Chapter 94 : Obsession
Chapter 94 : Obsession
It's been a month already.
The battle against the 5 demons went smoothly, although I ended up with some wounds on my body, after all, I'm still in the silver rank. Lysandra came out without a scratch, her dress was wet, and therefore, her curves were highlighted much better... but that's a topic for another day. We collected the orbs, the 7 orbs, and I stored them in my ring to distribute later with Lysandra.
We rested for a while, replenishing energies, but it was more for me, since I was the one who got tired the most. We spent a few hours until we decided it was time to leave this place.
That's how the rest of the two weeks passed, we encountered demons and killed them. It was simple and the days went by like that. Needless to say, our relationship progressed by leaps and bounds. Each battle was a demonstration of mutual trust between the two of us, generating even more confidence between us.
Walking with Lysandra by my side, I look at my experience window, which I gained throughout this month.
[100,000/160,000]
I nod. It was undoubtedly a great progress, but all this wouldn't have been possible without Lysandra's help.
We are heading towards zone 3. My mission in this place has already been fulfilled, but I will not return alone. I look at Lysandra warmly.
We pass through the dark tunnel that is the entrance to zone 3. We've been walking for a couple of hours already, but it's still as dark as ever. Nevertheless, at the end of the tunnel, the same point of light can be distinguished.

Upon reaching the border of zone 2, the familiar landscape welcomes us. The majestic waterfall, with its clear and serene waters, remains an impressive sight. From the top of the waterfall to the bottom of the river, life thrives everywhere, with fish swimming calmly in the clear waters.
The sun finally breaks through the clouds, spreading its warm rays over us. The comforting sensation of the sun caressing our tired skin is a reminder of the beauty and hope that still exist in this world. We stop for a moment to appreciate the view and let the sun fill us with renewed energy.
Although we left zone 3 with all its difficulties behind, arriving at the border of zone 2 brings us a sense of relief.
"This place is the most beautiful thing I've seen so far," she comments casually with her eyes sparkling.
I smile ironically. Although the daytime landscape offers us beauty and warmth, the arrival of the night transforms this place into something completely different. When the sun sets and darkness takes over the landscape, the atmosphere changes drastically.
The crystal-clear waters of the waterfall seem to acquire a redder and murkier tone. The sounds of life slowly fade away, replaced by an unsettling silence that seems to envelop everything. Nature itself seems to hold its breath, as if waiting for something unknown and dreadful.
In the darkness of the night, the forest surrounding the waterfall takes on an ominous atmosphere. Shadows lengthen and twist among the trees, creating shapes that play with our imagination and awaken our deepest fears. Every noise seems more threatening, every whisper of the wind makes us feel more vulnerable.
It's an endless cycle, as you rightly point out, a dance between light and darkness that defines the very nature of this place. But despite the challenges that the night may bring, we move forward with the hope of finding safety and comfort in the dawn that always follows the darkness.

The fog enveloped the forest like a mysterious cloak, adding an air of intrigue and danger to our surroundings. Despite the dense fog, we could glimpse the height of the trees towering majestically above us, creating a dark and mysterious canopy that barely let the sunlight through.
For Lysandra, this forest was like her own playground. With impressive skill and dexterity, she dispatched the beasts that dared to confront us with astonishing ease. Every movement of hers was precise and lethal, and the creatures fell at her feet without even having the chance to counterattack.
It was a scene both imposing and terrifying, for Lysandra's strength and power were evident in every blow she struck. I just rolled my eyes with an uncomfortable smile, while she smiled from ear to ear as she looked at me, sighing inwardly, I shake my head.

The forest stretched out before us like a vast ocean of darkness and melancholy. The monotony of the gray and gloomy trees extended as far as the eye could see, creating an oppressive and depressing atmosphere. Every corner of the forest seemed to be imbued with a palpable sadness, as if the weight of desolation and despair hung in the air.
Despite the oppressive atmosphere that enveloped the place, the curious and hungry eyes of the creatures lurked among the undergrowth, watching us with a mixture of curiosity and hostility. The sensation of being watched by thousands of eyes was unsettling, but Lysandra seemed unfazed by the presence of these creatures.
Zone 1 remained the same as always, the creatures of this place were mere flies to her.

