Chapter 506 Getting Close to Sector 20
Chapter 506 Getting Close to Sector 20
Shane couldn't help but feel happy after seeing the loot he just obtained. After all, he was able to get 5 Equipment Sets!
Furthermore, this equipment set had seven items! Based on his experience, just wearing 3 or even 4 of them, an Equipment Set Effect would already get triggered.
With seven of them in the set, he was expecting to get two Set Effects. He was excited to see what kind of effect he'd get.
After all, all his Set Equipment was already in terrible condition or even broken already. After all, those gears weren't repaired after the Zombie Challenge Event.
His Great Survivor Set, Rock Python Set, and other sets were no longer usable…

Anyway, Shane decided not to equip them yet as he returned to the messages in the chat.
[ Shane: I got an Equipment Set… Let's just say it's enough to make the next Lord-Tier fight even more interesting. You'll find out soon enough. ]
Of course, he was just saying this since they wouldn't be able to find it out. He had no plans of revealing his items at all. They should be happy already know that he gained a set of equipment.
[ Natalie: Fair enough. Congrats again, Shane. You've set the bar. Also, don't kill too many Lord Tier, please. Give us a chance. ]
Shane no longer bothered reading the messages but, of course, the chat still continued.
[ Tristan: Man, now I'm even more hyped to find a Lord-Tier Zombie. Let's go! ]
[ Isolde: Same here. Time to step up our game. ]
[ Marcus: Ugh, fine. Back to the grind. If Shane can do it, so can I. ]
[ Travis: Good luck, everyone. Looks like things are about to get interesting. ]

Asad, who had just read the chat couldn't help but feel curious about the loot. To be honest, he was also planning to fight against the Lord Tier Zombie. However, during the Zombie Challenge Event, all of his high-level Zombies were killed. Well, he was also killed in the process, but unlike him, his summons were not resurrected.
Because of that, he had to accumulate Zombies once again.
Even if he had the Grimoire with him, there was no way to recover in just a week or so… He needed a month for that to happen.
Anyway, Asad just continued reading the chat to pass the time while he was traveling. After all, he was being transported by a Skeleton Elephant right now and no Zombies could reach him with two Death Knights protecting him.
His undead summons may not be enough to fight a Lord Tier Zombie, but it was more than enough to deal with the weaker ones.
After a few moments, Asad recalled something and immediately chatted.
[ Asad: Alright, back to business. Anyone else think the old skyscraper in Sector 18 might have something valuable? Heard rumors about it being an old pharmaceutical hub before the collapse. ]
Indeed, he was currently in Sector 18, heading to Sector 20. However, seeing the huge building from afar, he couldn't help but ask the chat if they knew something about it.
[ Natalie: I know that that ROTK Clan tried to conquer that place, but many died. Try to ask Travis since he has a lot of info on that area. ]
[ Travis: You're already there? You're fast. However, many consider that place a deathtrap. One of my Avatars and his team died there last couple of weeks—only one barely made it out alive. Those Chimera Zombies are no joke. Whatever's inside better be worth the risk. Anyway, there shouldn't be any Lord Tier there since I didn't get notified. ]
[ Ava: Chimera Zombies? Don't tell me they've evolved AGAIN. What's next, Zombies that can fly? ]
[ Marcus: There's indeed Flying Zombies in my areas. ]
[ Natalie: If it's a pharmaceutical hub, it might have vaccine blueprints or even samples left behind. Could be a game-changer if someone manages to secure it. ]
As soon as Natalie mentioned this, everyone reading the chat agreed with her statement. After all, they just learned that a chimera Zombie was there. It seemed that the place really had something going on. If they were able to gather information related to the virus or even a vaccine, they might be able to receive a huge reward from the System.
[ Travis: The place is crawling with Chimera Zombies, and the environment there is toxic. You'll need advanced gear just to survive long enough to search. I believe it's better to deal with Lord Tier first before going to that place. Also, do not bombard it with RPGs! There might be important files or treasures there! ]
[ Lesley: Speaking of advanced gear, does anyone know who's selling high-grade gas masks? ]
[ Gerald: Check the Market. Someone's been flooding it with supplies lately. They probably have some insane alchemy stuff up for grabs—medicines, salves, pills, you name it. ]
[ Natalie: Oh yeah! We bought a batch of his Healing Salves a few hours ago. I think a Legendary Alchemist started releasing their stocks. ]
[ Travis: We all know that's Herman… ]
Herman was one of the first Survivors who had decided to leave the Beginner Protection like Shane, Travis, Raze, and others. Although he wasn't in the Top Rankings, he was known for his incredible creations. They could be weapons, equipment, medicines, or even pieces of furniture. Herman was indeed a master craftsman and Diana Wells, learned from him.
Those who knew about his works couldn't help but appreciate his work.
[ Oliver: Same here… There's also that guy with an alias… It's Hidden Patrol… I got Mana Recovery Pills from that person. All of the things he made are lifesavers during long fights. Gotta admit, the guy's a genius. ]
[ Travis: The two of them are already dominating the consumable items. They're really the best Supports out there. ]
Asad read the chat messages as they continued to talk about some random things. Nonetheless, he was already satisfied since he learned about the huge building.
'Chimera Zombies, huh… There's nothing like them in the desert. I should check them out.' Asad thought as he believed that he would be able to gather a lot of Experience Points and loot decent items if he decided to conquer that area.
