Novel's Extra: I Awakened The Strongest Physique From The Start

CHAPTER 147 - Destruction Element.

CHAPTER 147 - Destruction Element.

Destruction. It is an element not many know about.

In history, there had been only one being capable of controlling this element. A being so strong that just knowing that it exists means that you are strong.

Any ability related to that element is dangerous, as the destruction element could destroy anything and everything.

However, people around the world—the ones who knew about it—didn't really care much to share knowledge because it was something no one could acquire but fear.

They were relieved that only one being could control it and no one else, unaware that now there were two beings capable of doing that.

Alex was the second being. He could do it because he had the bloodline of the destruction dragon, the first being, running in his veins.

But just because he had it didn't mean he could control it.

He wasn't a dragon. He was way weaker than those monstrous beings. Dragons are star connection realm experts from the moment they are born, but Alex wasn't.

Alex had to feel the pain of having his own body break from the moment he started using this ability.

'Ghhhh!' Growling on the inside, Alex grabbed another assassin with his destruction-coated hand, turning them into dust.

'I wish I could just get rid of this pain,' he thought, finally turning to the only green portal left in the field.

"Come out now," Alex growled, his body trembling from the constant pain he was feeling—something even his healing breath couldn't cope with.

He also glanced at the fight between Zahara and the assassins.

[She's doing good.]

Sophie commented before he could say something, making him nod his head.

Alex could see eight illusionary stars on Zahara's chest, shimmering brightly, as she continuously attacked the assassins, making use of the fact that they couldn't harm her.

The fact that the assassins' attacks would just bounce back was being used by her as well. She was redirecting those attacks on others.

'She will have only one assassin left to fight by the time I'm done here,' Alex noted as he saw Zahara hardly keeping up with the one-star, star-connection realm assassin.

Zahara's whole body was burning with fiery energy, burning the air itself, but the problem was that this assassin could dodge her attacks. Alex was sure that she could defeat all of them, especially now that she knew their weakness.

Step-Step

The sound of steps made Alex turn his attention back to Number 10, who had now walked out of the portal, his hand raised in surrender.

"Man, I surrender—" Number 10 shrugged in defeat, his head lowering as he sighed, but before he could complete his words, Alex was already in front of him.

"FUCK!" In panic, the guy quickly stepped aside, leaving Alex sliding in the same direction.

'What the hell?' For the first time, Number 10 felt that he wasn't fast—especially the next second when he felt a searing pain in his left arm.

"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" He roared in agony as he saw his arm getting destroyed, vanishing slowly without leaving a single drop of blood behind.

'When did he...?' He thought between the pain, crouching on the ground before he recalled what had happened to his subordinates.

"Fuck!" With a fierce growl, he slashed his own arm. "Ghh!"

His arm fell to the ground with a thud as he quickly jumped into another portal he just created.

'I can't trick this guy!' Enduring the pain, he concluded as he knew that his surrendering play had failed, but before he could jump into the portal, Alex wooshed in front of him, his destruction-coated arm touching the portal.

"You're not going anywhere," Alex said, his voice calm yet dripping with authority as the portal fizzled and vanished.

Alex was too fast. Now that he was using his wings to propel himself, he was almost equal to Number 10's speed, taking the guy by surprise.

'Shit!' Number 10 jumped away in panic, his gaze turning to the arm he threw a second ago, but it had already vanished.

With no choice left, Number 10 coated multiple daggers with his most potent poison energy, expending a lot of his mana, and threw them at Alex, hoping to stop him, even if just for a second.

Alex, however, just scoffed. With a single step forward, the energy radiating from him expanded outward, forming a visible sphere of violet light around him, which evaporated those daggers in an instant.

The leader's eyes darted toward the retreating Zahara and his subordinates, who had engaged in battle. For a fleeting moment, he considered calling them back, but Alex's sheer presence made him hesitate.

