Chapter 505 Sorry, Little Buddy
Chapter 505 Sorry, Little Buddy
A few students with the Space Element tried to follow William's tracks, but escaping was a piece of cake. He simply passed through a portal to the tenth floor, waited for their presence to near, then created two portals leading to different locations.
With the Illusion Element concealing his aura to a considerable degree, the students had to split up to figure out which path was the correct one. He repeated this several times, marking each one with his Hunter Talent, then found a quiet place to relax on the thirteenth floor.
Leading them to the fourteenth floor in the beginning was of no risk to him, since the blocked-off area had been opened up after he defeated the Sun Stone Golem. William remained hidden until his marked targets returned to the tenth floor, then opened up his Status Panel.
Hmm... William looked at the long list of Talents. With 171 Ascended Points at his disposal, his options had expanded from less than five to about a dozen. It would have been more if not for many Talents requiring an item for their Ascension.
Without a Deity Shard of the appropriate Element, Magic was still off the table when it came to upgrades. His Weapons Master Talent would need "God of Weaponry's Intuition", which was as vague to him now as it was the first time he saw it.
Among his Physical Talents, only the Ascended Recovery Talent could be upgraded for 5 Ascended Points, while the Fitness Talent wouldn't show him its requirements until the System reached S-Rank. Considering it hadn't been Ascended yet, though, William guessed it would also need some stupid item requirement.
-It's not stupid. I've already explained to you that upgrading Talents wouldn't be as simple anymore. Consider it a sign that you've become stronger.
William ignored the System and continued on to the Passive Talents section. This was the most ideal section to him, since both Forcefield and Forcefield Recovery were upgradable, as well as the Ascended Cultivation Talent.
Above them was the Mana Dominator Talent, which had already displayed its absurd usefulness when refining his Mana Circuits. If he could upgrade it again, William would be able to store even more Mana into his Mana Points, vastly increasing the power of his Spells.
Lastly, William ignored the upgradable Talents under the "Other" category, since they were more than useless to him in their current state. He had no need for an Ascended Drawing, Stone Skipping, or Mining Talent, unless for some reason there was a special ore located within the Quake Dungeon.
He doubted it, but the thought of loot made him cross his fingers regardless.
William didn't even think about upgrading any of his Resistance Talents, since it was important for them to be at the same Rank before they merged together. If he pushed his Heat Resistance Talent to D-Rank, he would both need to Ascend all of his Resistances AND upgrade them.
He scrolled further down the Status Panel.

I feel really bad for not paying any attention to my Companion Beasts all this time. Atticus is way overdue for an upgrade, and it's not even that expensive... Should I just go for it?
The System didn't respond, probably because William ignored it earlier. He really wanted to go through with the upgrade, but a mental nudge from Atticus reminded him that a Tribulation would likely follow, unless he had an advanced method to block it.
The Elemental Realms seemed like the best location, considering they could conceal his identity when inside. Until then, Atticus would have to wait.
"I'll upgrade you as soon as I can, Atticus. Don't worry, you can fight with me soon." William said with a sigh as he reached the bottom of his Status.

I haven't upgraded my Farms in a while, but I can upgrade them at any time without risk. There's also two more Farm Slots I forgot to use earlier on. I'll buy more Element Farms with them later...
It's best I wait until the Element Farms are ready to harvest before upgrading them again, otherwise I'll get the timing wrong. Looks like the Potential Farms are overdue for an upgrade though.
With each upgrade, his Potential Farms would earn either five or ten times as many Potential Points, while the cost to upgrade them would always increase by ten times. It was a good deal as long as William didn't mind waiting some time to recover his spent Points, but each upgrade took longer and longer to make up for its cost.
Currently, William earned 2.25 million Potential Points per day, 750 thousand Points coming in from each farm. At the current rate, it would take over a year to earn one Ascended Point from their daily combined income.
But one year was nothing to a Cultivator at his level, even if a lot had been happening the last few days. With so many Ascended Points available to him right now, William decided to spend 3 upgrading the Potential Farms to S-Rank.
Thankfully, the S-Rank upgrade gave William a ten-times increase to his daily earnings, each Potential Farm giving him 7.5 million Potential Points per day. Their combined total was still only 22.5 million Points, but William didn't find it to be a waste.
A hundred and thirty days from now they'll have paid for themselves. It's too bad upgrading them doesn't count towards the System Rank. I still need to spend 14 more AP.
There's no sense thinking about it much. System, upgrade my Cultivation Talent!
