Chapter 121 Boss Fight
Chapter 121 Boss Fight
Crash! Bang! Crash!
Blast!
More crashes and more blasts. Then after all of that, silence. Dust filled the entire air, rocks cracked and fell as small stones and pebbles.
There were groans coming from all sides. Aeric's voice, being deeper, had the loudest groan, he pushed himself up with some difficulty as dust and debris rained down.
He looked to his right and saw Celestia struggling to rise, her movements sluggish. Aeric stumbled to her and helped her up.
"Arhh," Phoebe moaned, petting her knee as she healed herself. When Aeric looked at her to see if she was alright, she said; "It was only a torn skin, Master Aeric. I'm fine."
"Get up, all of you," Nyx said, picking herself up from her knees. "The terror is already planning another attack."

They began to find their feet one by one, peering through the dust and shadow. Aeric made out the form of the Abyssal Terror, seeing its tail wailing around.
"Phoebe, is there still some Divinity in this Lobby that you can tap into to give all of us a buff?" Aeric asked her.
Phoebe frowned thoughtfully. "I doubt it. I was barely able to reinforce Celestia's shield."
"That wasn't your fault," Nyx said. "The Terror was just too powerful." Her eyes suddenly flashed, seeing the beast jump forward with a clawed arm stretched out.
"Harbinger Hawk! [Rise]!" she summoned her new shadow beast.
Shadow stretched from the ground below and a hawk's piercing cry filled the Lobby as the shadows formed the Harbinger Hawk which they had killed some Lobbies ago.
The shadow beast quickly lunged for the Abyssal Terror's throat. However, the creature twisted, causing the Hawk to turn around and chase after it.
It pierced its talons into the Terror's neck and dragged. This caused the beast to wail in rage.
The shadow hawk remained in action, keeping itself glued on the Terror's back, even deeping its talons into the spines. The beast roared, twisting violently to shake it off.
It was eventually successful as with a swift bend of its body, the shadow hawk flew off the Terror's back and crashed hard against the wall.
Before it could recuperate, the Terror attacked again, swiping its arm as its claws splashed through the summoned shadow beast like it was paper. The beast disintegrated into tendrils of smoke.
"My shadow beasts aren't enough," Nyx hissed, summoning another, larger one. This time, it managed to bite down on the Terror's shoulder, slowing it just enough for the team to fully arrange themselves.
But the Abyssal Terror wasn't going down. Its claws glowed with an ominous blue light, and with a single swipe, it caught Nyx's tiger-looking beast and almost choke slammed it to the ground, shattering its back and disintegrating it into nothingness.
"Celestia, use [Light Stun]!" Aeric ordered. But before the Dawn princess could activate the Skill, the Terror opened its jaws and let out a ferocious, powerful roar.
This roar sent them flying once more, shattering the formation that they had tried to rebuild.
"Ahhhhhhhhhh!" their yells rang as they flew through the air.
Celestia hit the ground harder, her light powers that she was trying to summon, flickering out from her as she gasped for breath. Aeric rolled to his feet, blood dripping from a cut on his forehead.
Nyx groaned, forcing herself up as her new shadow beast dissipated again.
The beast roared, pouncing toward them.
Aeric yelled, "Regroup! Regroup now!"
"Shadow Cage!" Nyx yelled, stretching both arms. Suddenly, the Skill activated and a black cage oozing shadow energy formed around the Terror, ensnaring it.
"That would buy us some time," she said, looking at Aeric who was intrigued by the Skill but glanced at her to give a soft nod.
"Ow. Maybe we should have given up when we had the chance," Phoebe said as Misty helped her to her feet. "That beast is super annoying, and it's super strong too."
"And this is it at only half its strength," Aeric thought, glancing at the angry ensnared monster. "If we can't slay it when it's half its strength then I don't think we'll ever be able to slay one."
"At least it's caged now," Celestia chimed in. "That would give us some time to come up with a plan as it—"
Blast! The cage shattered with a burst of dark Divinity and the Abyssal Terror was free once more, roaring loud as its tail danced ferociously.
"Not that much of a time it seems," Nyx mumbled, clenching her grip on her halberd as she narrowed her eyes on the beast.
She fired a volley of shadow bolts, but the monster's armor absorbed the hits, its glowing runes flashing brighter with each impact.
Phoebe knelt, her hands shaking as she closed her eyes and entered the Divine realm where she had access to everyone's core. She quickly found Aeric's.
Earlier, she had seen that Aeric's Divine Core shone brighter than the rest of them. Like much more brighter. She had been curious about this and knew the only explanation was that Aeric, like many other smart Players in the Realm, was hiding his true power.
Phoebe went ahead with her plan. She placed her palm around Aeric's Divine Core, feeling its warmth in her skin, and then she activated [Buff Apex]
This instantly pumped the last of her reserved Divinity from the surroundings into Aeric.
The Starlight Prince felt the rush of Divinity into him, although he didn't necessarily need it, and all she had done was to almost cause another Divinity Overflow.
He turned to her. "I don't have much left. Make it count!" she said.
"What?" Aeric looked confused. "Then why give it to me? Why not Nyx?"
Phoebe gave him a knowing look which horrified Aeric. 'Does she know?'
"Look out!" Celestia yelled, diving for him and pushing him out of the way of an incoming tail swipe.
The tail struck the walls of the cave, shattering it, sending rocks flying. The Abyssal Terror wasn't giving them a chance. It slammed its claws into the ground, sending a shockwave that cracked the stone and knocked everyone off their feet again.
Celestia, already on her knees, was flown far away from Aeric and crashed against a hard wall.
But once she turned, her eyes widened as she saw the terrifyingly large and deadly beast charging straight for her. Its claws gleamed, poised to strike.
Her eyes widened in terror. "No... no!"
