Chapter 219 Drawing

Chapter 219 Drawing

Qin Hao arrived at Du Wanrou's place.

She was cooking in the kitchen, a faint scent of food wafting through.

He curiously walked into the kitchen, "Wow, I didn't expect you to be good at cooking."

"It's quite normal, actually. My mom taught me when I was in junior high," said Du Wanrou as she continued cooking.

After she finished speaking, she added, "You go wait outside, it'll be ready soon."

Qin Hao went outside and turned on the television.

The TV was broadcasting the noon news.

"The Federation has announced a tariff list on China involving over a thousand products valued at fifty billion, affecting hundreds of high-tech companies."

The tariff list targeted many high-tech companies in Xuan Country, aiming to curb the development of Xuan high-tech products.

"Government forces and rebels in Saiya Country clashed again, resulting in casualties on both sides exceeding twenty people."

"The European Union has approved retaliatory tariffs on Federation goods."

"Alright, let's eat," said Du Wanrou, bringing the food out from the kitchen.

Qin Hao stood up and smiled, "Let me taste the culinary skills of my girl."

The food Du Wanrou made was fine, not particularly delicious but passable, and Qin Hao ate a lot.

After the meal, Qin Hao offered to wash the dishes, but Du Wanrou beat him to it.

Having such a beautiful and virtuous girlfriend made Qin Hao very pleased.

Once Du Wanrou finished washing the dishes, Qin Hao eagerly said, "Let's go rest this afternoon."

"Naughty, what if my aunt comes back?" Du Wanrou half-heartedly resisted.

"It's fine, she won't come back during working hours," he reassured.

After he spoke, he picked up Du Wanrou and headed to the bedroom.

Meanwhile, He Tingting received the system and headed straight back to school to experiment on her own computer.

However, she realized she didn't have login permissions!

She called Qin Hao, but no one answered.

By late afternoon, around four, Qin Hao left Du Wanrou's place and saw the missed calls on his phone.

He got into the car and said to Li Yang, "Back to school."

Then he returned He Tingting's call, by which time she was collaborating with several professors from the Computer College to crack the system's login issue.

But after an entire afternoon, they had made no progress.

Several professors from the computer science department couldn't crack a regular office system—if that got out, it would be quite embarrassing.

"Mr. He, where did you get this system? It's so tough to handle?"

"We can't find any flaws, and brute-forcing it got us nowhere," said the professors.

Just as they were at a loss, He Tingting's phone rang. She quickly answered it, her expression brightening, "Hello, where have you been all afternoon?"

"It's not class time. Do I have to report everything I do to you?" Qin Hao replied, somewhat speechlessly.

He Tingting was indeed beautiful, but her personality left much to be desired.

Compared to his own girl, she was lacking by far.

He Tingting had a sharp tongue but a soft heart, somewhat willful and occasionally sulky.

Hearing Qin Hao's words, she felt annoyed. Was this how you spoke to a teacher?

However, considering she needed his help, He Tingting held back, "What's up with your system? Why don't I have login permissions?"

She didn't mention the cracking attempt because, after an afternoon without success, it was an embarrassment best kept among fewer people.

"You're not an employee of my company, of course, you wouldn't have access. I'll sort it out when I get back," he replied.

"When will you be back?" she inquired.

Qin Hao replied, "Soon, very soon."

After hanging up, he rubbed his temples.

...

"Mr. He, whose call was that, the system's development team? Which team is so capable?" an elderly professor inquired.

The others also looked curiously at He Tingting.

He Tingting hesitated before answering, "The system belongs to a company's office system; it wasn't developed by a team but by a single person."

"A single person developed it?" The computer science professors were somewhat incredulous.

He Tingting nodded, "And it's a student from our college."

Old Professor: "A student from our college? Fourth-year student? I didn't know we had such a talent."

...

He Tingting: "Not a fourth-year, a first-year freshman."

"A freshman?" Some were puzzled.

Then one seemed to realize something, "You're not talking about Qin Hao, are you?"

"Mr. Wang, how did you know it was him?" He Tingting was quite surprised.

Mr. Wang: "He Tingting, do you really think scoring full marks in the unified exam is that simple? Missing by one mark is vastly different, not to mention several dozen marks. It's not an exaggeration."

Another added, "Mr. Wang is right. Even if we took the unified exam now, we wouldn't be confident of scoring full marks. He is a rare genius."

He Tingting: "Mr. Wang, aren't you exaggerating a bit?"

"He Tingting, I once had the privilege of meeting a genius who was the top scorer of the unified exam in a certain province in a certain year, and now works at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He had never dealt with engines before, but after reading about them twice, he understood the principles and could even propose the correct research directions," Mr. Wang explained.

Such talents were rare, and though there were many high scorers in the unified exam, they often faded into obscurity in university.

About twenty minutes later, Li Yang drove up to the entrance of Jianghai University.

Qin Hao got out of the car and walked into the school.

Once back in his dormitory, he quickly set up permissions for He Tingting on his computer.

After setting up the permissions, he informed He Tingting, eager to avoid her nagging.

Just after he had finished, Zhao De walked in, "Second brother, do you guys know how to paint?"

Chen Ping shook his head, and Qin Hao curiously asked, "What are you planning to do?"

Zhao De appeared somewhat embarrassed, "Second brother, Xu Lu's dad is a painter, and I want to date her, so today I met her dad. To impress him, I boasted that I could paint. Unexpectedly, he set me a task to paint a landscape painting for him. If he's satisfied, he'll agree to our relationship."

...

Qin Hao was somewhat speechless; this was the first time he'd heard of such a thing.

Zhao De: "Second brother, can you paint?"

"A bit!"

Zhao De hastily said, "Then could you paint one for me?"
