?Chapter 1874 Two Factions
"Is it alright to kidnap a World Leader like this?"
Felberta, who walked out of Nux's shadow and hugged him from behind, questioned.
Feeling the familiar warmth and those ample breasts his head was buried into, a
satisfied smile appeared on Nux's face as he closed his eyes.
The Eldraeth Progenitor smiled as she sensed Nux's emotions. Her hands gently held Nux's before she tightened her hug around him, burying the man into her body.
For a moment, Nux didn't say anything. He just enjoyed his first wife's warmth. Then, to answer her question, he finally opened his mouth.
"It will be fine."
"Won't they notice if he is gone for too long?"
Felberta questioned.
"If he was anyone else, they probably wouldn't have noticed, but he is a World Leader, one of the strongest there. They would notice his missing presence very quickly."
"Of course they will."
Nux nodded.
Then, he just shrugged,
"But because he is a World Leader, they wouldn't think too deeply. After all, what World Leader gets kidnapped from his own world without being able to alert anyone else?"
He laughed.
Then, he rubbed Felberta's palm with his fingers and,
"The people rely too much on the World's Will. The World Leaders are used to it. They are too comfortable thinking no one can enter their world without alerting them, and they are right to think that since, theoretically, this isn't possible.
But..."
"But it is different when it comes to the Anomaly."
Felberta chuckled.
"Well, yeah."
Nux shrugged.
"Since the other World Leaders didn't sense anything out of the ordinary, they would simply assume that he had gone somewhere on his own accord. Funnily enough, rather than worrying about him, they would get wary of him.
Where did he go?
Why do we not know anything about it?
Who did he meet?
Is it an ally? Or an enemy?
All these questions would get in their heads, and it will cause a rift between the leaders instead."
Nux chuckled, finding all this amusing.
Felberta smiled as well. Her eyes fell on Aghaast, and seeing his soulless body lying on the floor while his soul hovered in the air, not reacting to anything around it anymore,
Yes, it was yet another one of the broken souls that fell victim to the cruel Soul Severance.
"Anyways, what should we do about him now?"
At Felberta's question, Nux finally decided to move out of the heaven he was buried in and stared at the being in front of him.
Then, with a wave of his hand, he placed Aghaast's soul back into his body, and his purple eyes, which had dimmed down, came back to life again.
The being, however, just like others, didn't react.
Nux then placed his hand on his head and,
"Don't resist."
He ordered as his energy entered the being's body. Strange patterns started appearing on his body as he read Aghaast's memories. Once he was done, a frown appeared on his face.
For now, however, he decided not to think about it. He opened a portal and carried Aghaast into his room again.
Then, using his ability, he manipulated his memories to forget everything that happened from the point he met him and returned back to Felberta, closing the portal.
"He will find out, you know."
Felberta commented.
Memory erasing was effective, but beings at Primordial levels would be able to sense the 'blanks' in their minds and piece it together.
"I didn't erase his memory."
Nux shook his head.
"What?"
Felberta frowned.
"I manipulated it according to his habits."
Nux shrugged.
"By the time he realizes something is wrong, he will have other things to worry about."
He spoke, his mind forming a devious plan.
And Felberta, who could read his emotions, couldn't help but be curious.
"What did you see in his memories? Did you get information regarding the Foxes?"
Nux nodded.
"How's the situation? Who are we up against?"
The Eldraeth questioned directly.
After all, she already knew what Nux was thinking. She knew what he was going to do, and since he had already decided, it was obvious that she and the others would be
there right next to him as well.
"Have you ever wondered that if even the lowest level worlds are part of factions and are somehow connected to the Supreme Worlds, why is Yrniel different?"
Nux questioned back.
"Isn't that because we are too far away from the Supreme Worlds?"
"That is correct."
Nux nodded.
"But this doesn't mean that we do not have our own problems to deal with.
Since the Supreme Worlds' influence doesn't spread to this area, the worlds here have
created their own independent factions, and currently,
There are two major factions here."
"Don't tell me..."
Felberta's expression changed.
"Yep, the one who is after the Foxes is one of these two factions."
Felberta turned silent.
"Just like Faelara told me before, these people are actually after Yrniel's 'Secret
Weapon, and they are using the Foxes to learn more about it.
The faction wants to get their hands on this weapon and get rid of the enemy faction."
"How do they know if this 'secret weapon' is strong enough?"
"It is because when Yrniel was attacked before, one of the strongest experts of this
faction was sent to lead the charge,
But it only awakened that monster from his sleep..."
Nux answered, and Felberta didn't need to think about what happened next.
"They were wiped out, huh?"
Nux shrugged.
"The faction never tried to directly get involved with Yrniel again and decided to use
the Foxes. But well...
They didn't really succeed, and now, it seems like they are losing patience."
"How strong is this faction?"
Felberta questioned with a curious look on her face.
"They have five Middle Level Worlds at the top. The rest are low-level worlds we don't
have to consider."
"Five Middle Level Worlds..."
Felberta muttered, and Nux nodded with a solemn look on his face.
"They are a problem. There's a total of eighteen Transcendents in the faction. We stand no chance in a
direct confrontation."
"Then... are we going to abandon the Foxes?"
Felberta questioned.
She knew Nux would do that if he had to choose.
Nux, however, shook his head and smiled mischievously.
"I said we stand no chance in a direct confrontation.
Who said we are going to do that?
It is time to use our long-time enemy to our advantage."
Nux's grin widened.
