“If you’re not coming in, then I’m closing the door.”
As she said this, she moved to close the door, the light inside almost extinguished. Ye Junqing clenched his fist and stepped into the rain, as if intending to leave this place, to go back to the airplane.
Ye Xingguang’s heart skipped a beat, she wanted to chase after him, but the cold rain hit her face, scaring her back under the eaves. She yelled at the man who had stepped into the rain, “Ye Junqing, come back!”
Ye Xingguang was desperate, she turned to Fu Zhuo, “Fu Zhuo, hurry and bring Ye Junqing back.”
“Oh, my god!”
Fu Zhuo saw Ye Junqing stride into the rain and immediately ran after him. When Ye Junqing reached the gate, Fu Zhuo grabbed him, imploring, “Junqing, what are you doing? If there is a step below you, step down. Why are you making things more difficult?”
And so, Ye Junqing was annoyed with anything Fu Zhuo did, even his attempts to reason with him. Who was making things difficult now?
Anger boiled within him with nowhere to go!
Was he just a dog, to be so addicted to her?
Cuckolded, kicked out, and yet when she called, he obediently entered, like a stray dog having no place to go, begging at her feet for mercy!
Standing outside in the cold wind, his heart was chilled thoroughly. All the past memories danced in his mind. Perhaps it was best for them to forget each other in the crowd. What about the past sunshine? It was just the beginning. They were doomed to be connected but not fated, why should they make things difficult for each other?
Ye Junqing pushed away Fu Zhuo, who had blocked his path, and walked away. He didn’t want to enter that door again. His head was burning, maybe only the cold rain could cool him down. As a man, he should be generous, not unlike once before, he wished them well.
Ye Xingguang put on rain boots and a raincoat, grabbed an umbrella, and chased after Ye Junqing on the wet, slippery cobblestone downhill path.
In the violent storm, she roared, “Where are you going in this heavy rain?”
Ye Junqing ignored her, his entire body wet in the wind and rain. He kept his face cold and continued to stride towards the airport.
Ye Xingguang tried to grab his arm, but Ye Junqing lifted his arm, avoiding her touch.
Ye Xingguang was infuriated and saddened. She kept chasing after him down the cobblestone hill. The heavy rain made the ground especially slippery, and she fell down hard. It was so painful that tears rolled down her cheeks. But the man just continued walking forward, without even turning back to glance at her.
Ye Xingguang couldn’t hold back her feelings anymore. She sat down on the ground, burst into tears.
Fu Zhuo, who was chasing after Ye Junqing, turned and saw her fall, “Junqing, Ye Xingguang has fallen.”
Ye Junqing, who was striding forward, stopped. His frozen body turned sharply, and he saw Ye Xingguang sitting on the ground, crying loudly.
A sudden pang of anxiety pierced Ye Junqing’s heart, he turned and rushed over to her, kneeling down to help her, “Where are you hurt?”
“None of your business, you bastard,” Ye Xingguang pushed away Ye Junqing’ s hand, tears mingling with the rain on her face. She picked up the umbrella lying next to her, hobbling back the way she came.
Seeing her hobbling walk, a throbbing pain flashed through Ye Junqing’s temples. He chased after her, reaching out to grab her slender arm, and scoop her up in his arms. Ye Xingguang lifted her hand, forbidding him to touch her. She cried out, yelling, “Don’t touch me, weren’t you leaving? Go! Go!”
