Chapter 503 : 502: Destroyer
Chapter 503 : 502: Destroyer
"Time to meet my Genesis Armament."
The moment Pamela said these words, the weapon was fully formed in her hand.
And shockingly, it was a spear.
It was not a magic staff, or anything mages like her would ever use, but a spear.
The spear in Pamela's hand was a weapon unlike any the world, or even the shattered dimension, had ever seen.
Its blade glowed with an unnatural light, translucent and radiant, as though forged from the essence of a star. The edges shimmered in a kaleidoscope of hues, shifting seamlessly between radiant gold, electric violet, and icy blue. Its surface rippled faintly as if it were breathing.
Runes etched into the blade spiralled downward in intricate patterns, their glowing forms along with the slight movement of the runes made it seem like they were alive.
As she held the spear aloft, the blade left trails of glowing energy in the air, streaks of pure light that lingered for a heartbeat before fading. Even in stillness, the weapon radiated an aura of immense power, its light cutting through the oppressive darkness of Zal'Zerael's Imperium like a beacon of defiance.
The shaft was as mesmerizing as the blade. At first glance, it seemed metallic, seemingly polished to perfection, but upon closer inspection, it pulsed faintly with warmth, almost as though alive.
Five intricate white runes on the shaft glowed faintly, their light dim but constant, like embers in a dying fire. Each rune was part of an interlocking pattern, flowing seamlessly into the next in a design that seemed endless and somewhat impossible to comprehend at a single glance.
A shimmering haze surrounded the spear, an aura of light and energy that seemed to distort the air around it. Faint sparks of lightning danced across its surface, vanishing as quickly as they appeared.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Pamela murmured, her voice calm yet filled with an edge of arrogance as she gazed at Zal'Zerael.
"Unlike the Genesis Armaments of others that was given to them, I made sure to create my Genesis Armament before coming here, and I must say… I'm satisfied with what I created."
The glowing runes along the shaft flared to life, brighter and more vivid than ever, their light painting the fractured landscape in shades of white, gold, and violet light.
Zal'Zerael's glowing eyes narrowed when it saw this. For the first time in centuries, it felt something foreign.
Not anger. Not fury.
It was awe.
Pamela twirled the spear effortlessly, its blade slicing through the air with a sound that was both sharp and melodic as if the weapon itself were singing. The light around it pulsed rhythmically.
"I call her, Destroyer," Pamela smiled, and then she took a step forward. "Shall we?"
Her lips curved into a slight smile… and then she moved.
BANG!
The space she stood on and the sea of liquid lightning beneath her and behind her shattered as a massive shockwave shook Zal'Zerael's Imperium just because she moved.
Zal'Zerael roared, and the storm above surged with renewed fury. The runes of the world twisted and coiled around its body, forming a barrier of lightning and wind.
It could perceive the danger the spear in Pamela's hands radiated, and it knew that the spear could cause serious injuries to its body.
The sight of a massive twister of lightning and wind would have sent shivers down the spine of most, but Pamela didn't hesitate as she launched herself forward.
Her spear glowed brighter with each step she took, and in the blink of an eye, she appeared before the massive barrier of the storm.
"Valecrest Spear Art: Heaven's Ruin!"
She swung Destroyer with all her might, and the runes on its surface flared as it collided with Zal'Zerael's barrier.
The impact shattered the barrier instantly, and the resulting shockwave tore through the battlefield, sending debris flying in all directions.
Zal'Zerael recoiled, its massive body trembling as cracks spread across its obsidian frame. For the first time, the draconic abomination looked vulnerable.
Pamela smirked while twirling her spear as she prepared for her next attack. Her lips parted open to speak, but a figure appeared in front of her.
The figure was a colossal serpent made out of lightning and wind. Its mouth was wide open, and its fangs moved at the speed of lightning towards Pamela, but Pamela was faster.
She swung her spear horizontally, and the serpent was instantly destroyed the moment her spear touched it.
The remaining storm constructs appeared around her, and they all roared and attacked her with a ferocious intensity, but Pamela merely swung Destroyer while performing a 360-degree spin in the air.
A white arc of arcane energy flew and split every single storm construct into two. All the storm constructs vanished some moments later.
After destroying Zal'Zerael's storm constructs, she was about to take a step forward, but just as she did, she stopped and coughed out a mouthful of blood.
Her vision became hazy for a second, but she quickly shook her head and wiped the blood from her lips.
Although her current state gave her tremendous and unbelievable power, the cost of such power was immense.
Her body was currently hotter than magma, and she was certain that if she fell into the sea of liquid lightning below her without protection, she would evaporate a vast amount of the sea.
She could feel her heart, mana veins, and internal organs melting the longer she stayed in this state, and she knew she did not have long.
She was currently dying, and the only runes why her body was still in one piece, especially her internal organs, was because of the runes in her body which she was using to stabilize and cool the most important parts of her body.
The runes on her skin flickered slightly, and she glanced at it.
'Two minutes huh… I guess I have to hurry.'
Pamela thought with a slight smile. Although the time she had left was little, she was enjoying herself.
For the first time since she got her talent, she was able to fight without holding back… And she loved every single bit of it.
