I wish chapters came out more often. Even though it’s sometimes annoying when there is a reincarnated mc who knows everything across the world possible and acts all high and mighty or mysterious, this is not that bad overall. There's a lot I like about this after 90 chapters, but the problems made me drop it. Even the things I like are basically all ideas borrowed from Beware Of Chicken, which did them all better anyway and without all the baggage.This author is terrible with commas. For some reason this is a common problem with English originals. It makes the novel kind of painful to read, since there are dozens of comma errors each chapter.Dialogue is weird and unnatural, plus some characters have annoying phrases they constantly use. This is usually done as a very weak substitute for giving characters unique personalities (like someone not using contractions, ending sentences with ~nya, etc.), but the characters are one of the strongest points of the novel, so I just don't get why it's done here. About a third of one character's dialogue consists of either "senior" or "this one," like "This one agrees, senior." Almost every line of their dialogue has one or both. It gets annoying fast, especially since they're in about half the chapters once they're introduced. I ended up skipping entire chapters sometimes because this character's dialogue was so bad. People constantly call each other by their name or something like child/little one/senior when they talk. In the last chapter I read, 90% of the lines from one character were like "Not that way, child" or "Child, come over here." Almost every damn sentence had "child" in it. Literally nobody talks like that. It's awful, and just about every character does it.I dropped this at around chapter 15 of a competition arc. Going by chapter titles, there were still 9 chapters left before it finished. The pacing and story flow had been fairly decent up to that event, but nothing excuses a 24 chapter "run through the forest and find herbs" competition.My other complaints are minor things that probably won't stop anyone from reading. Like I said, there's plenty of good stuff here, but everything I would mention is done better in Beware Of Chicken. Definitely read that one first if you haven't already. If you like Beware Of Chicken and don't mind my issues with this novel, you'll probably like it, too.

After reading the first 30 something ch i can say its actually quite good and also somewhat interresting but for some reason i am bored reading it, probably because it is somewhat slow in these chapters(even if you cant take that as the general pace it seems to involve quite a lot of interactions between chars that dont even have to be dialog but also other things personly not what i like to read) ( and since it doesnt have many ch i drop it already, maybe sometime in the future it will be worth it for me)

10 chapters = 1 proper chapter. This novel starts off with the attitude of going to milk chapters and words kn your face.

But sometimes I feel that there're some part where I'm a bit bothered.Tbh the synopsis is a bit shitty so here my synopsis.It's the story of a broken/tool man who fell into a drama/fantasy K series where he heard most plot from his sister. He'll transmigrate as a 5y old orphan in a suspicious orphanage, and one day De Viatra family with its third child Alice came to pick up a servant for her. Knowing her story, MC will try to make her happy and not fall as villainess.From that you could say that it's just a generic trope of a male lead saving a poor villainesses. Yes it is, AT FIRST, but later you'll find out that there're many mystery surrounding MC, FML and many other side character and that's worth reading. The pace of the story might have been a bit too fast for MC & Villainesses childhood part , I hoped we could slowly see how she and Gabriel (MC) develop their relationship + Alice being more and more her "old self" from the series but changed.Still overall the story is great, we're uncovering the mystery at the same time as Gabriel and also while switching the POV with other people.
It seems strange to me that by chapter 23, all she did for him was give him some food. And now he's already her knight and all so devoted to her, I understand that he feels sorry for her as a future villain, but it's too far-fetched to serve someone

First off this is not my usual cup of tea. However, the biggest thing for me personally was the writing quality and worldbuilding were actually really good in my opinion. So good infact, that I was able to continue on with a couple chapters via google translate on the raws, and it was not a huge loss in readability. Only some localisations(names of people/items/places really) from the translator felt missed.There is the nationalism aspect, however, by now we have to be used to it, even if we hate it. Plus side however, is so far by chapter 133, it is not too bad, but it is thrown in your face. So far, there has not been direct racism, only digs at "cultural" differences. Mainly such as freedom of speech vs suppressed speech. (Obvious play at supporting the CCP there.) Otherwise, it has not been too cringy for me.Pacing however, I have to say is both slow and fast. Which keeps things interesting, because you dont know when or how the plot will thicken. There are many, many loops thrown at you. This makes it so that you know the Mc will "win" in the end as usual, but how and when, is never known until it happens. This has been refreshing for me, as opposed to most fantasy/cultivation based novels. the MC's "talent" seems fairly OP at first, but is quickly nerfed, with valid enough reasoning. Feeling less and less useful to the MC. The novel also is heavily invested in mental states, and emotions being shown and how they affect both the MC and others in the course, both in the "Weird" and "Real" worlds. Of the arcs currently, the first arc, was very good, and kept me glued. The 2nd arc, felt lackluster at first, however after some time, really grew and flipped the script. As for the 3rd arc, It has been decently paced with a merge of events from both worlds perspective, and from different characters as well. Which, can be a little hard to follow the transitions, but overall decent enough. For sure will keep it going, as long as it maintains at least half of the quality it has now.For me I would give this a solid 4.5/5 so far. Only based on the

