Chapter 153 Origin Point

Under the command of the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King Li Jing, the armies of the Heavenly Court launched a full-scale attack on Flower-Fruit Mountain. The Demon Clan of Flower-Fruit Mountain were not about to show weakness either. They rushed out from the mountain gates to meet the Heavenly armies head-on.

Above the clouds, mid-air, on the ground, and between the mountains and lakes, battlefields erupted everywhere. In an instant, the entire space between heaven and earth plunged into a sea of flames.

In the depths of Heavenly Dragon Valley, within the Dragon Nest.

After entering the Dragon Nest, Sun Wukong and his companions encountered numerous traps and mechanisms along the way. After all, it was the lair of the Heavenly Dragon Clan, essentially their final treasure vault. Its importance was probably even greater than that of the Heavenly Emperor's Treasure Vault in the Heavenly Court, so some defensive measures were to be expected.

Fortunately, Sun Wukong was not alone in venturing into the Dragon Nest's treasure vault. He was accompanied by the Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan and Ying Long, Ying Tian. Ying Long, being one of the three great Divine Dragons of the Ancient Dragon Clan, was a tremendous help.

While the various mechanisms and traps within would have been extremely difficult for any other intruders to solve, for Ying Tian, they were nothing short of simple. Along the way, Sun Wukong and the Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan were basically onlookers, waiting as Ying Tian dismantled one mechanism after another, allowing them to pass through with ease.

Despite the ease of passage, both Sun Wukong and the Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan were well aware that they were benefiting from the light cast by Ying Long, Ying Tian. Otherwise, it would have taken them who knows how much time and effort to get through these obstacles—perhaps not even in twenty or thirty years would they have reached the deepest part of the Dragon Nest!

"Where is the Chaos Dragon Divine Armor?"

In the depths of the Dragon Nest, this place was a realm of Chaos Qi. Aside from heaven and earth, there was nothing else here, everything preserved just as it was when Chaos first split. The clear Qi rose to form heaven, while the turbid Qi sank to form earth. The boundary between the clear and turbid was not particularly distinct.

Sun Wukong had been using his Void-Breaking Divine Eye from the moment he entered this realm of Chaos, even activating it to the Third Phase with the Void-Breaking Heavy Pupils, but despite carefully inspecting the space repeatedly for a long while, he found nothing—no sign of heaven or earth, clear Qi or turbid Qi!

"It's right here!"

"Ah? Here? There's nothing here!"

Sun Wukong was astonished. His Void-Breaking Divine Eye hadn't seen anything—could there really be something in the world that it couldn't penetrate?

"It's not over here either!"

Ying Long, Ying Tian cracked a mysterious smile, "Do you know why our Dragon Race is called 'Heavenly Dragon' and not 'Earth Dragon' or 'Sea Dragon'?"

Sun Wukong and Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan shook their heads.

"All dragons by nature can ride clouds and fog. But 'Heavenly' in our name doesn't refer to the sky, it refers to the Heavenly Dao!"

Ying Long, Ying Tian stopped being secretive and explained to Sun Wukong and Mu Chenxuan, "When Chaos first divided, the clear Qi rose to become the blue sky, and the turbid Qi sank to become the great earth.

At the dawn of the Heavenly Dao, the first Ancestral Dragon of our Heavenly Dragon Clan was born from the yet undivided strand of Chaos Qi within the Heavenly Dao—the Ancestral Dragon, my eldest brother. Afterward, he continued to harness the Power of the Heavenly Dao to bring forth my second brother, Candle Dragon, and me, one after another.

The three of us were born with the ability to open up our own small worlds. The three dragons together opened up the Heavenly Dragon Valley in the Ancient Primeval times, creating the ancestral land of our Heavenly Dragon Clan. This place is the original space when Heavenly Dragon Valley first took shape."

"Well now, hold on a second, Ying Tian—you've said so much, but does it have anything to do with whether or not the Chaos Dragon Divine Armor is here?"

Sun Wukong and the Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan listened intently but were utterly baffled. Ying Long, Ying Tian had spoken at length without mentioning a word about the Chaos Dragon Divine Armor. Sun Wukong couldn't help but interject. He was here to obtain the Chaos Dragon Divine Armor, not to learn about the legends of the Heavenly Dragon Clan.

"What's the rush, we're just getting to it! Do you want to hear it or not?"

Clearly annoyed by Sun Wukong cutting off his enthusiasm, Ying Long, Ying Tian glared at Sun Wukong. Didn't this guy realize how rude it was to interrupt someone's moment of enjoyment?

"Of course, I want to hear it. Continue, please!"

Sun Wukong shrank his neck and laughed awkwardly.

"Where did I leave off?"

Ying Long, Ying Tian snorted and was about to continue but stumbled, hesitating for a long while before he appeared somewhat at a loss.

"You were talking about this space being the original form of Heavenly Dragon Valley when it first took shape..."

The Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan reminded softly.

"Right, right, that was it."

Ying Long Ying Tian thought back, clapping his hands and said, "When Heavenly Dragon Valley was first established, it was just like this, with the clear Qi as heaven and the turbid Qi as the earth, just like the state of the world right after the Primordial Ancient Times had formed following the Heaven-Opening.

Later on, it slowly developed into the Dragon Nest, and the surrounding Dragon Island and Cloud Sea also gradually took shape. It's just a pity that if it had continued to develop this way, Heavenly Dragon Valley might very well have evolved into a second Ancient Primeval.

