However, just as Lucian was about to ask further, a sudden mechanical sound filled the kitchen, immediately catching his attention. It was a low, rhythmic thump, almost like a heartbeat.
Intrigued by the sound, Lucian turned to his right, where the sound resonated.
There, between the polished countertops and industrial-sized oven, he saw it — a mechanical creature, which he had only witnessed in sci-fi movies. Its form was both awe-inspiring and oddly adorable. It had the head of a fox, with bright orange eyes, like molten metal. Its body was covered in a shiny coat of silver fur. The silver did not look just for show, it looked like a suit of armor.
The creature's skin, where it was visible through the gaps of its fur, and the two erect fox ears, were the same lustrous silver, giving it a futuristic appearance.
But the most striking feature of the creature was its nine bushy, silver tails, each swaying independently with a life of its own.
As Lucian's eyes traveled up the creature's tail, he noticed that each sword-like tip had a small hole shaped like a hexagon.
Of course, what stood not far away from Lucian was none other than a futuristic Nine-Tailed Fox robot.
