Chapter 153 Making Trouble
Chapter 153 Making Trouble
"Take your time eating," Mother Xiao smiled and then said, "You'll finish it eventually."
Mother Xiao clearly did not want to drink the soup; she wanted to leave the chicken soup for her son to drink.
Xiao Han, however, felt sorry for his mother. He wanted her to be able to have a bowl of the steaming hot chicken soup. Xiao Han poured half of his soup into another bowl and picked a lot of the chicken meat into it. Then he said, "Mom, this is for you. You eat, don't waste it."
"You eat, I won't," Mother Xiao shook her head and then said, "You're under a lot of study pressure right now, you should eat more."
"But I really can't eat that much," Xiao Han's tone became firmer, he became anxious, "If you don't eat, I won't eat either!"
Under Xiao Han's coercion, Mother Xiao had no choice but to start eating with her chopsticks.
Seeing his mother start to eat, Xiao Han also began to eat.
Xiao Han drank the chicken soup happily, feeling very blissful. This kind of happiness was incomparable to anything else.
......
News quickly spread that the Hanmen Training Class had suddenly changed its teacher, and many parents began to express their displeasure. In their view, having paid so much tuition for their children, how could an unknown teacher be allowed to teach?
Therefore, quite a few parents went to the Hanmen Training Class office to demand an explanation. Unfortunately, there were only two security guards on duty in the office, and they could only get in touch with Li Dapang.
Li Dapang received the news and hurriedly found Xiao Han in the classroom.
"Xiao Han, there's trouble," Li Dapang said anxiously.
"What happened?" Xiao Han asked curiously.
"Just now, news came from the training class that many parents have created a disturbance," Li Dapang said worriedly, "They are all complaining about us changing the teaching staff and are demanding that we switch the teachers back."
"Is that so?" Xiao Han was startled.
"Yes!" Li Dapang nodded quickly and asked, "What should we do about this?"
"Ignore them!" Xiao Han shook his head and said, "That's just how these people are, if you give in, they'll think they can walk all over you. Let them be however they want. Tell the office staff, if they have complaints, they can choose to drop out. Hanmen Training Class has never been short of students!"
"Uh..." Li Dapang hesitated at this response and said, "Is it really okay to do this?"
"What's wrong with it?" Xiao Han replied sternly, "Don't give them the chance to push us around."
"Alright," Li Dapang nodded hastily.
Hanmen Training Class office.
Some capable parents had already brought in the reporters, who came to understand the situation and felt this was quite a big piece of news. Since Hanmen Training Class was very famous in LJ City, any news about it would be explosive. If hyped up, the news could become even more sensational.
LJ City's local TV station and media quickly set up their long and short cameras at the scene and arranged interviews with the angry parents.
"Scammers, they are scammers, why should they change teachers?"
"Right, we protest, we are against it!"
"We absolutely do not agree to them changing teachers. The college entrance examination is approaching, if our children's performance drops at this time, who is responsible?"
The parents all appeared indignant, each looking extremely annoyed. More than a dozen parents had already staged a sit-in at the office door. They decided to protest against Hanmen Training Class's actions in this way. Inside the office, the two on-duty security guards were very anxious.
With the media team having arrived, they were unable to handle the situation unfolding before them, so they felt utterly helpless and innocent.
As the situation was about to escalate, a call from the higher-ups finally came.
"Alright, alright!" The security guard hurried out and shouted, "We've got a message from our leadership!"
Whoosh...
The dozen or so parents stood up at once.
The TV station's reporters followed suit, aiming their cameras at the security guard, who appeared quite proud. He patted his chest and said, "The leadership has spoken. If anyone has any complaints about Hanmen Training Class, they can choose to drop out, and this month's tuition will be fully refunded."
Whoa...
The scene erupted into an uproar.
"That's... That's outrageous!"
"Drop out! Drop out!"
A group of parents became furiously embarrassed, fuming with nowhere to channel their anger. They had unexpectedly faced firm opposition instead of compromise. These parents, capable of affording a thousand yuan a month for tuition, were clearly not short of money. What they needed was an attitude from the training class, but to their surprise, the response was ruthlessly firm.
"Those who want to withdraw, line up." The security guard hurriedly said, "Come in one by one to register. Come back tomorrow to collect your money."
At this moment, not a single one of these angry parents went in to register. Instead, they stood at the door protesting, objecting. However, such actions were utterly ineffective, and, having no other choice, the parents could only turn to the media, seeking help from reporters.