This was a huge disappointment, the horror is lackluster at it's best, there's no thrill, no intensity, no satisfaction for completing anything. I read this for 50 some odd chapters because the first Weird World had some very interesting concepts that carried me through that Arc, but the dull headache and disappointment caught up with me at the beginning of the 2nd Arc.
This is better than what I thought at first. It seems braindead in the beginning, just like many other copy and paste Chinese novels out there but there’s much more in this. While it’s not that good in my eyes, it’s unexpectedly interesting at times, like for example the second dungeon which almost made me tear up at the end. Also his power seems really op but in the more recent chapters the enemy “hosts” learned how to limit the uses of his power so he has to use his wit and mental power to get through some things. So in conclusion, i recommend this if you’re bored and feeling like reading a mystery/ horror type novel where the mc needs to navigate through this hell like dungeon and find the mysteries through his intelligence to survive.
I'm at Chapter 106 now, after the end of the second Dungeon world. It's good so far. I don't really know what to call the invasion/infection of the Wierd World into reality, so will go for "infection" for this review - but it's not an ACTUAL infection, if that makes sense?The hints of nationalism in the first chapter appear worse than they actually are when you take into account the real world situation - 1 person per nation gets selected to complete the scenario. If they fail, then the Wierd World infects their country with something. If they do a normal clear, then it prevents their country from this infection temporarily. If someone does a perfect clear, it sounds like it will prevent infection for every country...I think.Given this reliance on 1 person to save everyone, the nationalism stuff makes more sense than being forced in, but it's still kinda annoying. In the 1st Dungeon World, the real world is basically useless. It is much more involved in the 2nd and likely will in some dungeons going forward.His deduction talent is fairly well written. There are some inconsistencies when it comes to him backtracking after a death when other times he can't, but overall its pretty good. It has a clear limitation that it is lower than the actual Weird World system thing, so it can't predict rewards or anything related to things outside the Dungeon world.The main thing that was kinda surprising was that, after completing the first Dungeon he was informed that he could either continue or leave. If he left, then 1 year later the infection would start whereas he could continue to challenge a Dungeon. He obviously chose to continue and the 2nd Dungeon started straight away. It looks like this was a 1 off thing, as it looks like from the second one, and going forward, he will get a 1 week break in the real world before being forced back into challenging a Dungeon world again.Edit: Each time some of the real world stuff is mentioned there are clearly very nationalistic tones within, as well as in the conclusion of the 2nd Dungeon world, but so far there hasn't been any negatives because of it - like the MC giving away something to help his 'fellow countrymen'. The real world government team thing are actually trying to help him properly, which is pretty nice.

Reading status - chapter 126This is pretty alright if you want to read some junk food. As the name suggests mc is reincarnated into a Japanese-style fantasy depressive game which is set in ancient Japan. The characters are pretty one-dimensional. The fight scenes are exciting as you're always engaged to see what happens next. The story feels also like a Shounen-esque type of one. The MC does get a power up in the future chapters at the end of epilogue 4 I think ? so it's evident that he wouldn't stay weak in the future as the story suggests in the beginning. And is worth a read. But tbh that's where the good qualities end. Apart from the somewhat coherent story and good fight scenes the story just feels tiring to read. There's no happiness or relaxation apart from 1 or 2 chapters you get before the start of a major arc. You would eventually just get tired and sick of it.The MC feels hollow. I can't connect with him or feels his emotions at the start. There's some what of detachment between the readers. Honestly this would've been rated better if it wasn't a harem or if the author just reduced the heroines to 4 to smth. It's difficult for me take the story seriously if its a harem. Go for it if you want.

