?

Nicole hummed as she flew into the sky on her broomstick.

Seeing her like this reminded Ethan of how childish Nicole could be when she was younger.

When she was in the academy, she always had this serious, but cool persona, and had an abundance in charisma.

Many Wizards and Witches liked her, and some of them had even gone as far as to ask for her hand in marriage.

However, Nicole had rejected these proposals because she wasn't interested in anyone, aside from her Mr. Ghost whom she thought she would never see again.

When she was a First Year, she would sometimes visit the Asta Residence, hoping to once again meet Mr. Ghost, who had cared for her and raised her to be an outstanding witch.

But she no longer saw him despite calling out to him many times.

Of course, she believed what Mr. Ghost had told her-that they would meet in the future, but Nicole didn't know when that would happen.

Although Mr. Ghost didn't have a face, the long hair, his voice, and the build of his body was something that Nicole wouldn't forget no matter what.

When she first heard Ethan talk, she recognized Mr. Ghost's voice.

But seeing how naive and ignorant he was back then, Nicole thought that she had simply mistaken him for the person whom she loved the most.

His lack of fighting ability and battle experience convinced Nicole that they were not one and the same.

How could the person who had taught her swordsmanship and magic be such a weakling?

However, her perception of Ethan changed when he and Lily returned from the lands of Alastor.

From then on, Nicole saw the silhouette of the person she held dear in her heart.

The more amazing Ethan became, the more she thought that her Mr. Ghost and Ethan were one and the same.

After gathering her courage, she decided to call the young man Mr. Ghost at one point in time. But Ethan only looked at her with confusion, which made Nicole wonder if she made another mistake.

Still, her instincts were telling her that she was not mistaken.

This was also why she had become closer to Ethan, even allowing him to treat her and remove the coldness inside her body.

And now, she and Ethan were going to return to where it all started and finally put closure to the knot in her heart, which she had kept for many years.

"You sure sound happy," Ethan commented as he flew beside Nicole on his Wind Dancer.

"That's because I feel happy," Nicole replied with a smile, making Ethan realize how truly beautiful she was whenever she smiled.

"And why are you happy?"

"Because I no longer need to raid a morgue to find a dead and handsome teenage boy?"

The corner of Ethan's lips twitch, which made the young lady giggle.

Seeing this side of Nicole was very fresh, which in turn made Ethan smile as well.

It was as if the young lady was reverting back to her childhood when she was together with Mr. Ghost, who changed her life for the better.

"I can't wait to see the look on Oscar's face when we arrive," Nicole smirked. "Since I didn't say that we are coming, they are gonna be surprised when we arrive."

"You didn't tell them?" Ethan arched an eyebrow.

"No," Nicole replied.

"Aren't you worried that he will disown you and kick you out of the family?" Ethan inquired.

The young lady glanced at Ethan and pointed at her face.

"Does this look like the face of someone who cares whether they'll be kicked out of that rotting family or not?" Nicole asked back.

"No, it doesn't."

"See? Also, who knows? I might change my surname soon to something else. I have a lot of admirers, and I can just pick any of them."

The young lady grinned fearlessly, making Ethan shake his head helplessly.

'Did you hear that, My Friend?' Sebastian asked in a teasing tone.

'I heard it, My Friend," Ethan's Other Half replied in an amused tone.

'I wonder what surname she will have in the future?'

'Oh dear, that sure is a very hard question. Could she possibly become a Langston?'

Ethan wanted to give the two annoying members of the peanut gallery a slap on their faces. Clearly, they were teasing Ethan, but the young man also understood that Nicole wasn't joking.

She was a very beautiful and popular Witch in the academy.

Simply put, she didn't have any lack of admirers, and those who wished to make her a part of their Wizarding Families numbered in the dozens.

Ethan knew that Sebastian and his Other Half were only telling him that if he didn't do anything, the young lady flying beside him would be taken by someone else.

Several hours later, just before sunset, the two decided to stop for the night.

They didn't need to look for any towns because the only thing they needed to look for was a tree, where Ethan could temporarily place his Portable Tree House, which served as their accommodation.

Their dinner was simply sandwiches because both of them were tired from flying all day. After dinner, Ethan looked at the young lady and decided to let her refresh herself first.

"You can take a bath first," Ethan said after he finished eating.

"Sounds lovely," Nicole replied. "But are you sure you don't want to join me?" A giggle then escaped her lips before she ran toward the staircase and headed to the Master Bedroom that

belonged to Ethan.

'She already gave you an invitation, so why not join her?' Sebastian asked.

'Could it be that you're thinking that it's a trap?' Ethan's Other Half chided.

'I'm sure that she was only half serious,' Ethan replied. 'Besides, if I join her now, I might not

be able to stop myself.'

Sebastian and Ethan's Other Half both clicked their tongues but didn't say anything else.

They knew that Ethan wanted to give Nicole a memorable experience, so he wanted to make it at least a bit romantic for her first time.

The young man waited for half an hour before he went upstairs to the Master Bedroom.

When he arrived, Nicole had just left the bathroom and only had a towel covering her body. She was busy wiping her hair, but the moment she saw Ethan, a smirk appeared on her face. "It's your loss," Nicole said in a teasing tone.

"I know," Ethan replied before going to the bathroom to wash away the dirt and exhaustion from their journey.

A sigh escaped his lips as the water cascaded down his body. He stood unmoving and simply allowed the water to fall over him.

Suddenly, he felt something soft press against his back and a pair of rough hands wrap around

his body.

Ethan stiffened for a brief moment before resting his hand over Nicole's, who had started to caress his chest and abs as if trying to make him lose control.

"You Witch," Ethan said while doing his best to keep his voice from cracking.

"I am indeed a Witch," Nicole replied. "And I am looking for my wand. Have you seen it?"

"No," Ethan answered.

"I see... but it doesn't matter," Nicole commented as her hand moved downward before firmly gripping something that made Ethan take a sharp breath.

Clearly, Nicole was trying to wake up the sleeping dragon who would definitely spew out fire

if provoked.

"I finally found my wand." Nicole stood on tiptoe, pressing her bare chest more firmly against Ethan's back as she whispered in his ear. "But maybe it's the wrong wand. It is bigger and thicker than the wand I normally use. But since I can't find it, I should at least test to see if this one works. What do you think?"

"I think you need to get punished," Ethan said hoarsely.

If things continued this way, he might have no choice but to use the wand that Nicole was

gripping to teach the young lady that she shouldn't play with fire unless she wanted to get

burned.

Nicole found Ethan's reply about punishing her endearing.

She then kissed the back of Ethan's neck, leaving a mark that made the young man almost turn

around and pin her on the wall.

Despite the cold water washing over them, things were starting to heat up, which made Little Ethan stand up straight as if he was about to go to a war he definitely wouldn't lose.
