Chapter 303 Let's See Who Will Be Laughing in the End.

However, Lucifer gave the girls a look before they could say anything and turned his gaze back to the man, who had a mocking smile on his face.

"You're wrong, Jack. First, she isn't just some 'hot actress,' as you put it. She's my girlfriend. So, if you want to talk about her like that, I'd suggest that you keep those thoughts to yourself instead of sharing them with the world." Lucifer said as he looked at Jack's eyes with a serious look on his face. "Also, it was just an acting job, not some sort of porn movie or something. There is a big difference between the two, which you don't seem to understand, unfortunately."

"Oh yeah? But I think that models and actors are no different than any other person who sells themselves out for money. Whether they do it on camera or off camera, the result is the same. They get paid to entertain people, like those cheap escorts working in the Red Light District." Jack chuckled, looking Lucifer straight in the eye, "The real man would make money with their intelligence, not by using their looks." Stay connected via empire

Seeing that things could get out of control at any moment between the two, Zoe decided to step in. She looked at the man who had just spoken and snapped, "Jack! Do you even realize what you're talking about right now?! If not, then I suggest you shut the fuck up and don't insult others without thinking first."

"I agree. What you are talking about isn't right at all," James added his own words, not wanting the mood of the trip to get ruined because of such nonsense. "You can't go and compare every job and occupation with others. Each one has its own merits, and we must respect that. Otherwise, what will become of us if we start insulting each other over our work?"

Nathan nodded at his friends' words and joined them, "He is right, dude. So don't start saying stuff that will offend others. We are here to have fun and enjoy our time together. Let's not ruin that."

Hearing their words, Jack scoffed, "Whatever. I just don't like these kinds of jobs that people take for fame and attention. And if you want me to stop saying anything about that, then don't bring that stuff up in the first place."

After saying that, he continued eating, not paying any more attention to what the others said to him.

But even though it seemed that he had stopped talking, everyone could tell that the tension in the room had grown significantly as the mood became heavy, and they all fell silent for some time.

Thankfully, after a while, Madison started talking again about what they should do when they arrived at the resort, which changed the conversation's direction. And from there, everything returned to normal, as the young men and women continued their meal while discussing different things about the island they were going to visit.

Meanwhile, Lucifer was not bothered by Jack's words at all. He didn't care what the man thought of him or his work. However, Lucifer felt that this man was an arrogant bastard who needed to learn a lesson in manners and humility.

And if it weren't for the fact that he didn't want to cause any problems during their trip, Lucifer would have made sure to put him in his place right here and now, but unfortunately, that wasn't an option. However, if the opportunity presented itself, he would make it his mission to show this asshole that he wasn't someone who could be messed with and that he should think twice before opening his mouth again.

The same was true for Layla, who had dangerous glints flicker across her blue eyes, looking as if she would attack the man at any moment with the fork she held in her hands. But somehow, she held herself back from doing anything drastic and focused her attention on her food.

After their meal, the group went to sit in the lounge and began playing cards to entertain themselves. This gave everyone a chance to have a good time and enjoy a game without feeling like they were stuck in the yacht.

As they were playing, Lucifer had an idea to make the game even more interesting. He got up and grabbed a bottle of tequila and several shot glasses from the bar and placed them in the center of the table where everyone was sitting. "I've got a great idea that will spice things up a bit! How about we add some rules to the game and play with these?"

"What do you have in mind, Lucifer?" Ethan asked him, intrigued by his proposition.

"Well... Whoever wins can choose someone who loses and give them an order to follow. If they refuse to do so, they must take a shot," he explained while looking around the room with a smirk on his lips before stopping his eyes on Jack and continuing, "Of course, if anyone wants to opt out of the game and doesn't feel confident about their skills in the game, then they are free to do so."

"Are you implying something with that statement, huh?" Jack asked with an angry tone. He was obviously referring to the way Lucifer was looking at him. Moreover, there was no way he wouldn't accept the challenge presented in front of him. It was a matter of pride. He couldn't let someone else think he lacked confidence in anything or that he was a coward. "Fine. Let's do this. Let's see who will be laughing in the end, and I am sure it will not be you."

"Although it's a good idea," Zoe interrupted and looked at everyone with a smile on her face, "I want to add a rule that someone can drink on behalf of another person. What do you say about that, Nathan?"

"Yes. I won't mind drinking for you, babe," Nathan replied as he smiled back at his girlfriend lovingly, happy that she would rely on him to help her during this game. "So don't worry; I'll be here for you."
