Chapter 785 Luce's Daughter

Chapter 785 Luce's Daughter

It was a brand new day.

Theodore and Ariel were all dressed up and ready to leave for Romania.

"Are you sure you will be okay by yourself here?" Theodore cupped Adeline's cheeks and asked her.

Adeline gave a sweet smile and nodded. "I will be fine, Theo. I won't be alone here."

"Are you sure?" Theodore slightly raised his brows and asked his wife again.

Ariel had been staring at her parents while standing cross-armed in one corner of their parent's room. She slightly curled her upper lip and scoffed, "Dad… If you don't want to leave mom then it's fine. I will go back by myself."

Theodore was quick enough to shut his daughter down. "Yes, as if I will allow you to go back alone. At least not until yesterday's incident settles down a bit, or at least until your grandmother is back from her isolation."

"Then let's get going!" Ariel asked in an agitated voice. "You've been cuddling with mom since an hour ago! Get a break, you two!"

"Hey, it hasn't even been ten minutes!" Theodore furrowed his brows and said in a low voice.

Ariel drooped her shoulders and flung her head back. "Ughhhhh!" she grumbled while stomping her feet like a child.

She still loved behaving like a pampered child when she was with her parents.

Adeline gave out a chuckle and put her arms around her husband's neck to give him a hug. She quickly pulled away and then reassured her husband, "I will be just fine, Theo. I will be busy with all the paperwork, meetings, and whatnot. Now, now… Hurry up and go there before you are too late."

Adeline was already in a rush to reach the court. So, she quickly turned to leave the room and said while walking out, "Joyce and her family must be eagerly waiting for your arrival. You two shouldn't make them wait for longer."

"See you soon, mom," Ariel said to her mother while following her with her eyes.

"See you soon, Ary," came the faint reply.

Upon the mention of Joyce's name, Ariel had recalled the important revelation that Damien had made yesterday.

As the last night was very eventful, she was exhausted by the time she returned to the Palace with her parents and Herbert. And she had gone to sleep without having any further conversation with her parents.

Yesterday night, the only memories that Ariel had let her father look into were from the time Michael and Tobias had arrived in front of her to the time her grandfather vanished from Earth.

Theodore was yet to know the big news about Joyce.

Ariel looked at her father and contemplated if it was the right time to give that information to her father. She felt that there would never be the right time for such a thin.

Thus, so as to keep her father in the loop, and not make it awkward later, Ariel looked at her father and said, "Dad… Um… Before we go, you need to know something."

And without missing a beat, Theodore plugged his ears with his index fingers and shouted, "Aaahh! Don't! I completely understand why you gave that healing pill to Damien, though I don't approve of the method you used. I didn't need to see that. And I don't want to talk about it. Now, let's go."

"Dad!" Ariel instantly turned red with embarrassment.

She had already forgotten about that, and now, hearing it from her father made her recall how she had done more than that. And she even feared thinking that she might have accidentally let her father witness the actual kiss between her and Damien.

However, looking at how her father wasn't mad at her or Damien, she didn't think that he had seen that embarrassing moment between her and Damien.

Theodore came and stood in front of Ariel. And he held out his hand so that they could teleport together. "Come, let's go," he asked again.

Instead of holding her father's hand, Ariel composed herself and abruptly said, "Dad, that's not what I was trying to talk about. I have something to tell you about Joyce."

"About Joyce?" Theodore's eyes brightened thinking it was some kind of good news.

However, what Ariel said next shocked him to the core.

"Yes." Ariel slightly parted her lips and deeply inhaled. And she blurted out, "Joyce is the reincarnation of Mackenzie, Uncle Luce's daughter. Damien confirmed it with someone from Hell."

Theodore was so stunned upon hearing that revelation that he turned into a statue.

"Dad?" Ariel looked concerned thinking about how her father was taking that information.

Theodore raised his hand and gestured for her not to talk. He then closed his eyes and went through the memories about Joyce.

Everything slowly started to make sense to him, or rather, he was able to connect the dots.

The way Joyce was never scared of dogs, the way fire was the first element she was able to manipulate, and the way she wore the plant from Hell as if it was a trophy.

He suddenly gasped when he recalled something from Ariel's memory.

He looked at Ariel and asked, "She was able to shoot out a fireball?" He clearly remembered as day, the signature hand signs used by Makenzie. And Joyce was using the exact hand signs.

"Yes?" Ariel replied while a few frown lines appeared between her brows. "Wasn't she always able to do that?"

Theodore ran his fingers through his long hair while shaking his head. "She has been able to produce fire but never a fireball… And she has never been able to use pure magic instead of borrowed magic. No witch can wield pure magic, at least not the alive ones."

"So, you do believe that Joyce is the reincarnation of Mackenzie?" A sense of relief was reflected in Ariel's voice because she was a bit skeptical about her father believing in her without further questioning.

"Yes." Theodore gave a melancholic smile and said, "Let's go and meet her."

"Don't forget about me!" the white cat came running towards the two of them and climbed Ariel as if she was a tree.