Soon, not just local TV station reporters, but even those from the provincial stations rushed over for interviews.
With the involvement of media reporters, the news spread quickly. Initially, only a few parents knew, but later it became common knowledge. Even so, Hanmen Training Class's attitude remained unchanged, which greatly dissatisfied the parents.
Capable parents quickly got in touch with the Education Bureau themselves, hoping it could pressure Hanmen Training Class. After all, the college entrance exam was only two months away, and it seemed quite inappropriate to change teachers at this time.
The Education Bureau also received messages from various sources.
"Director Wang," the secretary knocked and entered.
"What is it?" Wang Quanxi looked at the secretary. He had just hung up a phone call, a call from an old classmate inquiring about the situation with Hanmen Training Class.
"We've just received several complaint calls, saying Hanmen Training Class changed teachers without the parents' consent, what do you think..." The secretary looked gravely at Wang Quanxi and then said, "Is this matter... under the jurisdiction of our Education Bureau?"
"This issue again?" Wang Quanxi frowned.
It wasn't just one inquiry about Hanmen Training Class that he had received, but two, one of which was from a friend at the tax office. The other was from his old classmate. Although their approach was indirect, he could feel they were here for this specific issue.
"Yes!" the secretary nodded.
"Alright, I know," Wang Quanxi nodded, holding a cigarette in his hand, his brow furrowed. He hadn't expected Hanmen Training Class to disturb the Education Bureau.
About Hanmen Training Class, Wang Quanxi had some knowledge, aware that it was Li Hengzhong 'endorsing' it from behind the scenes. So, Wang Quanxi decided to contact Li Hengzhong to hear his opinion.
After some thought, he picked up the phone and called Li Hengzhong.
Li Hengzhong answered the call and got straight to the point, "Old Wang, you're calling about the Hanmen matter, aren't you?"
"Haha, you're sharp!" Wang Quanxi laughed and said, "That's right, I'm calling about this very issue. You already know about it, correct?"
"I know!" Li Hengzhong nodded.
"It's neither a big deal nor a small one," Wang Quanxi took a drag of his cigarette and then said, "So, I want to hear your opinion on this."
"Old Wang, honestly, I don't think the Education Bureau needs to muddy the waters with this matter!" Li Hengzhong chuckled and said, "After all, this is someone else's business. Hanmen Training Class is not an institution under the Education Bureau's name. It's just a training class, and even if they really did change teachers, that can be understood. It's not like they took the money and ran."
"You have a point!" Wang Quanxi nodded and said, "But the parents have a lot of complaints now."
"So what?" Li Hengzhong laughed, "Hanmen Training Class will surely have a way to deal with it. Trust them."
"Okay then!" Wang Quanxi nodded.
After hanging up the phone, Li Hengzhong sat in his chair, looking out the window with a smile playing at the corners of his mouth.
He knew the situation with Hanmen Training Class like the back of his hand. Moreover, he also knew who Li Yunpeng was. The reason he helped Xiao Han was that he understood Li Yunpeng was a teacher of great talent. When Li Yunpeng went to Hanmen Training Class, Li Hengzhong was quite surprised at first, but then he thought about it and felt that Xiao Han had made a smart move.
Before, he was worried about what would happen to Hanmen Training Class after the college entrance exam, but now a suitable candidate had finally appeared.
Li Hengzhong smiled and said, "You cunning kid, let's see how you play your next move!"
......
The situation had blown up. A lot of parents had come knocking, creating chaos. Clearly, two security guards could no longer hold back the group of furious parents.
With no other option, Li Dapang, as the person in charge of Hanmen Training Class, had to step in personally.
With the arrival of Li Dapang, all the parents immediately surrounded him. Li Dapang had a loud voice, "What's going on? What do you all want to do!"
"Now that you're here, solve this problem," the parents yelled at him one after another.
"Right, settle the matter. Don't leave until it's resolved!"
"Fuck!" Li Dapang cursed, angrily rolling up his sleeves, and then said, "Want to fight, do you? I tell you, we already provided a solution. Those who are not satisfied, get your money back right now, no need to wait till tomorrow!"
"We don't want a refund; we just want an explanation."
"Right, we want an explanation."
"We must have a reasonable explanation. Our only demand is for the previous teachers to resume teaching, and for this Li Yunpeng to get lost!"
The parents were indignant; they seemed to have already concluded that the teacher who wore a mask was the truly excellent one. In their eyes, only a superb teacher would need to wear a mask, teaching not for fame or fortune, and not deigning to know anybody or seek recognition.
