Villain's Valor: A Noble Fantasy Resurrection

Chapter 104 : Naida

Chapter 104 : Naida

With a mixture of fascination and nervousness, I awaited eagerly to witness the outcome of this unusual situation. Observing the fairy, I noticed there was no trace of fear in her gaze as she faced the pair of eyes watching her intently. Her tiny eyes gleamed with genuine curiosity, reflecting the intrigue she felt in the presence of the mysterious being observing her from the shadows.

Amidst the profound darkness surrounding us, the fairy seemed to shake off her initial daze. With agile movements, she spread her tiny wings and soared into the air, determinedly flying towards the pair of eyes watching her in silence. Her flight was elegant and light, and I could feel the aura of determination radiating from her as she drew closer to her target.

After a brief moment of flight, the fairy gracefully approached the eyes of the mysterious being, whose voice echoed throughout the area with a tone of palpable astonishment and recognition.

"Boy, what an extraordinary being you've acquired! A fairy with a superior affinity to darkness," exclaimed the mysterious being, its large eyes fixated on the fairy with a mix of admiration and surprise. "I haven't had the pleasure of seeing this type of fairy in thousands of years. The last time I encountered one was when I spoke with her ancestors in ancient times."

"I found her in a shop," I replied simply, as I watched the fairy begin to move her tiny hands, creating a dark glow that gradually took shape in the air, performing the same communication as moments before.

After moments of anticipation, the fairy ceased her flight and directed her gaze towards the imposing dragon with her sparkling eyes. The dragon, in turn, briefly glanced at the fairy before focusing its attention on the inscriptions she had created in the air.

"I see, so your name is Naida Nightfall," murmured the dragon solemnly as it contemplated the floating words. The fairy nodded her tiny head, and with a graceful movement of her hands, she made the previous inscriptions disappear in the air, only to create new words with her delicate gestures.

At that moment, I felt as if my presence had been completely overlooked. I rolled my eyes with a mix of frustration and resignation. I knew it was my fault; after all, I didn't understand the language of fairies, so I couldn't do much more than simply observe in silence.

Naida, with her tiny wings fluttering with excitement, stopped flying and fixed her bright eyes on the imposing dragon. The mythical creature, with its piercing gaze, calmly contemplated the new inscriptions made by the fairy.

Then, with a hint of amusement in its deep voice, the dragon broke the silence with an unexpected question: "Do you wish to know my name?" The fairy responded with a nod, radiating joy and anticipation with each movement. At that moment, I realized I had never considered asking the dragon its name before.

Although I initially thought it unnecessary, curiosity overwhelmed me completely, and I immersed myself fully in the words that would follow.

The dragon, with its imposing presence, seemed surrounded by a majestic aura as it prepared to reveal its name.

"My name is [unintelligible]," Its voice resonated in the air, full of power and authority, as it pronounced each syllable, the atmosphere became charged with magical energy enveloping the entire place, the darkness became even thicker and oppressive, moving in all directions as if trying to escape the place.

However, just at the climactic moment of its presentation, a strange buzzing distorted the sound, creating a sensation of mystery and intrigue in the air.

Naida, the fairy, watched the dragon intently with her bright black eyes, filled with curiosity and excitement. Her tiny fists clenched with enthusiasm as she bounced in the air, eager to know the dragon's name. The light reflected on her black wings created bright flashes that filled the place with a magical glow.

My face reflected overwhelming confusion, unable to fully comprehend the situation. My ears seemed to have failed to catch the name the dragon had spoken. With a gesture of bewilderment, I asked, "Can you repeat your name?"

Both beings' gazes turned to me, radiating a sense of expectation. The dragon, with a spark of amusement in its eyes, anticipated my response and affirmed, "I suppose you failed to understand it, didn't you?" I nodded, acknowledging my confusion. "It's quite simple," it continued seriously. "What I said was my true name.

But as a low-level being, you would find it impossible to comprehend it in its entirety."

The concept of a true name echoed in my mind, evoking a sense of mystery. I knew a true name was not just a label but an essential part of the soul that granted unique abilities and deepened the connection with your soul to a higher level.

A flash of understanding illuminated my mind as I processed the revelation. Looking at the fairy with wide-open eyes, my words came out haltingly: "So, if the fairy could understand you, that means she also has a true name..."

The dragon nodded calmly, confirming my deduction. The fairy, by its side, let out a silent giggle as she gracefully flew in the air.

A sharp pain pulsed in my brain at the surprise. The idea that the fairy also possessed a true name was an overwhelming revelation. I had never considered the possibility of such a thing being real. Observing the tree that had formed in my soul, I formulated a question: "What does this tree represent?"

The dragon replied solemnly: "In addition to being the manifestation of the fairy's power, this tree is the ability she possesses thanks to her true name. It's an extraordinary phenomenon; to create life within the soul of a being is an impressive gift." It turned its gaze back to the fairy.

"This little one is truly powerful, but like you, her contractor, her strength is also limited." After a few moments, the fairy descended and approached the tree, fluttering around it before disappearing among the branches and leaves.

"Furthermore, the fruits that grow on the tree can help strengthen your muscles and further temper your body. They also contribute to expanding the size of your soul and your mana orb. However, you must remember that those fruits belong to the fairy, so you need to ask for her permission before taking any," the dragon explained.

A flash of greed crossed my eyes as I imagined the benefits those fruits could provide. But before I could act, the dragon added seriously, "Don't you dare take one without her permission. If you do, you could break the contract with her."

His words made me stop in my tracks. I had no intention of taking one without permission; I just wanted to examine them up close. The idea that those apples could enhance my abilities fleetingly crossed my mind, but I didn't want to risk the fairy breaking our contract.

The fairy emerged from her tree, glanced in my direction, and approached me with a small smile on her face. She had her tiny arms behind her, and as she came closer, I noticed she was hiding something behind them. With a bright smile on her face, she revealed a small black apple emitting a glow. The apple was about the size of a golf ball.

With a bright smile, I kindly accepted the apple. Although it was very small, I felt it contained a significant amount of mana. Naida began to move her arms towards her mouth, encouraging me to eat it.

"She's so adorable," I thought to myself.
