Chapter 680: Chapter 682: She is Mine (3)
“You!——” Du Sui was furious, and while speaking, security had already taken their positions. Yu Sixing immediately ordered, “Miss, please leave. Do not disturb our shoot. If there’s anything, discuss it after we finish shooting!”
“Hmph!” Du Sui completely ignored him, glaring at them before turning and walking away.
She was indeed extremely angry, but her abrupt departure also hinted that she wanted Huang Mi to chase after her to appease her.
Huang Mi wasn’t known for being incredibly considerate, but when she threw a tantrum, he would at least soften up and try to coax her. But this time, she stormed on the set and slapped Xue Feifei out of nowhere, ticking him off. In all his years in the industry, barring the time he argued when breaking up with his ex, no such incident had occurred again. Du Sui could act as she wished privately, but when it spilled onto his workspace, how could he not be irate?
Besides, he’s not the same rookie anymore. After being pampered by managers, assistants, fans, and the industry for so long, he couldn’t just stoop to apologise — especially when he did nothing wrong.
“Or, should Huang, the Film Emperor, go apologise?” Just then, Qin Zhiyou teased him.
Huang Mi looked around, then at Xue Feifei’s slapped face, and frowned. The next scenes are group shots. Fortunately, Feifei had no part in those scenes. She could soothe her reddened and puffy face. With so many people waiting on him, how could he simply turn around and chase after Du Sui?
“No need. I’ll do it after I finish today’s scenes.”
Even though Huang Mi said this, he still had his assistant send her a message. As the set was being reorganised, Feifei was led aside. The assistant observed, “Wow, even if you ice your face, make-up won’t be able to hide these handprints.”
It was then that Yu Sixing interjected, “You guys are really making things difficult for me. You, come with me, go rest on the side and don’t disturb their work.”
Feifei nodded. She hadn’t really felt the pain in her face because of the anger, but now, as Sixing pointed it out, her face started to sting.
Lu Weixi quickly took her aside while Yu Sixing was about to follow them when Qin Zhiyou tugged at his sleeve.
As Sixing turned around, he saw Zhiyou scanning the surroundings. Understanding his intentions, Sixing immediately declared, “The incident just now was merely a rumour. If anyone dares to spread it outside, our company will not invite those people to participate in our future projects.”
When Sixing – the steadfast company boss – spoke, everyone took his words seriously. His declaration was a relief, particularly for Huang Mi. If the incident got blown out of proportion, the drama would definitely attract more attention. As for Feifei, though she might get criticised for leveraging such an incident, she would certainly draw countless eyes – after all, bad publicity is still publicity.
Only he stood to lose. His meticulously cultivated image over the years would completely collapse, and he would be despised by netizens and fans alike.
With Sixing’s respect, he was even less likely to chase after Du Sui. After sorting out his feelings, he called out, “Let’s get to work!”
With those words, Sixing turned around and walked away, briefly taking hold of Feifei’s hand when no one was looking.
