Chapter 757 Chit-chats

Chapter 757 Chit-chats

Back on Earth, Irene and Ariel were sitting in one corner of the room and talking. Irene was shy at first. Ariel was the one who was leading the conversation with her aunt. But Irene was slowly opening up to her niece.

And Theodore was being entertained by the Crown Prince. And all the others were sitting around Theodore and having everyday conversations with him.

Vlad was also constantly looking towards the closed door. He didn't want Victoria to barge inside again and create another scene. Or worse, he didn't want his parents to get an air of the new visitors. Theodore and Irene preferred their visit to stay secret since they had arrived in secret.

After about an hour or so, Irene and Ariel also joined the rest of the group.

But rather than sitting down, Irene looked at her brother and suggested, "Theodore, shall we leave for today? It's already midnight. I think the children would love to rest. They all had a long day."

Ariel quickly held her aunt's palms and asked in a pampered voice, "Aunty, why don't you stay here with me tonight? I'm not tired at all. I would love to talk with you for the whole night. I want to hear about all of your adventures around the world; all the adventures of all time periods."

Irene gleefully laughed and replied, "But I am an ancient being who has roamed around this Earth for eons. Even a whole year won't be enough for me to finish talking about only the interesting bits of my life."

"So, stay with me for a year then." Ariel smiled ear to ear. "Oh!" She suddenly widened her eyes and said, "Or… I can travel the world along with you. And we can have an amazing time exploring everything."

Theodore looked at his daughter with mixed emotions. He was happy that she was now comfortable with Irene and also comfortable with planning about exploring the world.

But at the same time, he was also a little sad after realizing that his daughter wasn't a child anymore. He could see the desire in her to lead a carefree life, not that he didn't already know, but now she looked ready and eager to actually do that.

Irene glanced at Theodore and said to Ariel, "Sure. I would love to show you everything if your father is okay with it."

Ariel looked at her father with puppy eyes and expectantly smiled.

And Theodore gave a shrug and replied, "If that's what Ary wants then I won't stop her."

However, Irene nervously laughed and said to Ariel, "But I have to warn you, Ariel. The places I visit aren't really appealing most of the time. My task is to restore peace in the Kingdoms which are in ruins after the war. And… you can already guess how those places might look like after they go through war."

Ariel knitted her brows together and asked in confusion, "Why do you restore peace after the war already takes place? Isn't doing something to stop the war in the first place more commendable?"

Irene breathed in heavily. Only she knew how much she wished to do that. But there was only so much she could do when she was working against the sly brother of hers. "I would have loved to do that. But my other brother is so good at spreading hatred and causing chaos that I can barely clean up after him. Doing something before he causes any damage is impossible for me alone."

"Other brother?" Ariel looked at her father with a questioning glance.

Her father never really talked about his family and she also didn't ask him anything because she felt like she would be hurting her father if she did. But now, Ariel was curious about how many uncles and aunts she had in total. They seemed to be popping up every now and then. So, she wanted to confirm.

And she was also curious to know if there were others who were as pure and loving as Irene. If there were, then she wanted to meet them all.

Theodore, however, didn't want to ruin his daughter's first vacation by bringing up things that weren't all pleasant. So he dismissed her by saying, "Why don't we talk about all this after you return to Wyverndale? I will tell you everything."

"Okay." Ariel didn't insist. She was fine being oblivious for so many years. She was going to be fine if she had to wait for a few more days.

Theodore then got up from his seat and asked his sister, "Irene, why don't you come with me? I shall introduce you to your sister-in-law. And you may stay with us for a few more days if that's okay with you."

"I can meet her now?" Irene slightly raised her brows. She was beaming with happiness when her brother put forth the invitation. "And I am also welcome to stay at your Kingdom?"

"Yes, why not?" Theodore smiled at his sister. But he suddenly remembered something, "Oh, but first, I will have to ask our mother to put down the barrier around Wyverndale."

Theodore then looked at all of the young ones in the room and said, "Well, we will leave all of you now. There's no need to worry about anything." He stole a glance at Irene and continued, "Our mother will take care of everything. So all of you can focus on enjoying each other's company."

"Thank you for coming here and making sure that everything was okay Your Royal Highness," Vlad said after gratefully bowing to Prince Consort.

Theodore gave a nod and replied, "My daughter called and I came. It's as simple as that. But I am glad that I got to meet you and Joyce after so long. I hope the two of you are planning to visit Wyverndale soon. Everyone there misses both of you."

Vlad and Joyce exchanged a glance and smiled. And Vlad politely accepted, "We will visit soon." Vlad looked at his wife again and added with a smile, "Hopefully, with a good news."

"Vlad…" Joyce shyly raised her brows at her husband.

Theodore laughed and happily gave a pat on Vlad's shoulder. "That would be even better. I will eagerly wait for your arrival then. We all will."

Theodore then walked closer to his daughter and said to her, "Grandma is taking care of everything. You don't have to worry. If anything happens then don't hesitate to summon me. I will be by your side in the next second."

"Thank you, dad." Ariel hugged Theodore tightly and whispered to him, "I love you. And tell mom that I love her and that I will come home soon."

"Sure." Theodore lifted his head and said after planting a soft kiss on Ariel's forehead, "I love you too, my sweet baby. Have fun, and take care of yourself and the others."

"I will." Ariel gave a nod and waved her hand while smiling.

Irene also hugged Ariel and then took leave. "I will see you again, Ariel. We will continue our talks some other time."

Ariel happily agreed. "I can't wait to see you again."

The two ancient ones prepared to teleport from the room after bidding goodbye to everyone.

Joyce suddenly recalled that she had to share something with Theodore. She quickly held out her hands and shouted, "Uncle Theodore! Wait!"

However, both Theodore and Irene disappeared before they heard Joyce.

Ariel looked at Joyce and asked, "You had to say something to my dad?" She picked up the pendant from her neck and asked, "Do you want me to call him again?"

But Joyce shook her head thinking she would only ruin Theodore's happy mood. "No, leave it for now. I had to say something, but you can relay the message to him when you go back home. It's not something urgent… I think…"

"What is it?" Ariel was now curious when she saw Joyce's expression suddenly turned gloomy.

Joyce sighed and said, "It's something that I saw in my dreams."
