Villain's Valor: A Noble Fantasy Resurrection

Chapter 131 : You don't belong here

Chapter 131 : You don't belong here

Upon opening my eyes, I found myself submerged in the vast ocean of my soul, observing my surroundings with a mind clouded by initial confusion. After a brief period, I managed to regain some clarity and directed my attention to the tree that stood majestically before me, now even more impressive in size than before.

However, a sense of unease overcame me as I realized that the little fairy, my faithful companion throughout the process, was nowhere to be seen. Could she be resting inside the tree? I wondered, recalling how she had aided me throughout the awakening process of Elsa's lineage.

My eyes landed again on the tree, its branches reaching towards the dark sky with indescribable majesty. It was still adorned with mysterious black apples that gleamed with a faint yet captivating glow. Cautiously, I approached the tree, feeling the vibrant and magical presence emanating from its trunk.

As I scanned every corner of the imposing tree in search of the little fairy, I noticed that there was no visible hole or entrance in the trunk that could house her. Confusion began to creep over me, wondering if fairies really lived inside trees as it was said in stories and legends.

Suddenly, as if a soft whisper called me, I turned my head slightly and felt as if my soul was about to leave my body. My eyes landed on a pair of small, bright orbs that looked at me with curiosity. There she was, the little fairy, sitting quietly on my shoulder as she gracefully moved her legs.

"Naida, you startled me," I said to her sincerely, still feeling surprised to find her so close to me. I had truly worried that she wouldn't be in the tree. The little one responded with a mischievous giggle, showing that her surprise appearance had been more for fun than anything else.

Without saying a word, Naida flew agilely and grabbed two apples with her delicate hands. She returned and sat back on my shoulder, offering me one of the apples with a bright smile on her face. I accepted the fruit gratefully, while she began to devour hers with evident enjoyment.

As we exited the tree, a sense of unease came over us as the ground began to shake violently. The darkness that surrounded us seemed to crack like a thin layer breaking, and large pieces of crystals descended from the sky, threatening to fall upon us at any moment.

Looking up, instead of finding the familiar eyes we expected, we were met with a terrifying sight: darkness itself came to life and moved upward, darkening the sky with its ominous presence. A thunderous roar shook the place, and from the shadows emerged a huge claw followed by another, accompanied by the imposing body of a dragon.

This dragon was both an impressive and terrifying sight. Its scales, of a deep black, gleamed with a light that emanated from the darkness enveloping it. On its back unfolded eight majestic wings, spreading with an impressive span and highlighting its aura of indomitable power. Its huge eyes, sparkling with a malevolent glow, landed directly on me and the little fairy accompanying me.

"Finally, boy, you have reached the gold rank," the dragon's voice resonated with a tone that enveloped a mixture of pride and challenge. Its imposing presence and words filled the air with an intensity palpable over the entire place.

As I looked at the imposing black dragon standing before me, the first impression was overwhelming: it seemed so large that I, in comparison, felt like a tiny ant in front of it. A smile spread across its face, as if it were enjoying the surprise it provoked in those who saw it for the first time.

"Ah, yes, I took my time, as you can see," I replied to the dragon, revealing with calmness. The little fairy on my shoulder, upon seeing the dragon, glowed with excitement and began to fly towards him. After a few moments of observation, she proudly perched on his nose, puffing out her chest with a gesture of extreme satisfaction and pride.

The scene was surreal: the little fairy, with her tiny size, defying the gigantic dragon with a brave and confident attitude.

The dragon initially ignored the presence of the little fairy on his enormous nose and stared at me intently, as if trying to read my thoughts. After a few minutes of tense silence, I finally gathered the courage to address the issue that had been weighing on my mind.

"You should know that I am not from this world, right?" I said to him with a mixture of nervousness. Although I had already had my suspicions, I was still not completely sure of the truth behind my origin and how I had come to this strange place.

The dragon, with a serene expression, responded as he settled and sat down gracefully, as if he were willing to listen to my confession. "I know you belong to another plane of existence, I brought you myself," he said calmly, confirming my suspicions.

With the confirmation that he indeed knew that I did not belong to this world, my mind plunged into a whirlwind of memories and emotions. "Why?" I asked hesitantly, feeling that this question was the most important for me at this moment, even though he already told me that I would not be a pawn on a chessboard, he did not tell me the reasons.

The dragon sighed, as if recalling a painful and distant past. "We had no other choice," he began, his words heavy with sorrow and resignation. "We were desperate, we lost the war, but we managed to hurt them deeply that they had to sleep for countless years. Then, according to our seer, thousands of years in the future they will wake up again.

But before that, we sealed this part of the continent with our lives."

The revelation left me breathless. The dragon, along with other beings, had sealed this small part of the continent. "So, that means you know what lies behind the seal," I murmured, amazed by the sudden understanding that opened before me. But then, a new idea formed in my mind, an idea that shook my foundations even more deeply. "No, wait...

that means you do not belong to this part of the continent," I expressed aloud, as my mind tried to assimilate all the information I had received.