The sunset could be seen on the horizon, an orange sky was visible everywhere, in the same way adventurers could be seen entering the same but...
"Hey! Look at that girl, she's very beautiful!" says a young adventurer.
"Brother, she's the prettiest girl I've ever seen in my life," said the other next to him.
"I think I'm in love!" another adventurer commented with shining eyes.
Anger bubbled inside me as I listened to the adventurers' comments about Lysandra. My instinct kicked in immediately, and a feeling of possession took hold of me as I watched them admire her beauty. My gaze became sharp and extremely cold as a group of adventurers approached us.
"Hello, beautiful, how about joining us for a while?" said a tall man with a confident smile, looking at Lysandra with lustful eyes. The guys behind him started chuckling, looking at Lysandra in the same way.
Bang!
A blow echoed throughout the place, my fist went straight to his face. I couldn't bear such an insult to what is mine. The man fell to the ground with blank eyes, his jaw broken. My cold eyes scanned the other young men in the group.
Lysandra remained silent, but her eyes looked at the man with great disgust. The others felt their complexion turn very pale. My gaze remained as cold as ever as I watched them attentively. Walking slowly towards them, I clenched my fists tightly. "Let's have some fun for a while."
For a few minutes, painful groans and cries could be heard from the guys. They were writhing in pain on the ground. Most of their bodies were bruised. People passing by decided to stay and watch the show. Even some who had thoughts of approaching Lysandra shook their heads in fear. My fists were stained with blood.
For a moment, I thought about simply killing them, but I had to control myself. There are many eyes around, and I don't want to get into trouble right now because of these scumbags.
My heart pounded as I watched the men on the ground, writhing in pain. The crowd that had gathered to watch the scene was silent. Some murmured among themselves, others simply watched in disbelief at what they had just witnessed. My mind was in a whirlwind of emotions, but I forced myself to maintain my composure. If Lysandra had made a move, without a doubt, everyone would be dead.
I could see that her eyes, for a few moments, flashed with murderous intent.
"Lysandra, let's go," I said firmly, extending my hand towards her. She nodded silently, and I could see that her cheeks were slightly flushed. Without saying another word, we walked away from the scene, leaving behind the defeated men and the astonished crowd.
Damn it, I had never felt so disgusted before. My mood worsened significantly. The feeling of other eyes seeing my wife like that was not pleasant at all. With a deep frown on my face, I clicked my tongue in disgust. If there hadn't been people around, I would have killed them...
Feeling a hug from behind, her delicate arms wrapped around my neck. I could feel Lysandra's fragrance brushing against my nose, feeling the warmth of her body. My heart was beating rapidly due to anger, but it began to calm down slowly.
"You look even more handsome when you're angry, especially if it's because of me," she said directly into my ear, the warmth of her breath brushing against it, sending a shiver down my spine. "I don't like it when others look at you," I said, pursing my lips.
She let out a small laugh, hugging me even tighter. "I don't like it either," her voice, once warm, turned extremely cold. His aura began to emerge from her body, her eyes started to gleam with a great murderous intent. I had almost forgotten, she had that kind of personality, but since most of the time she showed her warm and loving personality, I had forgotten about this part.
Although she released her aura, it didn't affect me at all. Gripping her hands tightly, I maneuvered and placed her in front of me. Her eyes looked into mine with surprise, and my eyes began to gleam in the same way as hers. An instinct emerged from the depths of my being.
"Don't worry, darling, you're only mine, no one else will be able to see you the way I do, and if someone does, I'll gouge their eyes out." A terrifying smile spread across my face, my voice filled with an obsession that surpassed the norm.
She quickly suppressed her aura, and her eyes widened with surprise, a red hue adorned her beautiful face. My hands grabbed her thin waist tightly, pulling her even closer to my body. Our lips were much closer now, I could feel her breath and her fragrance very close. My senses were activated, and my blood began to flow throughout my body.
My senses were completely clouded, my eyes, just like hers, were filled with desire, bringing our lips even
