Chapter 507 Ascended Talent Shop
Chapter 507 Ascended Talent Shop
William decided that since he had enough Points for either, he'd upgrade the Mana Dominator Talent first. After quickly confirming his choice to the System, another 25 Ascended Points were subtracted from William's balance.

The new effects of his Mana Dominator Talent were as expected, exactly twice as strong as they were previously. Along with the increased size to his Mana Reserves, William felt that the Mana Points on his thumb were much emptier than before.
His body automatically routed his Mana to the now half-empty Mana Points. The problem with this, however, was that William had yet to regenerate his Mana. He barely had two million Mana stored up!
The two Mana Points were demanding more than fifteen million Mana each, which placed William in a severely disadvantageous position. He was out of combat and his Mana Regeneration had doubled as well, but William could only recover four million Mana per hour!
When holding the Mana Gathering Staff, that number increased to just over 5.4 million hourly Mana Regeneration, but he would need six hours to refill his Mana Points! What would happen if his Mana Veins were properly routed to all twelve of the Greater Mana Points on his hand? Would upgrading the Mana Dominator Talent lead to instant death?
William sat still and concentrated on recovering his Mana as quickly as possible, feeling woozy the entire time but not fully succumbing to Mana Sickness. As an Ascension Realm Cultivator, it was much more difficult for Mana Sickness to affect William, but it was still possible.
If he remained at 0 Mana in his Reserves for too long, even he could potentially pass out.
Once William's Mana Points were full and his Reserve started filling up, he chose to upgrade his Fitness Talent for the second time. His reasoning was simple: Fitness affected both his offensive and defensive capabilities and was by far one of the most powerful Talents on the list.
If he wasn't planning to roam the Quake Dungeon for the next week, William might have waited a few more hours and upgraded the Mana Dominator Talent again. For now, though, it was better to directly increase his strength. Who knew what enemies awaited William on the higher floors?
When he finishes up in the Quake Dungeon, William might have gathered the additional 27 Ascended Points necessary to reach 50 AP. By then, it wouldn't be too late for a last-minute upgrade to the Mana Dominator Talent.
His next few training sessions would likely be devoted to refining his Mana Circuits, so the extra Mana Regeneration would do him wonders. He could even avoid several dangers that would definitely creep up later.
Sure, his Mana Points would take in considerably more Mana each time his Mana Reserves increased, but William only had a few Mana Points at the moment. Now was the perfect time to upgrade his Mana, since future upgrades would not be as simple.
As long as he has over half of his total Mana Reserve available when he upgrades the Talent, there was no risk of Mana Sickness or other related injuries.
The System informed William of the successful upgrade, which raised his Ascended Fitness Talent to E-Rank. The next upgrade would cost him a staggering 250 Ascended Points, reminding William just how poor he was.
Like previously, all effects of the Fitness Talent were twice as strong as the previous Rank. His Accelerated Reflexes Bonus Effect improved to become a round number, from 192 times to 400 times directly.
All the simultaneous improvements that came along with the Talent upgrade made it difficult for William to determine just how powerful his body was currently. When it came to a Mythic Talent like Fitness, increases weren't as simple as two plus two equals four.
No, one had to factor in all the Sub-Talents that went into the main Talent. Reflexes, agility, endurance, and raw power were all modified by this singular Talent, along with others William didn't mention.
With more stacking effects from Titles, other Talents, his equipment, and buffing Spells, William's strength may have risen dozens of times compared to the X-Rank version of the Fitness Talent. If he were to launch a punch from anywhere inside the Mortal Realms, William would probably shatter any world into a million pieces. Nothing would stand a chance.
My body is definitely in the Initial Deity Realm, but it's hard to tell if I'm in the Lower, Middle, or Upper Stages... There's only one way to find out! He stood up and opened a portal to the fourteenth floor's stairwell.
William only had 23 Ascended Points remaining, which weren't nearly enough for a decent upgrade. The best thing he could afford right now was an upgrade to the Forcefield Recovery Talent; it wasn't worth it.
-Aren't you forgetting something? The Ascended Talent Shop?
William froze in his tracks. That's right, how could I have forgotten? I can get new Talents!
He navigated the System Panel until the Ascended Talent Shop was in front of him. It had replaced the old Talent Shop, but William didn't care too much about that.
After all, the System said that Talents bought from the Ascended Talent Shop would always be Ascended, meaning he didn't have to run off on a wild goose chase looking for an obscure item that could only be used once.

ASCENDED TALENT SHOP:
-Random Ascended Talent: 5AP (x2)
-Random Ascended Physical Talent: 10AP (x2)
-Random Ascended Trade Talent: 25AP (x2)
-Random Ascended Passive Talent: 25AP (x2)
———
Damn, why is everything so expensive? William looked at the prices with a frown. The old Talent Shop would increase in price linearly when he bought something, but the Ascended Talent Shop would directly double the future price of whatever he purchased.
That was ridiculous!
If William bought five Ascended Physical Talents, by the fifth purchase it would cost 160 Ascended Points! That didn't even guarantee that he would get a Talent!
System, are you trying to scam me?
-I always value shop items appropriately. If you have a complaint, keep it to yourself.
Tch. What a pain. William wasn't happy, but he decided to spend a few Ascended Points on a random Ascended Physical Talent anyway. The System wasn't known to lie, so the steep cost must mean these Talents were pretty good. Read the latest on empire
