Chapter 766  Desperate Struggle [Part 1]

The arena shook as Mikhail's and Vincent's powerful attacks clashed with each other.

In the following few seconds, the two Wanderers clashed repeatedly, as if trying to gauge how strong each other was.

Vincent had already removed his limiter, going all-out to win this battle.

Mikhail, who had always been serious when he was fighting, had shut out the noise in his surroundings and poured all of his focus into his opponent, who seemed to have become stronger than their last battle on the deserted island.

Sparks flew in every direction whenever their weapons collided, showing just how powerful each of their blows was.

The audience watched with bated breaths as the two powerful Wanderers duked it out, unintentionally destroying parts of the arena, making Zion frown.

'Claude will pester me with the repair bills again after this,' Thirteen thought before shaking his head helplessly.

His relationship with Clark's father was not really that good. The only reason Thirteen tolerated the latter's existence was that he found Clark a good candidate to become one of his Knights of the Apocalypse.

Besides, he already promised the young man that he would not harm his family, with the exception of his Grandfather, whom Thirteen had an irreconcilable grudge with.

While the teenage boy was thinking about the future, Vincent had already gotten a good grasp of Mikhail's fighting style.

He had observed his opponent's movement speed, attack speed, and attack patterns in the short time they exchanged blows with each other.

Vincent was very observant by nature. It was this trait that allowed him to befriend the ladies, making them feel close to him.

This also helped him survive in Solterra when up against the Monsters, as he always targeted their weak spots.

Waiting for the right opportunity, Vincent sprang into action and delivered a deadly thrust toward Mikhail's chest, intending to pierce the latter's heart.

Mikhail was a second late to dodge his opponent's strike, but he shifted his body to the side just in time, making Vincent's blade only graze his chest, forming a shallow line of blood over it.

Quick to regain his posture, Vincent slashed sideways to follow up his failed attack, but this time, Mikhail was able to block it.

Utilizing his superior footwork, the handsome young man increased his pace and darted around Mikhail, unleashing sword thrusts and sword slashes, forcing Thirteen's brother to go on the defensive.

"What are you? A turtle?" Vincent taunted because Mikhail's defensive abilities were stronger than he thought.

Mikhail didn't bother to reply as he observed his opponent's movement, focusing on defense.

Perhaps out of frustration, Vincent increased the frequency of his attacks, going all out to break through Mikhail's defenses.

It was at that moment Mikhail suddenly stomped his right foot on the ground, sending rocks hurtling around him, acting as ranged projectiles, but Vincent deflected them with ease using his sword.

Just as the handsome playboy was about to continue his attacks, Mikhail slammed his axe on the ground and sent a huge chunk of the tiled arena to fly in Vincent's direction.

This scene made Thirteen's liver itch, seeing that his brother employed the tactic he had told him to use if he ever found himself surrounded by monsters in Solterra.

The God of War Axe was a Divine Martial Skill, and a third of its techniques were all about slamming the axe on the ground, creating fissures and the likes.

Simply put, it was a Martial Skill that could easily reform the topography of the battlefield, allowing him to set a stage that would give his technique an advantage.

Vincent roared as he sliced down on the tiles that flew in his direction. However, just as he finished dealing with the projectiles, a golden crescent blade flew in his direction, giving him no time to evade.

Knowing that he couldn't deflect such a powerful attack, Vincent was forced to block it.

The ground under his feet shattered as he skidded several meters away, nearly reaching the edge of the arena.

'Damn it!' Vincent cursed as soon as he realized that he could no longer feel his hands, having gone numb after receiving such a heavy blow.

But before he could even think of what to do next, a figure appeared at the corner of his eye, forcing him to jump to his left side and roll on the ground.

A second later, a loud boom rocked the arena as Mikhail's axe smashed the location where Vincent stood earlier.

He was very tempted to shout time out, but he knew that his opponent wouldn't give him the chance to have a breather.

However, the next thing that Mikhail did made Vincent's eyes widen—the former threw his axe in Vincent's direction, taking everyone by surprise.

'This is a chance!' Vincent thought as he dodged the axe that had safely flown past him. Now that his opponent was weaponless, he would no longer have to fear fighting the latter in close combat.

Mikhail, whose armor was now covered with his blood, remained calm as Vincent closed in the distance between them.

When his opponent was only a few meters away, the young man made a slashing motion with his hands.

Although he wasn't holding anything, Vincent felt a chill run down his spine. Mikhail's form seemed like he was holding some kind of weapon despite the fact that he couldn't see anything!

Trusting his instincts, Mikhail forcibly stopped his advance and jumped to the side.

A second later, Mikhail finished his swing, and a deep fissure that extended for dozens of meters appeared in front of him.

Thirteen shook his head helplessly because he knew that his brother was determined to win the fight, even using one of the Trump Cards that Gerald and Thirteen had crafted for him.

It didn't look like Mikhail was holding anything in his hands, but he was actually holding a three-meter-long axe.

However, Thirteen had imbued it with a special ability that turned it invisible, making others unable to see it!

This weapon would easily confuse his opponents because they would be unable to guess the range of his weapon, making them second-guess their distance each time they tried to get near his brother.

It was a trump card Mikhail used when he was facing a powerful opponent, allowing him plenty of room to do some risky moves that would be nearly impossible for his opponent to see and predict.