I was so confused I had to reread it a few times. Also quotation marks are messed up, the words she and he are mixed together sometimes, the pov switches out of nowhere, and I have no idea who is talking many times. The plot is generic, which is fine by me as I came here knowing that but the translation makes it look like a clusterf#ck. If the translation gets better later on someone please let me know as I don’t mind persevering but as of now I’ll try something else

It is paced quite nicely, neither being too abrupt, but not meandering endlessly either. Edit: Chapter 18, and the plot threads continue to intrigue! The two main characters we see have a really nice dynamic between them. Both feel like fleshed out individuals. They've got some quippy lines, some interesting motivations, and a good back-and-forth. Really, what more is there to like in our leads?

I would argue they might know too much for the reader's good. I read a few chapters and put it aside as a potential to read, but the amount of times I had to google a word because they're using the ancient greek term was kind of annoying. I get it, it's set in an ancient greek setting so of course they'll use those terms, but it was far more of a chore to read and actually fully understand what was going on than most other books. Not to mention some of them seemed entirely unnecessary. If it's something that doesn't have a direct translation or you'd actually lose something by translating it, fine. But maybe half of them seemed so arbitrary. Maybe I'm just so familiar with the terms in Asian novels I just don't notice the same problems in them.

The author makes people places and things, however he adds no depth to any of it, leaving little to imagine. A large part of what makes a book good is how much there is for you to make yourself, however that doesn’t mean that you don’t talk about it at all. It’s almost like the author abhors describing what the mc sees to us if it doesn’t involve his funky little power fantasy.Side note : I wish I knew what was going through the authors mind when he made the title.Excuse my tone towards the end, I was getting annoyed at how bad the world was

Boring. The hook of this novel is the comedy of it. The OP Hero who refuses to be a hero. Unfortunately, that means there really isn’t anything interesting happening. MC rejects the system of the world for some reason, starts the story as the Saitama-like character of the world, but with none of the charm or character moments that One-Punch-Man brought to the table. Most of the early story revolves around “established powerful being meets MC (new to the world)” “ underestimates her” “she insta-kills them” *cue audience being terrified at her power*. MC is also stupid. She doesn’t really care about much, and seems to refuse to take advantage of her advantages. There’s a whole section of the early story where she’s essentially homeless, trying to sell burgers, but nobody will buy food from a non-chef “type” classier. Overall, while it’s technically well-written, I find both the MC and plot to be tripe and uninspired. Still, it’s worth a shot if you are a huge OP MC fan
I don't really agree - whilst I understand that it could be boring to many, I'd argue some of your points are unfavorable to the novel.Firstly, I don't think the comedy is meant to be the hook (there's frankly not much of it, so if it is then it's failing). I think the hook is the character interactions. I would of already dropped it if not for Noele. It's primarily a slice of life, not a comedy.Secondly, to say she rejected the system "for some reason" is disingenuous, as it's pretty clear that the reason she rejects it is because the only class she was offered would make her the protector of the system for the rest of her life, which she doesn't want.Also, she isn't really stupid, just bored. Sure she doesn't care about things, but the reason she doesn't take advantage of her strength is because she doesn't want the responsibility and bother it would bring her. Lastly, she wasn't essentially homeless since she had accommodation at an inn and has plenty of money to pay for it indefinitely.Overall, I agree that it's well written, and agree to some degree that the MC is uninteresting at times, but I think the novel as a whole is interesting enough as long as you don't mind a fair bit of slice of life. Edit: I forgot to mention; when you talk about her not being able to sell burgers, you say it as a bad thing, but really it's just good worldbuilding. Within that world, it's common knowledge that actual skill directly relates to system skill level, so someone having 0 levels must obviously be bad at that thing. It may be annoying as a reader, but it is a sign of consistent logic in worldbuilding, even if it the world's common knowledge is flawed.

