Chapter 2707 Retaliatory Attack

Rui studied the brand-new Martial Squire with keen interest. He wanted to gauge how the brand-new Squire felt to his senses and get some data on the correlation between the time spent in the procedure and the resulting Martial Body.

After all, the normal Squire Evolution process took three continuous weeks to complete.

Naturally, even with the Blood of Solaris, Rui most certainly didn't have the stamina to keep his Realms of power active for three weeks continuously.

Thus, he attempted to partially accelerate the procedure to make up for the time disparity. With his cognition, he could perceive phenomena in extremely low timeframes and could administer processes with exponentially better timing than the Apotheosis Chamber used for the Squire Evolution process.

Still, even with that, he was quite short of compensating for three weeks despite that. Thus, the Martial Body of the brand-new Squire before him was still weaker than the Martial Bodies of the Kandrian Empire.

"I will have to figure out how to compensate for the shortcomings of this in the future." It wasn't really a priority at the moment.

Or ever, really.

He had better things to do than to break Martial Apprentices through all day. Additionally, while his Martial Body was inferior to the current Kandrian standard, it was on par with those of lesser nations who couldn't afford to go all-in with the Squire Evolution process due to the disparity in resources and technology. Thus, this result was fine when looking at the Panama Continent as a whole. "Acclimatization will take you quite some time," Rui informed him. "But you will gain the power of a higher Realm when you have mastered this new body of yours. With an additional surplus of Martial Apprentices, this village should be able to hold out. I will leave the secret to the Senior Realm here so that you can learn about it after you have mastered your current Body."

"Thank you... Your Highness..." the Martial Squire muttered before losing consciousness.

He definitely needed some deep rest, without a doubt, considering the traumatic experience he had gone through.

"Well, our job here is done." Rui got up from the rock, turning to the village head. "I'm afraid I must depart soon. Rest assured, I will kill any strong monsters within a thousand-kilometer radius."

"Thank you, Your Highness. Thank you!" the old man old most broke down with relief. "We will never forget this debt ever!"

It wasn't too long before Rui completed what he needed to do before he departed from the village with Amare.

"I hope nothing happens to them when we're gone..." her tone was anxious. "These poor villagers have gone through so much."

"I have given them the power they will need to survive," Rui remarked. "It is up to them to fight hard and wring their survival from the jaws of defeat. Thankfully, they

shouldn't run into anything beyond Squire-level."

Apprentice-level beasts and monsters constituted a majority of the Beast Incursion, and this place was one of the pockets that only experienced Apprentice-level monsters and beasts. Thus, with a Martial Squire, they should have been able to survive for longer as long as the bigger nations not too far away from the little village didn't fall either.

"Thankfully, I have been taking care of that as well."

In the past two years, the eastern and southern parts of the Panama Continent had grown much more secure and solid against the Beast Incursion.

This was thanks to Rui, for the most part.

His breakthroughs led to an increase in the number of Masters while those very Masters became experts at taking down beasts and monsters.

This halted the rate of progress of the Beast Incursion to zero on average across half of the Panama Continent over the span of two years or so.

Thus, the best that Rui could do to help small villages like the one that they had just visited was to bolster the Upper Realm nations of the Panama Continent.

As long as these nations were alive and continued to resist, they would draw away stronger beasts from the weaker villages, who would be able to breathe a sigh of relief.

It was unfortunate that there was very little he could do otherwise.

"We can only do what we can."

Amare's gentle voice reached him.

Rui smiled softly. "I suppose."

Thus, the two of them continued on in their journey across the Panama Continent as they traveled through the beast-ridden human domain to their next destination.

The Virodhabhasa Theocracy.

The closer they got, the more nervous Rui got.

He truly didn't look forward to meeting this nation at all. He would rather revisit the Solaris Kingdom than visit the Virodhabhasa Theocracy.

If not for his political protection, Rui would have been much more torn with his decision to visit this nation.

Of course, the Nest of Terra had proven that his political protection was not absolute. There was no telling whether or not an extremist nation like the Virodhabhasa Theocracy was willing to respect the deterrence of the entire world if a more reasonable nation like the Nest of Terra didn't.

On top of that, the crazies of the Virodhabhasa Theocracy wouldn't want to kill him in the first place. Thus, they might have gotten the impression that they, too, could get away with simply capturing him.

Clearly, his father was worried about the same thing.

And so, unbeknownst to Rui, something rather shocking happened while Rui was on

his way to the Virodhabhasa Theocracy.

The Kandrian Empire attacked the Nest of Terra with numerous Sages.

A head-on frontal assault.

One that was not only not hidden but also actively spread and broadcast across the entire world with the combined efforts of the Emperor of Harmony and the Beggar

Sage.

The message was clear:

An attack on the prince of Kandria was an attack on the Kandrian Empire.

An attack on the Kandrian Empire would not be tolerated.

An attack on the Kandrian Empire would be met with a proportional response.

And thus, the Kandrian Empire attacked the Nest of Terra.
