Chapter 138 The Azkaban Prison Riot Plan

Chapter 138 The Azkaban Prison Riot Plan

Japan time, 7:30 in the evening, Kabukicho, outside a pub.

In the torrential rain, large raindrops pattered against the wooden eaves, while four figures stood underneath, avoiding the rain and gazing out at the street shrouded in the rain curtain.

"A Zhe is fine, already sent her back home to rest," the Top Bull said, turning his head to look at Ke Mingye, "Who would've thought... you actually carried medical tools with you."

"Bought them from the shop," Ke Mingye said, "They're not expensive, just E-level items."

While the two were talking, Fan Quan lifted the curtain and walked out of the pub, holding a black umbrella in his hand.

He said, "Since the mission is complete, if there's nothing else, then we're heading back to Huanjing."

"Ah, off you go then, I've got overtime tonight..." Ju Zipi clamped the scabbard under his arm and sighed with his shoulders hugged.

Ke Mingye patted his shoulder, taking delight in his misfortune, "Lao Ju, be careful not to get drained dry by a wealthy matron."

"We'll come to visit when we're free, hang in there."

Qing Meng looked up from her phone, also taking delight in the misfortune, adding a sentence.

Ju Zipi fell silent for a while, then said with downcast eyes, "As long as you guys don't die, the rest doesn't matter."

"Of course, I'll definitely die later than you," Qing Meng hummed, "And who knows, we might not even have to die. If we exterminate the Superhuman race and return to the original world, I'll dial your number, and we'll have a player gathering in the real world."

"You make it sound easy, but if I can return to the original world, I'd probably want nothing to do with you guys."

Fan Quan adjusted his glasses, speaking calmly.

"Such lack of sentiment, you cultural person," Ke Mingye laid a heavy hand on his shoulder.

Qing Meng gave him a disdainful glance, "Seriously, cultural person, what difference does it make whether you say that or not? Even adding a friend over here has you hemming and hawing; if we really got back to the original world, you'd definitely cut ties with us immediately."

"The cultural person might have his own thoughts," Ju Zipi smiled.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, the one who sold you here to be a Cowherd was him after all; he's full of ideas," Ke Mingye said.

"Let's go, back to Huanjing... We just killed a superhero, time to hit the road."

As he spoke, Fan Quan had already propped up the umbrella, ready to step out from under the eaves, when he was stopped by the Top Bull.

The Top Bull closed his Nokia phone's cover and suddenly said, "Hold on, I have something to discuss with you guys."

Fan Quan turned around and asked, "What is it?"

"After I reported to the organization about the progress of the assassination mission, I got an important piece of information from them," the Top Bull said, "Roughly ten months from now, anti-Superhuman organizations from around the world are planning a joint attack on the Superhuman prison in the Arctic—'Azkaban'."

Fan Quan hesitated, "Azkaban Prison, you mean the largest Superhuman prison in the world?"

"That's right. The organization wants to take advantage of this action to liberate the Superhuman criminals in prison, to draw out the Divine Communicator Zeus, letting these Superhuman slaughter each other."

Top Bull paused as he spoke.

"The criminals locked up in Azkaban Prison are some of the most vicious and evil superhumans in the world. As far as I know, even the least dangerous felons there are at least C-level, and how powerful the strongest ones are, that's unclear... To be honest, it wouldn't be surprising if there were S-level combatants among them."

"Ten months from now, that is, next May," Fan Quan said expressionlessly, "is there an exact date?"

"Not yet, but currently thirteen superhuman organizations from around the world are involved in preparing for the attack, and they have prepared plenty of equipment specialized for superhumans." Top Bull said, "If that day does come, it will be a war... The number of casualties will be at least in the tens of thousands, and the dead will be the elite among the superhumans."

"War?" Ke Mingye shrugged, "Please, is there really someone in the world who can defeat Zeus? Are you sure it isn't just that all the criminals will get wiped out by Zeus alone after they're released? Although that would save us the trouble, I guess."

Their goal is to exterminate superhumans, so those in the prison cannot be spared, and it's only a matter of time before they target those cataclysmic felons in Azkaban.

Whether Zeus can slaughter all the superhuman criminals, or the criminals manage to overpower Zeus, for them, it's definitely a win-win situation.

Top Bull said, "Let's not discuss how many A-level monsters there are among these superhuman criminals; besides, ten months from now, we won't be at the same level as we are now, we should have the power to stand up to Zeus."

"Is it possible…" Ke Mingye sang doom, "that ten months from now, Zeus has also become stronger? After all, he was already an S-level tough guy at the sixth realm of his divine communication, and if he climbs one more realm, then I don't even dare to think how strong he will become."

"So we must kill him as soon as possible. The riot at the Northern Border Prison in ten months is our best chance. We can benefit from Zeus and the criminals in the prison both suffering injuries during their fight, and take them down together, reaping the benefits without lifting a finger."

Top Bull said, sighing softly, "In other words... if we can't take down Zeus in that war, our chances are slim."

"Understood, we'll deal with that when the time comes. Right now, we can't predict what will happen in ten months, the situation could change at any moment…"

Fan Quan paused, "Moreover, this may be false intelligence. The people from the Black Tengu Club might be using it to test whether we're trustworthy enough."

"Actually, I think so too." Top Bull said, "But the leader of our organization is a peculiar guy, you can't use common sense to infer his logic."

Fan Quan said indifferently, "If it weren't bizarre, he wouldn't have created an organization that hunts superhumans indiscriminately."

"Aren't we players the same?" Qing Meng asked.

"No, we are forced." Fan Quan said, "If you've got nothing better to do, reading a few books at home feels much better than being an executioner…"

Top Bull also said, "Can you guarantee there are no superhuman babies or children in the world? No, they are numerous, and you won't feel guilty killing a superhero with a sordid past, but what about killing others?"

