Primordial Draconic Incubus With A Gourmet Chef System

Chapter 141 Betrayal In The Shadows

Chapter 141 Betrayal In The Shadows

[Why not form a Magical Beast Pact with someone who appreciates you, plays with you, talks with you, and cares for you?]

Osiris blinked his eyes in confusion. A Magical Beast Pact with Lily was something he had not considered. His loyalty to his Master was ingrained in his head ever since the day he received his physical body and his Soul reshaped to match his physical body.

[Think about it, Osiris, You deserve someone who truly cares about you. Lily is that person. Forming a Magical Beast Pact with her would bind you to her, allowing you to communicate directly with her, without needing to learn Arcadian.]

[Just nod your head, and I will complete the process of binding you two together. I will even explain to Lucian of your decision.] The System continued.

After a moment of pondering, Osiris nodded his head.

[Good.] The System said in its usual robotic tone. Then, a moment later, it unleashed its Soul Power to draw a Magical Beast Pact underneath Lily and Osiris'. Once it was done, it continued, [Spill a drop of your Human Immortal Grade blood on the Magical Beast Pact.]

Osiris did not waste any time as he bit his tongue slightly, drawing a single drop of his Human Immortal Blood, letting it fall on the glowing formation below his feet.

Instantly, as the blood touched the Magical Beast Pact, it glowed a bright light, encapsulating Osiris, and Lily, who was thinking about her Big Brother Lucian. Before either of them could formulate another thought, they fell unconscious.

Osiris' eight-foot tall body fell heavily to the ground, kicking up dirt and creating a small crater below. At the same time, Lily's wings dematerialized and she also fell to the ground.

Soon, invisible to all, except to the System, the Magical Beast Pact underneath their bodies shrank until it was the size of an adult's palm. Then it flew into Lily's forehead and submerged into her Soul.

At that precise moment, the atmosphere grew increasingly chilly, and ethereal music began playing in the surroundings.

'I don't get paid enough for this…' The System sighed as it listened to the ethereal music and continued in a depressed tone, 'Actually, I don't get paid at all. How depressing.'

"Hervy, why do you have that frown on your face? Are you having a relapse after not sleeping until morning in the Pleasure Pavilion?" Garrett joked as he playfully elbowed Hervy in the gut.

"Oi, fuck off!" Hervy shoved his arm away.

"I'm thinking about where I've heard the name White-Robed Old Man from."

Hearing this, Garrett and the rest of Lion's Liver furrowed their brows.

"The White-Robed Old Man? Is that a title?" Garrett chuckled. "Are you talking about Clan Head Yu from Harmony City? He's old and wears a white robe. Hahaha."

Hervy frowned and pointed at the menu. "Didn't you read the menu ingredients?"

"No… I stopped reading the ingredients, ever since I read the ingredients for the Siren's Melody Poached Egg." Garrett said honestly.

Hearing their Captain's words, Lane, Cody, and Coby nodded slightly.

As for Hervy, he wanted to curse, but stopped, since he could understand his Captain's decision.

"Is the White-Robed Old Man famous?" Lane asked Hervy.

"... How should I know?" Hervy looked at Lane as if he was an idiot and continued, "Didn't I say I don't remember where I heard his name from."

'...'

After a moment of speechlessness, Lane said, "If you don't remember him he's probably a nobody."

"That makes sense." Hervy shrugged, feeling his words made sense. With that, he stopped caring about the so-called White-Robed Old Man and shut the menu.

"Anyway, it's nice seeing a menu with actual ingredients… for once." Hervy chuckled after a while.

Hearing this, Garrett frowned and elbowed Hervy on the side of his gut.

"Can't you keep your mouth shut without saying something offensive?" Garrett asked as he looked at Lucian through the serving hatch, hoping he did not hear their conversation. From his lack of reaction, he sighed in relief and looked back at Hervy with an expression of, 'What the Hell do I do with you?'.

As Garrett felt the urge to sigh, a fruity fragrance drifted out of the kitchen accompanied by the sound of a door opening then closing.

As Lucian walked out of the kitchen the aroma only intensified.

