Chapter 547 546: A Plan

As Corey came to the terrifying conclusion that the Queen, Vaerina, was most likely giving birth to the abominations and Goliathspawns, he saw his Master and Melissa glance at him with narrowed and suspicious eyes, and he could not help but give a wry smile.

He could more or less guess what was on their minds.

'Don't bother asking me why this ugly thing wants me. It's not like I'm ever going to tell you.'

Corey shifted his gaze to Vaerina, and when he gazed into her eyes, he could sense the desire and hunger in her eyes. To Corey's horror, his Paragon senses along with the senses of his Cosmic Soul also perceived lust in Vaerina's eyes.

Corey could not help but take a step back when he sensed this, and for a moment, he almost failed to stop himself from vomiting.

'Lust? Lust?! Why the fuck are you lusting over me?! Lust over your ugly abominable kind, not me damn it… I'm still a bloody virgin.'

"Why… are you moving away from me?... Didn't you come here so that I can… devour you?"

Old Man Poison and Melissa snapped their heads towards Corey with strange gazes, and Corey could not help but lose the composure and calmness he always maintained regardless of his internal thoughts.

"Absolutely not! Why the fuck would I ever want you to… devour… me?"

Corey felt like something vile was stuck in his throat as he tried to say the word 'devour'. Because he could sense the lust in the gaze of Vaerina, he knew that there was more to what she meant by devouring him.

Vaerina tilted her head to the side, and a baffled expression appeared on her face. "Why… won't you?"

"Because I don't want to get fucking… devoured?" Corey raised his hands in a gesture that said- 'Isn't it fucking obvious?'

Vaerina blinked, and then she glanced at Melissa and Old Man Poison for a second before shifting her gaze back at Corey.

"If you didn't… come to get devoured… so that I can be cured… why did you now… come?"

Corey blinked, and then a bizarre thought came to his mind.

"Why do you need to be cured? Is there anything wrong with you?"

Vaerina froze for a few seconds, and then she blinked thrice before saying in a soft but dangerous tone.

"Why do I need to be cured? Is there anything wrong with me?"

Shockingly, when Vaerina spoke, it was the beautiful voice that spoke and not the disgusting voice. However, when Corey heard Vaerina's voice, what he heard was not just the beautiful voice but a voice that was filled with rage and killing intent.

Vaerina's eyes became cold and dark as she stared at Corey.

"How dare you make a mockery out of me?! All can clearly see what is wrong with me and you dare mock me by asking what is wrong with me?!"

"I was planning on giving you a… quick and painless death… but you've changed my mind with what… you just said… I'll make sure you wish for death by the time I'm done with you."

Corey's lips twitched when he felt the intense killing intent that was radiating from Vaerina. He felt Vaerina's aura 'slowly' rising, and Corey knew that Vaerina was gathering her strength to unleash a skill to attack him.

Although Corey could choose to attack Vaerina as she gathered the energy and strength to unleash a skill on him, he had a feeling that he would be met with a fierce counterattack if he dared to attack her.

'Her aura is fluctuating, and she's trying to stabilize it to attack me. Her condition is terrible but it's also dangerous for me if I'm not careful.'

"My dear foolish and useless disciple, please tell me why you decided to anger her?"

Old Man Poison's voice drifted into Corey's ears, and Corey chuckled with a slightly nervous smile.

"It's all a process on how to wing it," Corey said, and Old Man Poison sighed.

His Master's voice resounded in his mind, and Corey was taken aback for a second before he nodded slowly.

'Good. You're not so foolish and useless after all.'

Corey's lips twitched.

'Luck is on our side. Because of the strange state of the Power, I have a way to kill this abomination or if it doesn't kill it, it would severely weaken it and then we'll be able to kill it with our strongest skills.'

Corey's eyes brightened in delight and surprise as he stared at his Master, and when his Master saw the joy, surprise, and relief in his eyes, Old Man Poison scowled, and his hands moved.

Smack!

"What the hell?"

Old Man Poison smacked Corey's head with his staff, and Corey cursed with visible anger in his voice.

"She's about to attack you. Focus boy."

Corey looked at Vaerina, and then he saw three water spears hovering in the air in front of her. Although he had seen the water spears before his Master warned him of the attack because of the bird's eye view of his Eyes of Omniscience, he dared not to tell his Master this or he would get another smack on his head.

'You'll pay for all that you… said."

Vaerina said, and then she waved her snow-white right hand.

The water spears moved at an extremely fast speed, and in the blink of an eye, Corey, Melissa, and Old Man Poison saw a water spear appear in front of them.

Melissa's body moved like that of a snake, and she was able to narrowly dodge the water spear.

Old Man Poison transformed into a poisonous mist, and the spear went through his poisonous mist form, leaving a hole in it as it travelled far into the distance.

The poisonous mist twisted and churned a few times before transforming back to Old Man Poison. Although he was fine and without any external injuries, his pale face and trembling hand signified that he had not dodged the Queen's attack without any cost.

Meanwhile, Corey was not taken aback or frightened by the speed of the attack. He had been expecting such an attack, and with his experience in his battles against the Capra King and Aethara, he was not surprised by how fast the attack was.

In fact, because of his past battles, he realized that the attack was not as fast and powerful as the Capra King's and Aethara's.

Multiple hexagon barriers appeared in front of the water spear, and without waiting to see the result, he teleported far away from the path of the water spear.