But then the Witch-Demon Great War happened, our eldest brother, the Ancestral Dragon, perished, and our second brother, Ao Tian, also sunk into the Sea of Blood. The expansion of Heavenly Dragon Valley thus came to a halt, and has remained the same until now…"

"Sorry, Wukong here doesn't mean to interrupt your reminiscing, but isn't it about time to get to the main point? The Chaos Dragon Divine Armor and the Ancestral Dragon Pearl, where are they? Ao Tian is still waiting for the Ancestral Dragon Pearl to reconstruct his physical body!"

Sun Wukong was feeling frustrated, were Ying Long Ying Tian's words ever going to reach the point? He had dished out a whole heap of irrelevant past events instead, and hadn't even touched upon where exactly the Chaos Dragon Divine Armor was located in this space. What was the point of mentioning all those messy past events? It was just a waste of time!

"Yeah, second brother is still waiting!"

Interrupted by Sun Wukong again, Ying Long Ying Tian felt greatly annoyed and was about to lose his temper, but then he was reminded by Sun Wukong—Ao Tian! Ao Tian was still waiting in the Qiankun Bag for the Ancestral Dragon Pearl to reconstruct his physical body. It indeed wouldn't be right to delay any further!

"Within this space is a node, an Origin Point we three brothers created when we first founded Heavenly Dragon Valley. It's similar to the Borderlands of the Three Realms. The Chaos Dragon Divine Armor and the Ancestral Dragon Pearl are both within this Origin Point."

An Origin Point? Where?

Sun Wukong raised his eyebrows and began to inspect his surroundings closely again. The Void-Breaking Divine Eye had been pushed to its limit, the dark gold triangle-shaped Heavy Pupil slowly rotating in his eyes as he meticulously swept across the entire space without missing an inch. At last, Sun Wukong's eyes lit up; he had found the Origin Point that Ying Long Ying Tian had described!

"Swoosh!"

With a flash, Sun Wukong shot straight up into the sky, reaching mid-air, and pointed at a spot in the void, asking, "Is this the Origin Point? How do we enter it?"

"What Origin Point? I don't see anything,"

Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan was utterly confused, his gaze fixed on the location Sun Wukong pointed out, only to see nothingness. What was Sun Wukong talking about? Why couldn't he see anything?

Ying Long Ying Tian's expression, however, changed dramatically, looking at Sun Wukong with surprise; or more accurately, at Sun Wukong's eyes. He had long felt there was something extraordinary about Sun Wukong's eyes, and now it seemed he was right. This monkey could actually see the Origin Point!

Flying up beside Sun Wukong, Ying Long Ying Tian looked at the Origin Point Sun Wukong was pointing at, then back at Sun Wukong, and nodded, "You're right, this is the Origin Point. The Chaos Dragon Divine Armor and the Ancestral Dragon Pearl are both inside it. Sun Wukong, your eyes are quite impressive to be able to spot that! But even if you spot it, it's useless.

Only we three brothers from the Heavenly Dragon Clan are able to open the node of this Origin Point. Others, even if they know where it is, can't enter..."

Before Ying Long Ying Tian could finish, two streaks of golden light shot out from Sun Wukong's eyes and struck the Origin Point. Suddenly, the entire Origin Point expanded dramatically, revealing a palm-sized vortex visible to the naked eye. Seizing the opportunity, Sun Wukong transformed into a streak of golden light and dove right in.

Without the support of the golden light from Sun Wukong's eyes, the vortex quickly shrank back down to its original size, becoming nearly invisible once again.

"Where's Brother Wukong?"

Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan was stupefied, what on earth was happening? Where had Sun Wukong gone? Was the vortex that had appeared a Spatial Black Hole?

"This monkey… what a freak!"

Ying Long Ying Tian was at a loss for words. This space node had been created by the combined effort of the three great Divine Dragons, and the space they were in, permeated by clear and turbid Qi, had developed from the Origin Point and then gradually expanded to form the Dragon Nest outside of the Dragon Valley.

Supposedly, only the three great Divine Dragons had the ability to open the entrance to the Origin Point, but Sun Wukong had forcibly opened a small gap and entered!

What secrets did this monkey's eyes hold?

Inside the Origin Point, a streak of golden light penetrated the vortex, manifesting Sun Wukong's form as he looked around. The area was about thirty feet in diameter, a closed space filled with chaos, replete with pervasive Chaos Qi, just like before Heaven and Earth were opened during Ancient Times.

Sun Wukong's Primordial Force inside his body was Chaos Primordial Force, making him highly sensitive to Chaos Qi, so he immediately confirmed this.

However, what caught Sun Wukong's attention were not the surrounding Chaos Qi, but the two objects floating in the space: an ancient-looking battle armor inscribed with Great Dao Runes, and a human head-sized sphere emitting chaotic-colored light with the phantom of a Divine Dragon faintly visible around the sphere as its center.

It was the Chaos Dragon Divine Armor and the Ancestral Dragon Pearl!

Whoosh!

A golden dragon emerged from the Qiankun Bag strapped around Sun Wukong's waist, as the light flashed—It was Ao Tian! Perhaps due to the spatial constraints, Ao Tian's Golden Dragon Body was only about two zhang long. As soon as he appeared, he charged fervently towards the Ancestral Dragon Pearl, coiling his body around it, his face brimming with joy.

"It's the Dragon Ball! It truly is big brother Ancestral Dragon's Dragon Ball!"
