Chapter 203: Chrono Nexus’ Feelings And An Absurd Quest

Burdened with such knowledge, life to her has always been very boring. Knowing everything meant there was no thrill in living life, so she never hangs around with the other gods; they too are simply another boring existence, as was her own. That was until she discovered Akun. Until the time he activated his skill back in the dryad tribe, she had never known of his existence.

A being whose actions were not recorded in the library of time and existence, as such even the results of his actions were also not recorded, resulting in a new nature of things coming to light.

Although when she first met him, she wanted to understand the cause of such a phenomenon, but after she was beat up and sat on, a new nature she had never even known about herself came to light, resulting in her fondness over him.

"Life around him isn’t predictable," she muttered as she smiled, folding her hands behind her back as she added, "And all I want is to be part of that unpredictability, to be able to ’milk life for what it’s worth’ - as they say." She blushed as she added, "And I’m sure if I stay by his side, I’ll be able to discover that feeling of love every sentient entity finds so exhilarating." She giggled as she turned away from the book of Existence and added, "And maybe he’ll be the one to give it to me."

Walking away from the book of existence, she paused momentarily and glanced back at it as she muttered, "Hope you come back soon, master." She blushed slightly, as she smiled after she utterd those words.

As Akun entered the existence space, he was met with a rather peculiar sight.

"This is something else," he muttered as he glanced at the truly breathtaking scene before him. It appeared as if though he was hovering in the cosmos, with multiple glowing rainbow-like strings attached to everything. From the planets, the stars, the black holes, the comets, the exploding stars, to the formation of new planets.

All these strings were linked to a very massive planet sized orb that was in the middle of all of it. The planet sized orb pulsed with otherworldly energy and seemed to be channeling that energy to every other entity or object that moved in the cosmic plane.

Akun then muttered, "Okay, system, I’m here now. What do I do?"

The system replied, echoing a message and a warning, [The player has to now find the world they came from as well as the alternate timeline and merge their strings together.]

[Warning to the player: all the strings each play a gigantic role in the rules that govern a certain aspect of existence as well as how things work.]

[Breaking even a single one of them could lead to a momentous chain reaction, resulting in thousands of others breaking, resulting in the disaster of a lifetime.]

[Mere words will not be able to describe the sheer chaos that will be unleashed on all of existence.]

[After the chaos ends, everything that exists will cease to exist - the ending of all things.]

[So the player has to be as careful as possible and navigate through all the strings, as slowly and carefully as possible.]

Akun couldn’t help but mutter, "Damn, that’s way too much pressure for one man. And how the hell am I supposed to navigate through this? The strings are practically everywhere; it would take forever to get through them and locate my world."

The system then replied, [The player doesn’t have to worry; the longest this task could take is approximately 50 years.]

Akun then exclaimed, "That’s way too long! What about the outside world? I can’t spend 50 years here. What will I eat, and what about my people back in the alternate timeline? They will start to lose faith in me."

The system then responded, [The player doesn’t have to worry; time in this space is considerably slowed down when compared to that of the other planes.]

[A year here is a microsecond in the real world.]

[Also, the player won’t grow hungry here, due to the fact the you possess an †Authority† you are registered as a divine being and as such you require no substance to exists in this plane.]

Akun then mumbled, "Wait, are you saying the other gods actually eat something?"

The system then replied, [They are alive; why won’t they?]

[Except for origin gods.]

[Every other god requires to eat to survive.]

Akun’s eyes widened with a tinge of surprise as he absorbed the revelation. "Well, that’s news to me," he mumbled, his thoughts racing to process the newfound information. He shifted his focus back to the myriad of glowing strings, suspended in the cosmic expanse before him. "Guess it’s time for me to embark on my next 50 years of limbo experience," he sighed.

"But, system, I don’t think I’ll actually be able to go through with this. Fifty years of solitude, constant searching, with nothing else; I might just go crazy before I finally succeed."

The system’s voice echoed once more, [Notice to the player, the time estimated earlier was made and based on the player’s current abilities—working continually without stopping. If the player humors thoughts like this once in a while or even pauses and delays, the time could almost be multiplied ten times.]

Akun, grappling with the weight of the task ahead, contemplated the implications. "So, what you’re saying is... my own sanity might be the biggest challenge here?" he muttered, a mix of frustration and resignation in his tone.

The system, devoid of emotion, responded, [The system would never pose a threat to the player’s mental well-being.]

Akun let out a wry chuckle. "Well, that’s comforting," he remarked sarcastically. "But how am I supposed to navigate through this maze of strings? It seems practically impossible. I can’t afford to spend decades in this cosmic puzzle." Find your next adventure on NovelBin.Côm

The system then replied [The pleyer should stop wasting time and begin the search.]
