Chapter 750 Different Perspectives
Chapter 750 Different Perspectives
Irene went through one helluva roller-coaster ride of emotions when her mother showed her everything there was to know about Ariel.

She showed her how Ariel was a constant target of several beings from Heaven as well as Earth. She showed her how God had tried to interfere in Ariel's life, how she was separated from her friend, the reason why the Goddess had to put up the barrier, and how Theodore wasn't forcing Ariel to stay inside the Palace for all those years.
When Irene finally opened her eyes, she was lost for words. She couldn't believe that she had been lied to by Nathaniel and Michael.
Her eyes dilated when she thought to herself, "I should have known something wasn't right when Nathaniel said to me that he wanted to set aside all our differences. He thinks of me as his arch-enemy. How could I fall for his words so easily? And Michael… he is the most selfish and cunning one among us. Why did I even listen to a word he said?"
The Goddess was well aware that Irene was blaming herself at the moment.
So, to lighten up her mood, she asked her daughter, "I had seen how badly you wanted to meet Ariel. I didn't allow you to get closer to her because I had thought something like this could have happened since you had been to Michael's palace. But now that you know the truth, would you like to meet her?"
Irene's eyes instantly lighted up.
"Can I meet her?" she asked with a bit of hesitation and a little bit of excitement.
The Goddess nodded. "Sure, you can. You aren't a threat to Ariel. So, why not? I am sure Ariel will also be happy to meet her aunt."
Irene lightly placed her palm over her chest and enthusiastically smiled. "Yes. I would also love to meet her. Can we see her now?"
The Goddess subconsciously looked at the horizon. The sun had already set down and the stars were starting to shine in the night sky.
She pressed her lips together and suggested, "It's already late today. Ariel must be busy with her dinner and gatherings. How about we meet her tomorrow? She will be traveling to another Kingdom tomorrow. I will find an opening and let you two have a nice conversation."
"I can't wait for tomorrow then," Irene smiled ear to ear and flung herself to hug her mother.

"He is getting bolder and bolder these days." The almighty had a deep frown of dissatisfaction on his forehead while he watched Michael sneaking around Ariel and watching her every move as though he was a spy.
He breathed in heavily and closed his eyes. "I should have never given that much power and authority to Michael. The power and greed are making him lose sight of what his true purpose is."
God then reminded himself, "I should not delay my meeting with Ariel now. It is about time I start to mold her into my heir. If I leave things to Michael then he will bring doom to the universe."
---
It had already been around four days since Michael started to spy on Ariel on his own.
By now, he was convinced that Ariel wasn't as special as he had thought her to be.
He hadn't seen Ariel using her powers, not even once. He only saw her doing things that an average teenage human usually did, like enjoying the food and places and having normal conversations with her friends.
While spying on Ariel, Michael got to know that she and the others were going to travel to the neighboring Kingdom of Romania today.
And he pondered to himself, "Maybe I should leave her be for now. Looking at how she behaves like a mere human, I don't think there is anything to worry about."
He smirked to himself and thought, "Theodore's wife must have had a strong influence on their daughter. After all, she is the one who tamed the Devil and made him wag his tail in front of her like a pathetic dog."
Michael almost laughed out loud and blew his cover when a thought crossed his mind. "What is Theodore called these days? A Prince Consort? Pathetic! I never thought he would stoop so low... being known by his wife's name!"
After insulting Theodore in his mind, Michael took one last glance at Ariel.
Ariel and the others were now preparing to travel to the other Kingdom by carriage.
"I don't think I can keep on taking in those silly gossips about teenage love and whatnots anymore. I've had enough. I think by now, our father also knows how unworthy his prized granddaughter is. There's nothing to worry about."
He had a wide smile when he spread his wings and flew towards the sky.

As promised, the Goddess came to find Irene again so that she could fulfill her daughter's wish.
"Mother, I was waiting for you." Irene greeted her mother and innocently smiled.
The Goddess gave a warm smile to her daughter and held out her palm for her. "I was waiting for the right time. Ariel reached Romania a while ago. I believe that by now, she must have freshened up. I will take you to her and I hope you can handle the rest."
Irene held her mother's hand. Now that she was finally going to meet Ariel, she was getting a little nervous.
"I haven't met her before. So, will you help and introduce me to her?" Irene smiled a bit shyly and further added, "And if you don't mind, stay by my side. Please?"
The Goddess couldn't contain her laugh. "Why is it that you turn into a child when you are around me?"
"I'm not!" Irene said defensively. "I just… I don't really know how to strike up a conversation with Ariel. And I will feel more confident if you are by my side. I simply want to have a good first impression on her. That's why I am asking for your help."
"Alright, dear." The Goddess smiled at her daughter and agreed. "I understand where you're coming from. I will stay by your side. So let's head there now."
After Irene gave a nod, the mother and daughter disappeared from there within the next second.
