Chapter 789  This Virus Is Very Infectious [Part 2]

Thirteen watched the Saintess go and decided to let her be for the time being.

He felt that pestering her right now might lead to consequences that he wasn't prepared to handle, and he deemed it would be best that he take a step back this time. Derek could no longer hold back his curiosity and asked his Master where they would be training for the next two years.

"You and Mildred will accompany me to escort Shana and Diana to the Temple of Zaphiel," Thirteen replied. "After that, I will take you to the place where you need to train. However, both of you need to sign an NDA Contract with me."

(A/N: Nondisclosure Agreement.)

"No problem!" Derek readily answered. "As long as I can become stronger, I can go anywhere, anytime!"

Tiona looked at the Swordsman with a pitiful gaze. The latter had no idea where her Master was going to take him.

If Derek only knew that he would be spending the two years with a certain Death Bat, the Swordsman would definitely run as far away as he could from the teenage boy, who planned to let him experience what fighting against High-Ranking Jinns was really like. After that brief episode with Roland, the celebration event proceeded normally. Erica, the star of the party, received countless gifts from those who had attended the event, as well as those who didn't manage to attend the event.

Of course, there were people who entered the venue uninvited.

However, since they were the representatives of the Monarch Clans and the Prestigious Families, Lawrence and Tristan decided to let them in, not wanting conflicts to arise between their organizations.

They all congratulated Erica, and some of them subtly told her that they could give her better benefits than the Leventis Family.

To these people, Erica only smiled and said that she would consider their offer once she got tired of Zion.

Despite the many unexpected things that happened during the celebration party, it still passed smoothly, leaving Erica very satisfied with how things ended.

She and Sherry did their best to prevent Zion from drinking any alcoholic beverages.

However, they already made plans to drink with him in private when they were back at their temporary residence.

Zion could be… very touchy when he was drunk.

To avoid any accidents, the two ladies decided to play safe and only allow him to drink in the comfort of their own room.

"Erica, my no-good grandson may be outstanding in the eyes of many people, but I know how much of a pain he is behind closed doors," Arthur said to Erica. "However, despite that, I don't think you can find anyone better than him to be your fiance.

"Also, I am aware that you and he will be traveling to Solterra with your circle of friends. But before that, would you like to have an engagement party in our residence to formalize your union with Zion?"

The old man then lowered his head to whisper in the young lady's ears.

"As you can see, these old foxes are still doing their best to poach you away from Zion," Arthur whispered. "Once the two of you become official, they will think twice about trying to separate the two of you."

"Thank you, Lord Arthur," Erica replied. "I'll be honored to participate in this engagement party."

"Good!" Arthur nodded in satisfaction. "Don't worry. I will handle everything. You just need to show up at the event and make sure that my no-good grandson makes his appearance as well.'

Erica couldn't help but giggle because Zion's grandfather wasn't as scary as she originally thought he was.

After talking to him for a while, she realized that Arthur held Zion in high regard. To a certain extent, she could also sense that the old man felt helpless to the teenage boy's antics.

Erica even thought that, as long as Zion didn't do anything that could potentially ruin the Leventis Family as a whole, Arthur would be more than willing to clean up after his mess if ever he caused trouble for anyone. Her gaze then fell on the teenage boy, who was currently dancing with Sherry on the dance floor, making her gaze soften a bit. Since she was the one who took the initiative to make Zion her fiance, she decided to go all the way and make it official.

Also, she agreed with Arthur on one point.

Although Zion had many flaws and could sometimes be a pain to handle, she believed that there was no one better than him to become her fiance.

Erica, who had long held a one-sided crush on Roland, was also sensitive to the feelings of others.

Aside from Sherry, she could also sense that her friend, Shana, had this weird dynamic with Zion.

There had been more than one occasion in which the Saintess would try to use her purification powers on her, claiming that she had been infected by the Zion Virus.

'Maybe she's right,' Erica mused. The Sorceress then glanced at Shana, who was chatting passionately with Shasha about the experiences they had in fighting alongside Zion.

A moment later, the corner of her lips rose ever so slightly.

'Maybe I am indeed infected by the Zion Virus just as you said,' Erica thought. 'But, Shana, this virus is very infectious. Although you might not know about it at this moment, I believe that you're already infected with it too.'

The Sorceress suddenly felt a bit superior to the Saintess, whom she envied back then. Since she liked Roland in the past, she was well aware of just how much Roland liked Shana. Now that Erica was able to slowly move on from her first love, she felt that soon, the Saintess would realize that the feeling of admiration she had for Zion was something else entirely.

'Well, it's too early to tell,' Erica thought. 'I'll just let things move naturally.'

A few hours later, the party finally ended, and everyone retired for the night.

"Here. Drink this, Zion," Erica said as she offered champagne to the teenage boy, who had just removed his suit. The teenage boy accepted the champagne and clinked glasses with the two ladies, who decided to drink with him.

Sherry only planned to drink one glass because she wasn't confident in her alcohol intake.

She only agreed to drink. After all, it was a special occasion, and no one would say anything as long as they were drinking in private.

After drinking his glass, Zion suddenly thought of something.

He could tell that Erica might be purposely trying to get him drunk.

However, he was also curious about what he was like when he was drunk.

'Should I set up cameras to record my behavior when I'm drunk?' Thirteen thought. 'I need it for future reference.'

After pondering for a bit, he decided to consult Erica and Sherry if they were willing to record him while he was under the effect of alcohol.

The two ladies glanced at each other and firmly shook their heads.

"Just ask Tiona tomorrow," Erica said before pouring Zion another glass.

She didn't want Zion to see how his attitude and character flipped when he was drunk.

"Hah... Fine." Thirteen sighed before he drank the glass that had been refilled with champagne.

What Zion didn't know was that he became very suave when he was drunk.

Suave enough to put Vincent to shame if the latter, who was confident in his ability to charm women, saw the teenage boy in his drunken state.

The two ladies planned to enjoy a few intimate days with Zion before all of them took the Teleportation Gate to head to Solterra and start their journey to the Temple where they would meet the Celestial known for her dislike for men.
