spear moved at the speed of light, and before Zal'Zerael could even think of reacting or responding to the appearance of the Destroyer, the spear appeared before it faster than it could blink.
No sound was made, and no massive explosion was produced the moment the Destroyer pierced through half of Zal'Zerael's head.
Zal'Zerael's only remaining eye took a moment to react to his current condition, and when it did, it slowly widened in immense disbelief and for the first time since it could remember… fear and horror filled its gaze.
Its body started falling into one of the extremely large mountains beneath it, and it crashed into it before falling into the sea of liquid lightning.
Due to its extremely large body and the fact that it was still in its domain, it did not sink into the depths of the sea of liquid lightning. Instead, the upper part of its body could still be seen.
Despite crashing into a mountain and falling into the sea of liquid lightning, Zal'Zerael did not seem to notice that it had fallen. Its gaze was still shaken and filled with horror and disbelief at its current condition.
Meanwhile, Pamela stood amidst the chaos that was unleashed by Zal'Zerael's Imperium, her body battered and bleeding, and her silver infinity-marked eyes bleeding profusely.
SHattered runes, arcs of lightning, and shards of condensed chaotic and arcane energy littered the air.
She looked around, and she could see the immense damage that was occurring to the Imperium.
The Imperium was no longer recognizable. The chaotic beauty it previously had was gone, and all that was left was just a scene of pure destruction and the remnants of the cataclysmic battle.
A major part of the sea of liquid lightning was split into two as a result of her last attack, massive waves constantly rose and fell in great magnitudes. The sky was fractured and cracks could be seen throughout the sky as crystallized clouds mixed with lightning fell like snow.
She shifted her gaze from the chaos and destruction around her to observe the current state of her body.
The most serious injury on her body was her right arm. Her right arm was dislocated from the shoulder, and the bones from her shoulder all the way to her fingers were shattered. Her elbow was also dislocated, and her skin was burnt and peeled apart. Blood was constantly dripping down her fingers into the sea of liquid lightning below.
Her primal suit of arcane armour, once radiant and unblemished, was cracked and scorched, and her breathing was extremely laboured and rough as she gazed at the colossal body of the draconic abomination.
Every part of her and the runes around her were warning her that she was extremely close to her limits and that she should dispel her current state, however, her hands gripped her Destroyer with cold and ruthless eyes.
She took calm but steady steps as she approached Zal'Zerael. Although it took a minute or so to finally stand in front of Zal'Zerael due to how slow she was walking, she had no other choice.
Her body was in immense pain and every step she took was immensely difficult for her. If she decided to run, she would damage her body further, so she wanted to use the opportunity to at least reduce the stress on her body by even a single percent.
As she stood in front of Zal'Zerael with her body being on literal hazy flames, and the runes on her slowly fracturing and breaking apart, Zal'Zerael slowly turned toward her with a hollow gaze in its single remaining eye.
More than half of it was blown away, and with every second that passed, more and more of its body was getting destroyed.
It was dying.
"Wha- What did you do?"
The draconic abomination asked with a hollow voice.
While Pamela was approaching it, it had tried using a lot of skills to heal itself, but none worked.
It had tried rewinding time, but it failed.
It had tried splitting its body into multiple storm entities, and then it would abandon the destroyed fragment of it, and come back together. Although this would reduce the power it would have after reuniting, it would live… But it failed.
Even its trump card, Calamitous Rebirth failed.
Calamitous Rebirth was an ability where it would sacrifice its physical body to become a pure storm entity. In this form, it is untouchable by physical attacks and moves as a colossal, sentient storm, raining destruction and lightning across the entire Raging Sky.
After a thousand years, it would condense into a new physical body that would be stronger and more terrifying than its current body.
This ability was its trump card when it was mortally wounded, and it could count the number of times it had used it.
Just twice.
One was against HIM
The second was against its previous friend turned enemy, the third strongest Power of the Old Ones… The Capra King.
'We and the Old Ones banished him… I'm sure that stupid goat would be very happy to hear of my death.'
Zal'Zerael briefly thought, and then it stared at Pamela with an empty gaze.
Despite asking her a question, she chose not to reply it, and just kept on staring at it with cold eyes that were filled with killing intent.
It looked down, and then it briefly observed its body.
Although it didn't receive an answer from Pamela, it could feel it in his body.
Pamela's strange energy which was comprised of Mystic Mana, Mystic Force, Arcane Energy, Runes, and another strange energy was wreaking havoc in its body with every second that passed.
Any attempt to evoke an ability was immediately noticed and it would destroy the runes that were about to form in it, and not only that, the energy was destroying its connection with the lightning infinity crystal in its body.
It didn't know how this was possible since its connection with the lightning infinity crystal was not something that could just be severed even with runes… It was more in-depth than runes.
However, what Zal'Zerael didn't know was that Pamela's last attack did not only destroy its physical body, it also destroyed a part of its soul.
The soul was an entirely new concept that Pamela learned recently, and attacking the soul was something that was extremely difficult for her… unlike Corey.
However, Pamela had no intention of explaining this to Zal'Zerael since she knew that she was not meant to have knowledge or the power to damage the soul in her current realm.
'I guess it's time to use it.'
The moment Zal'Zerael had this thought, the storm above them stilled, and Pamela's gaze sharpened as she gazed at the sky.
The moment she did... time froze.
