Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 540 539: A Scary Illusion

Chapter 540 539: A Scary Illusion

"Ryan Houtz… What do you think you're doing?"

Azhrun's cold voice drifted along with the raging sound of the Eternal Waterfall crashing into the sea.

Ryan stood in front of Corey with a plain-looking sword in his right hand. The sword in his hand glowed with a sharp light that emitted a faint howl which could be strangely heard by every single individual and abomination in the air.

Once again, Ryan ignored Azhrun and glanced at Corey with a calm, but suspicious gaze. He observed Corey, and when he saw his partially destroyed clothes, cuts and injuries on his body, along with Corey's slightly laboured breathing, he could not help but ask with furrowed brows.

"What are you doing? Why are you doing something so foolish?"

Corey glanced at him with a wry smile but said nothing. He shifted his gaze to the Shattered Sea below, and his pure white eyes reflected the sight of countless abominations and Goliathspawns below.

When he did, a chill crawled up his spine when he saw what was occurring below.

Every single abomination and Goliathspawn were staring at him from below with expressionless faces. Their gazes and expressions were so horror-inducing that Corey had to take a step back.

Although Corey had seen and experienced some scary things, seeing almost a million creatures staring at him with expressionless faces was a scary thing, even for Corey.

'Damn it. What the hell is this? It's creepy as fuck.'

Corey cursed inwardly, and then he looked up. Although he had gotten closer to the Eternal Waterfall, he remained on the side of the Water of Purity because he could feel that the danger on the Water of Calamity was higher.

Rain fell on the side of the Water of Purity, but not on the Water of Calamity. Although drops of rain fell on him, they harmlessly slid down his body which emitted an extremely subtle glow. The glow was his mana which he used to cover his body from the rain.

Although the rain seemed harmless and he did not sense anything odd about it, his experience in the Morphing Expanse and the fact that it was raining heavily with the sky still as bright as ever made Corey cautious.

'It was raining in the Morphing Expanse. There was thunder, lightning, and even rain at some point in the Raging Sky, and now there's rain in the Shattered Sea… Why is it that everywhere I go in this mad world, I suffer where there's rain?'

'First, it was doors and stairs. Now it's also rain… Damn it all.'

Ryan noticed Corey's strange behaviour and frustrated expression, and he looked down. When he did, his gray eyes reflected a carnage and battle that was so horrific that it changed the colour of the Water of Purity.

He could see countless abominations and Goliathspawns killing one another in a brutal and deadly fashion.

Abominations unleashed their attacks which were filled with a menacing, malevolent darkness and corruption. The Goliathspawns responded in kind, sending their attacks of the water element which emitted an extremely pure aura. Your journey continues at empire

The number of deaths, how the abominations and Goliathspawns died, and the downpour of rain without lightning and thunder gave way to an eerie sight that would horrify the minds of even some Tier 5s.

'Although I heard that the Underworld is brutal and cruel, he has never participated in a war so he has never seen so much death and chaos like this… It's understandable since they are all prisoners and are not allowed to see the outside world.'

Ryan thought inwardly with a slight furrow of his brows, he shifted his gaze at Corey, and then he said.

"Let's leave this place since it's obvious that the battle below us is too much for you."

'Huh?'

Corey was stunned. He tilted his head with a baffled expression, but a second later, a bolt of realization struck him and he could not help but look down.

His pure white eyes reflected the sight of every single abomination and Goliathspawn below stared at him with emotionless expressions.

His Eyes of Omniscience receded, and his Eyes of Dreams and Nightmares appeared.

He looked down, and when he did, what he saw changed. It was no longer a scene of every single creature in the Shattered Sea staring at him, but a scene of countless abominations and Goliathspawns killing and devouring one another.

However, what he saw was not completely clear, and there were times when the bodies of some abominations and Goliathspawns would morph into a dark fog for a second before changing back to their solid appearances.

'My Eyes of Omniscience can see through the illusion below completely, but my Eyes of Dreams and Nightmare cannot see through the illusion completely. But assuming I didn't have the Eyes of Omniscience I'll be able to see that something is completely wrong but I won't be able to see what it actually is?'

Corey thought with a deep frown, and then his deep violet and sky blue eyes became pure white.

'I wonder if the Tri-Pupil Eyes would be able to see through the illusion.'

Corey thought and was about to move his head away, but then he froze as he noticed a change in the abominations and Goliathspawns.

They were now all smiling at him.

'Fuck! That's creepy and scary as hell!'

Corey cursed inwardly, and with his instincts sending him warning signals from the sea below, he chose not to waste any more time. He needed to leave this deceptively horrifying place.

'Who the fuck the Shattered Sea was one of the most beautiful places in this mad dimension The person clearly has rocks in their eyes.'

Corey lampooned inwardly, and then he looked at Ryan with a serious expression.

"I'm leaving."

Ryan's expression was one of relief and delight, "Great. Let's-"

CLAP!

WHOOSH!

"... go-ooo?"

"..."

Ryan's mouth remained wide open as he stared at Corey who had created a new hexagon platform and was now running on it while leaving behind arcs of electricity that travelled far and wide before dissipating.