"Ohh~ It smells good."A faint blush appeared on Hervy's face as he sniffed the fruity fragrance.

Ignoring the murmurs and exclamations, Lucian calmly walked toward the table occupied by the members from Lion's Liver.

When Garm saw where Lucian was walking toward, he frowned. "Chef Lucian, are you not going to serve me first?"

Without even turning around or pausing his footsteps, Lucian indifferently said, "My restaurant follows the rule that those who order first get served first."

[Host, shall I add that rule to the menu?] The System, although it was focused on Lily and Osiris, was still connected to Lucian; therefore, it saw and heard the conversion.

[Yes.] Lucian replied.

Instantly, a new rule appeared on the restaurant's menu.

'Seventh Rule:

Orders are served in the order they are taken.'

Garm's expression froze and he started circulating his Mana; however, before he could unleash it, Belieth's voice sounded in his head.

[Damn, Fatty. Do you have anything in that thick skull of yours? What did this Sovereign tell you? This Sovereign gave you one job, yet you can't even accomplish it!]

[But-]

[No buts! Shut up and retrieve your Mana back into your Mana Core. If you dare unleash it, this Sovereign will forcefully shatter your Soul and take over your body even if I have to shatter half my Soul in the process.]

Garm subtly gritted his teeth as he brought his Mana back into his Mana Core.

Meanwhile, after witnessing the small exchange between Lucian and Garm, Garrett and the rest of Lion's Liver reacted differently.

"Chef Lucian, please serve Sir Garm first," Garriet said hurriedly to Lucian.

"We don't mind waiting," Lane added in his usual cold tone, but even he could not help but stutter when he spoke.

The twins and Hervy hastily nodded to their words. Continue reading at empire

They were not Lucian, who could remain indifferent in the face of a Mana King Realm Mage. They were mere ants compared to a giant like him.

Lucian frowned after hearing their words and coldly replied, "If you give Garm your cups of Berry Blast, you will be violating my fourth rule, no customer can eat or drink from another customer's plate, bowl, or cup. If you want to be blacklisted go ahead."

At Lucian's voice faded, the fourth Rule of Transcendence was updated.

[The Fourth Rule of Transcendence has been updated.] The System announced.

Meanwhile, Garrett sighed and apologetically looked at Garm, he bowed as he said respectfully, "Sir Garm, please forgive us, we can't afford to be blacklisted from Transcendence. I hope you can find it in your big heart to forgive us."

"It's fine. I also don't want to be blacklisted from such delicious food." Garm waved his hand dismissively. After Belieth berated him, his mind had cleared.

Now, even if Garrett and the others offered him their food, he would be an idiot to take it. He would only be jumping to his death by doing so.

The fourth rule of Transcendence, although it did not explicitly state Garrett could not give him food and he could not receive it, but if he could not eat it, what would be the use of taking his food? It was definitely a devious rule created by an equally devious owner.

"Your five cups of Berry Blast, please enjoy." Lucian served the five glasses of Berry Blast and then returned to his kitchen.

The beautiful appearance of the Berry Blast was like a piece of artwork, attracting everyone's attention to their table.

Gulps and rumbling of stomachs resounded thereafter.

Upon smelling the fragrant aroma of the Berry Blast again, James and Albert slightly regretted not having ordered the Berry Blast.

Hervy was the first to take a sip of the Berry Blast. The fruity liquid with a slight viscosity felt refreshing to the tongue. As he swallowed, the coolness trailed down his body until he felt a refreshing coldness from head to toe. More surprisingly, after he swallowed, he felt his Mana Pool slightly increase. It was a marginal increase, but an increase nonetheless.

The others from Lion's Liver also had similarly satisfied smiles on their faces as they savored the fruity concoction.

"This is perfect during a hot day! Chef Lucian, you're a genius!" Hervy let out a satisfied burp and said to Lucian, who had just walked out five more Berry Blast, stunning the others in the restaurant into speechlessness.

In actuality, Lucian had created fourteen Berry Blasts at the same time. The beverage was easy to make and thanks to the System, he had received a blender that could make even twenty Berry Blasts.