"What... are you?" the leader asked, his tone betraying the tremor of fear.

Alex's lips curled into a faint, humorless smile. "I am the consequence of your arrogance," he replied, raising a hand as violet tendrils of energy coiled around his fingers like living serpents.

With a flick of his wrist, a wave of destructive energy burst forth, evaporating everything in its path. Trees, rocks, and even the remnants of the assassins' green portals vanished into nothingness. The leader barely managed to leap aside, avoiding the wave by mere inches.

"Impossible!" the leader hissed, beads of sweat forming on his brow. "Nothing should be able to erase space itself!"

Alex didn't respond. He took another step forward, his movements slow but deliberate, each one sending shockwaves through the ground. The violet energy coating his body grew denser, forming a protective barrier that shimmered like liquid fire. Anything that touched it—air, dust, even stray energy particles—disintegrated instantly.

"You wanted to test me, didn't you?" Alex asked, his tone devoid of emotion. "Well, here I am."

The leader gritted his teeth, realizing that this wasn't a fight he could win with conventional means. He launched toward Alex, daggers coated in poison and spatial energy aimed at his heart. He had tried it a second ago and failed, yet he still did it.

He hoped Alex's barrier would've weakened after blocking the last attack, but as his blades made contact with the violet barrier, they dissolved into nothingness, taking part of the leader's gloves with them.

"Gah!" He cried, pulling back his hands and staring in horror at the seared edges of his armor. The destructive energy had bypassed his defenses entirely, leaving his fingers burned and bleeding.

"It's over," Alex said, his voice a low growl. He raised his hand toward the leader, the violet energy condensing into a pulsating sphere at his palm, shooting it at Number 10, who rolled on the ground, dodging the attack by an inch.

Alex could see Number 10 preparing for another desperate assault, but he didn't give the guy the chance. Spreading his wings, now glowing with the same destructive energy, Alex launched himself into the air, ascending high above the battlefield.

The leader's eyes widened as he watched Alex rise higher and higher, his form a blazing beacon of violet light against the darkening sky. "What is he doing?" The leader muttered, dread pooling in his stomach.

When Alex stopped his ascent, he hovered in place, his body radiating enough energy to make the air around him shimmer and distort. He closed his eyes, and the violet glow spread to his throat, illuminating his entire form.

"No..." the leader whispered, his voice trembling. He could feel it—the sheer, unimaginable power Alex was about to unleash.

"Destruction..." Alex began, his voice resonating across the battlefield, reaching Zahara and the assassins who all paused their battle to look up at him.

Number 10's mind reeled. He could tell that this attack was probably the last attack from Alex, so he quickly formed another poison portal under him, thinking of using it to teleport away.

'Once this attack ends, I will kill you.' Glaring at Alex, he jumped into the portal.

"... Breath."

Alex, on the other hand, unleashed the full force of his destructive energy, a colossal beam of violet light erupting from his mouth as soon as his words ended.

Number 10 jumped out of another portal some distance away from the place he was standing before.

The next instant, even before he could calm his nerves, dread clawed at his heart as he turned around, only to see Alex's eyes focused on his as the breath attack tore through the air, obliterating everything in its path—trees, rocks, and the very ground itself.

The leader barely had time to scream before the beam consumed him, his body evaporating into nothingness.

The beam continued its rampage, carving a massive crater into the earth before finally dissipating. Alex descended slowly, his wings retracting as he landed on the edge of the newly formed wasteland. His body trembled, and blood seeped from the corners of his mouth, but his expression remained calm.

"It's done," he said softly, his voice barely audible. He had found out Number 10's weakness as well. The guy was supposed to form portals in his line of sight, so the place his gaze moves is where he would move with the portal.

'Haha,' he chuckled inwardly despite the pain—so agonizing that he couldn't even speak—he was feeling.

He just laid there, enjoying the feeling of victory before his eyes closed, feeling his fatigue catching up.