Qing Meng remained silent.

"The only thing we can do is treat this like a game world," Top Bull said. "Choosing to break the shackles of morality or face death, most would opt for the former."

"Heh, it looks like you're the most engrossed in the role, playing the Cowherd shop owner quite convincingly." Ke Mingye teased.

Ju Zipi laughed loudly, but after Top Bull gave him a cold sidelong glance, he drooped his head, holding onto the hilt of his knife, and dared not laugh anymore, rubbing his nose instead.

"Let's go home, I'm dead tired," Qing Meng said as she slung the leather bag carrying the guns over her shoulder and stretched.

"We can't talk anymore, there's a client waiting for me at the club."

Ju Zipi glanced at his phone which had exploded with calls and muttered softly to himself.

"Oh, and give me back my badge. If I didn't say it, you wouldn't have even mentioned it."

Fan Quan removed the translation badge from the chest of the Top Bull as he spoke, and then walked out from under the eaves of the izakaya, holding an umbrella.

The Top Bull cursed in Japanese as his voice changed, and Ke Mingye couldn't help but spit out his drink and said to him, "Sayonara," before he followed Qing Meng to catch up with Fan Quan. The three figures gradually disappeared into the veil of rain.

"Boss, do you think we can really survive?" Ju Zipi asked while watching the three figures vanish into the rain.

"We do what we can, and then leave the rest to fate."

The Top Bull said as he took the cigarette from his mouth and patted Ju Zipi on the shoulder with his hand.

"It's time to go drink with the lady boss of Leading Moon Society, or she'll get pissed off. Last time you and us went on a mission and stood her up, she almost flipped our place upside down."

"It's a long road ahead..."

Ju Zipi looked up into the rain-soaked Tokyo and muttered to himself.

At the same time, in the residential house of Bai Ke's home in China Huanjing, inside Bai Zini's room.

"Big bro, what are you daydreaming about?"

Bai Zini waved her hand, pouting in annoyance, "It's your turn to play a card, you're so distracted. It's my bad luck to be on your team, next round I'll be the landlord!"

"What's the rush? Don't you know that in poker, you need to consider carefully and make every move count." Ke Mingye glanced at his own hand, "Pair of twos."

As he spoke, he picked two hearts of twos and threw them onto the floor of the room, where they landed among the other cards.

Bai Ziling laid out four spades of fives, saying emotionlessly, "Bomb."

"Pass."

"Pass."

Bai Ziling glanced at the three remaining cards in her hand and without hesitation, slapped down two Jokers.

"Royal flush," she said, lifting her eyes from beneath her snow-white locks.

Ke Mingye's face was expressionless, "Pass."

Bai Zini's face turned ashen, "Pass."

Bai Ziling placed her last card down, her lips curling slightly as she extended her palm towards them, "Three. I win, pay up."

Ke Mingye opened WeChat and transferred a 10 yuan red envelope to Bai Ziling;

Bai Zini, looking unhappy, also opened WeChat and grudgingly transferred a 10 yuan red envelope to Bai Ziling.

Then she pounced on Ke Mingye, shaking him by the shoulders, and said through gritted teeth, "How are we supposed to play when there's always an actor on the farmers' side, eh? Are you acting against me? How can you play with a pig-headed teammate like that?!"

"I just don't know how to play, teach me more and I'll learn."

"We've played so many rounds since we were kids, and you're still saying you don't know how, pighead is a pighead, how could you bear to screw over your own sister!"

Bai Ziling took a sip of hot water and calmly echoed, "Pighead."

Ke Mingye rolled his eyes, "Forget it, I won't play anymore. You have so many complaints, ask big brother to play with you."

"Get lost, we've never won a single game playing with big brother."

"Then the second brother."

"Second brother too!"

"Then Yongzhu."

Bai Zini brightened up at this suggestion and clapped her hands, "That'll work, Zi Ling, go get the junior to come over for a beating. We'll let him be the landlord and play two against one."

"Little brother is sleeping."

"Then wake him up!"

Ke Mingye ignored the two of them, stood up, patted his buttocks, and walked out of Bai Zini's room, then went to the living room.

There, his father sat on a living room chair reading the newspaper, while Bai Qiuwu was on the sofa watching the news. His eldest brother had gone out for a date, and his second brother was in the kitchen helping their mother with housework.

"What happened to your foot?"

Ke Youqing glanced at Ke Mingye's awkward gait and asked.

"Tripped while running, it's nothing serious."

Ke Mingye walked over to the fridge and took out a bottle of cola from the freezer.

"Be more careful next time." With that, Ke Youqing took his gaze off him and turned to look at an article about a pseudo-policeman dressed like a red and blue owl on the newspaper.

Just then, the TV unexpectedly broadcast a breaking news report.

"The Dice Monster appeared again right above the Huanjing Tower, loudly proclaiming tonight's terror attack with drums and gongs to the public..."

"It's been nearly a month since the Dice Monster first appeared in Huanjing, but the Superhero Association has yet to arrest him, leaving him to roam free."

"This has caused great public discontent and concern. The Superhero Association has still not responded through any media channels up to now."

Bai Qiuwu fixed her gaze on the Dice Monster banging on drums atop the Huanjing Tower displayed on the TV screen. She hesitated for a moment, then stood up from the sofa and slowly went upstairs.

Back in her room, she locked the door, leaned against it with her eyes closed, and took a deep breath. Then she opened the window, made sure no one was watching, and summoned the Somersault Cloud from in front of the windowsill.

Momentarily, she stepped onto the dark cloud and soared lightly upwards until her form disappeared into the deep night sky.