It's not an F class ability. The Mc had a F class destiny while having an S class ability. The mc couldn't use his S class ability because he had an extemely low amount of mana. Desiny steaing is an S cass ability

I've read up to chapter 53 and think that's probably enough to give a review. I can't tell if I'll finish or drop yet because this novel keeps switching between a 3.5/5 and a 2/5 for me mostly due to the author's writing style and character design. A lot of the main characters think, talk, and act in this sarcastic and quippy manner that feels like they learned to be human from TV shows. If they aren't doing that they are acting super serious and annoyed at the joking of their comrades. Descriptions use tons of italicization, are long winded, and sometimes include large amounts of swearing. I don't mind swearing, especially if it's part of dialogue and fits in, but the way it's used highlights this annoying personality that fills the entire novel and all it's characters. This writing style is not always present, sometimes it feels like I'm reading a normal novel and when that happens I'm enjoying it. I think the power system and the premise itself is quite interesting and I want to see how Isaac tries to do everything right. It's too bad that every time I read a chapter I will inevitably get hit with this unpleasant writing style that stops my enjoyment in it's tracks.
I would've had made the same review. It does feel, too often that I'm reading a script of "Brooklyn nine-nine", then all of a sudden I'm hit with "House of cards" style dialogue. At least the author/editor and translator wasn't Chinese - it's one of the only upsides of the novel(if you know what I mean). The other upside is the system, it one of the least use ones, yet also the best (i don't know why most novel don't use it).
I agree that the characters are like that.. to a certain extent.There's certainly some influence from modern Hollywood but it's not as bad as most comparable novels on here. It's nothing too strange from reality, either. In workplace settings where full professionalism isn't currently required and peers have good relationships, it's pretty normal to get quippy with each other.Even in social professional settings it's not unusual to show off your wit when permissible. It's only when you're stuck with stuffy, no-fun-allowed bosses, colleagues and office policies that any attempt at humor or cleverness is gone. But that shit is just oppressive and inevitably unhealthy for mental health. It is, however, accurate to have a random smattering of them across the workplace. On a similar vein, the 'switch' to seriousness and descriptive is also a common phenomenon in professional settings. In a healthy professional environment there is a time and place for both the serious and non-serious. Especially with true professionals who have a passion for their job. There's both a need to be efficient to save time and attention span, and a need to be accurate and sufficiently verbose to reduce the chance of creating misunderstandings. And sometimes it's a necessity for the explainer themself, to maintain their train of thought when covering a complex topic.Anyway it's a balancing act that most people fail at, and novelists aren't immune to it either.... but in my opinion this author is actually one of the better ones.Keep in mind that the main character and his colleagues are university staff (with the additional task of teaching the public), so it's their job to explore the 'science' of the system more in-depth than a specialized combatant... which the vast majority of action fiction MC are.If you're unfamiliar with the social environments in higher education and the career paths stemming from it (pun unintended), this novel might seem a bit much.But rather than that making it a bad novel, that simply means you're not the intended audience.And that's fine. No novel is perfect for all audiences, and ironically the most popular stuff tends to neglect the vicarities of those most suited for higher learning careers. After all, the most common points of relation among the populace are rather... below average in intellectual requirements.That's why modern media tends to feel rather... dumb more often then not.

Pretty good, though it has its' flaws. Point of interest: the author seems to have some mild dyslexia or something similar. Words seem to appear and disappear where you'd normally expect them to be, or not be.It makes it a little hard to read sometimes but it's still readable. Kunda hilarious though, sometimes.

A unique take on the prevent apocalypse with future memories trope, usually you have a mc power creeping his growth and strenght to crush all problems by himself, not this guy, he understands that he has better chances of fixing the future by slowly making people aware of how maliciously the system is made rather than farming for power.The system allows to easily summon monsters to kill for exp, but many summons can screw you over easily, and if no one else kills them in time, monsters will start to summon new monsters in a snowballing effect, under that premise, divulging information from a research team to the masses is an effective and unique of fighting the apocalypse, and not as a full time researcher, he is strong enough to personally go and prevent many calamities.In short you have a mc that sees personal strenght and research divulgation as both equally important instead of being hyperfocused on his growth alone, its worth a try.and as a minor note, if you are very tired of american or asian names/places everywere then you may enjoy some german.

Story isn’t bad, but the pace is simply too slow. Felt that things were moving quickly in the beginning with the MC making so many plans and actually following through with them in an efficient manner, but after chapter 100 or so things begin to stagnate. After that point it’s simply the MC in his lab researching serums and the continuous recruitment of women to his team. Things took a turn when the outbreak finally occurs, but even that has been stretched for several dozen chapters. They still remain in the same city and have yet to leave. Simply feels like things aren’t headed anywhere.
