Chapter 501 Cruelty Part 2

Chapter 501 Cruelty Part 2

"Don't worry, I'll save everyone after I'm done with the scouting," I patted her head to calm her emotions down.

She paused for a moment, and look me in the eye.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me. I'm not usually like this," she apologized, releasing her grip on my clothes.

"It's alright, what you're going through is normal," I responded with a warm smile, hoping to lighten the mood.

"Do you think I'm useless ?" she asked, her voice filled with doubt .

This moment of weakness was affecting her more than I had realized.

"You're always the one everyone relies on, aren't you? The strongest, the most talented. That's why you always keep up your tough face, isn't it? You can't afford to let anyone see your vulnerable side," I remarked, sharing my observation.

"I don't know what you're talking about," she denied my words, but her bashful expression gave her away.

"You don't have to act tough with me. I'm more powerful, smarter, and better in every possible way. No matter how tough you try to appear, you're still vulnerable and weak in my eyes," I responded confidently.

"And it's not your fault. I don't think anyone can even come close to me. I hate to admit it , but I'm just too perfect, " I added with a playful tone.

As expected, she furrowed her eyebrows.

"Aren't you a bit narcissistic?" she bit back.

"No, I'm not narcissistic at all. In fact, I'm quite the humble type," I replied with a grin.

"If you're the definition of humble in your world, then everyone there must be douchebags and assholes," she rolled her eyes.

"Don't be like that, I'm really humble, you know," I defended myself. Ironically, I wasn't lying at all, power-wise.

"Yeah, a narcissistic person would always say that," she sighed, looking away from me.

Seeing that she was not backing out, I decided to shut up.

'So this is why dealing with women normally is so tiring,?' I chuckled inwardly .

This was the first time I had actually made an effort to understand a woman.

Most of the time, I just imposed my ideas and decisions onto them, so now I was struggling to figure out what to do.

But I didn't dislike this feeling at all. In fact, this kind of dynamic was more exciting and natural.

Sure, I could control women, lie to them, manipulate their impressions of me.

But all of those things felt too boring. I craved some challenge in life, and she was providing it for me with her antics.

"You two, I don't recognize your faces," a voice interrupted our moment.

When we turned to the source of the sound, we saw a beautiful girl who appeared to be in her twenties.

She had a petite body, standing at around 5'4", with short hair and piercing eyes that complemented her long eyelashes.

Shao Mi, unsure of what to do, stepped back and looked at me expectantly, as if anticipating that I would magically resolve all our troubles.

Technically, she was right.

I did have the ability to handle the situation effortlessly. However, with all the time in the world and no rush, it seemed better to play it cool for now.

"We're survivors from Earth, and was just recently got recruited," I answered casually, ensuring to display my telekinesis and invisible hands to prove my affiliation with the Zol Clan.

After witnessing my powers and assessing us, she contemplated for a moment before finally speaking.

"I see, so you're from the outside, huh," she replied.

Her remark confirmed my suspicion. Read new chapters at empire

There were still many surviving members of the Zol Clan on Earth who had gone into hiding after the last Clan Leader's death and the defeat in the war against humanity and other Gifteds.

Encountering unfamiliar faces here must already be a normal occurrence, now that they are actively searching for survivors.

"Hey, we're new here. How about you tell us more about this place?" I initiated the conversation.

This girl didn't seem so bad, both in terms of attitude and beauty.

Although she spoke with a somewhat boyish tone, and her demeanor was rough, there was still an charming side about her.

And while she might not be as stunning as Shao Mi or Zayen, her black hair and eyes were still quite tempting, and pleasing to the eyes.

Her petite body was also a plus, especially since I have a preference for girls with small.. Let's just say "Bite"

The girl contemplated for a moment before answering, "Alright, I plan to drink some tea, so you can come with me. I also have some questions about the outside,"

She guided us to a small tea house where there weren't many people.

The servers were all humans, but they were somehow different from what we'd seen before.

They wore clothing reminiscent of ancient times, with styles resembling traditional kimonos. Their hairstyles also appeared old-fashioned.

The girl noticed my curiosity and offered an explanation.

"They're locals here. They're the descendants of the first human slaves in this place, so they enjoy some privileges due to their long history of service to our clan," she clarified.

"I see, " I replied, my tone curious as I scrutinized them from head to toe.

"What ? Don't tell me you want to torture them ?" The girl raised her eyebrows.

"Why would you think that?" I asked, puzzled by her accusation.

I wasn't so bored as to start torturing people just because I felt like it.

Perhaps in the future, if I ever grew weary of role-playing , but for now, I was still enjoying it.

"That's because you men are a bunch of sadistic psychos," she sighed, shaking her head. It was evident that she harbored some deep-seated issues with men.

"Isn't that true for all of us?" I asked, sensing I might be on the brink of a revelation.

"What do you mean by 'all'? Girls in our clan are born with a normal mind. We don't have sadistic tendencies like you do," she clarified.

'Oh, that explains a lot,' I mused, nodding in understanding as the pieces started to fall into place.

I've been wondering why Zayen was so sweet and caring despite having the sadistic blood of Zol Clan in her.

At first, I thought it was because she was born from a Human mother, but that wasn't the case at all.

'Maybe I should spare the women?…Except for that Zelly. I'll kill her for sure,' I contemplated silently to myself.
