Chapter 1577 21.34 Fifth Violet Star - Bumping with a demon.

The city started looking like a ghost town, who stayed where considered as a brave soul that is fearless and dead in the eyes of the police and military. Among these men are the owner of Bar 'Purgatory' and his staff. They refuse to move and the military almost haul them away.

But after being beaten by Zhi Yang and Zhi Yue, Captain Lou Ye gave them permission to stay and in exchange they will not receive any help or support from them and their lives will be for them to protect on their own.

The God of Void agreed and they signed a life and death contract with the government. Only then they were allowed to stay in their own building. The martial law and curfew was taken back. After all, the people they needed to protect had mostly evacuated as for those who had stayed they were responsible for their own lives.

After all, even the police and soldiers aren't confident enough to fight against mythical creatures like demons and angels. Especially devils who control a mortal's body and do evil things with it. They cannot be killed by normal means and only through exorcism can they be eliminated.

Thus, the government asked for the help of the Vatican. The demons didn't make any moves to stop the evacuation of the citizens as their real target was only the angel wings that the government had taken possession of. That was their priority and killing humans was only done along the way as they were preventing them from taking what they wanted.

A week had passed since the evacuation was done. Despite not having his loyal customers, the God of Void keeps his bar open in the evening. The police officers and soldiers felt it was weird at first. But his bar became a rest stop for the patrolling men of the city. Among them, the one that is a frequent visitor is none other than the doctor who would come over every evening to smooch food.

Unexpectedly, the bar owner of the Purgatory would personally make dinner for the doctor every time he came over. It was said that Lucifer's cooking was a delicacy. Sadly, his cooking can only be experienced by Doctor Hei Yu and no one knows the reason why.

One evening at the Bar 'Purgatory', while the god of void was busying himself in the kitchen, Doctor Hei was waiting at the bar counter alone with a small glass of strawberry milk tea made from fresh strawberries and authentic tea leaves with added milk. As for Zhi Yue and Zhi Yang, they both excuse themselves and left the two of them alone, but in reality they've just returned to their system avatar form hovering around the doctor protecting him.

After a while, the God of Void pushes a cart over to the bar counter. The top tray had two plates and a few small plates. There is also a small cup of frozen chocolate mousse and a bottle of chilled red wine. The God of Void serves some white sauce fettuccine with meatballs and grated cheese. A small bowl of potato wedges and garlic bread were served as side dishes and chocolate mousse for dessert.

Doctor Hei looked at the dish for dinner with delighted eyes. Clearly, this meal was something he loves eating the most. He grins happily and even responds to his chef tonight.

"Thank you. Everything looks delicious!" said Doctor Hei Yu.

The God of Void also serves the doctor a cup of wine before eating together with him on the bar counter.

"Is it alright for you to come over alone? Don't you have work or something?" said the God of Void.

Doctor Hei Yu who was eating his pasta with urgency yet still looking well-mannered responded, "It's alright. None of the demons had appeared this whole week. Once they either capture or kill one, that's when it's my turn to work~. Hm~ delish~"

"I will send you back if there is no one to pick you up," said the God of Void.

Doctor Hei Yu said, "But isn't it dangerous for you to come back alone? There are unknown creatures that may be hiding in the shadows."

"Don't worry about me. If I don't have enough skills the police wouldn't have allowed me to stay in the city. I will be fine," said the God of Void.

Actually, he was only worried about what he heard from the chief warden. It's the situation that happened in the clinic at the police station. Though the other thinks that the vice captain called Lev suffered after being punched, the question is why he would sneak behind the doctor if he was asking for medicine. If his stomach is truly hurt beyond his limit, why was he able to stand up?

The God of Void thought of the scenario that the man was trying to harm Doctor Hei Yu but stopped at the last moment when he felt the aura he left scared him, allowing the doctor to land a punch on his nose. If that vice captain can truly feel the energy of the darkness he left in the doctor, that means that man is most likely a demon.

Doctor Hei Yu said, "Okay then. I believe you are indeed powerful. After all, the captain was so respectful to you~"

"Why do you say so?" asked the God of Void. It was as if the hidden meaning within the words of the doctor didn't move his emotions much.

The eyes of the doctor narrowed at this question and said, "Nevermind~ since you are trying to hide it."

The two ended their conversation and just enjoyed their dinner. As soon as they finished their meals, the two systems who were not around had suddenly reappeared to handle the dishes.

Zhi Yue said, "Master, please leave the dishes to us."

"Hm? When have you come over?" asked Doctor Hei Yue, surprised.

Zhi Yang said, "We were just waiting in the kitchen for dinner time to pass. We also had our meal there."

"I see no wonder," said Doctor Hei as he followed Lucifer to have some tea in the couch area.

The two stayed for an hour to get their meals digested before preparing to leave the purgatory to head to the police station. The two systems saw the two out and the two decided to just walk back as the station was not too far from the location of the bar. While Doctor Hei Yu and the God of Void were walking along the empty roads, they passed the time talking to each other.

The two enjoy the conversation that even an eerie and empty road is no longer fearful. However, they didn't even notice that the shadows that were behind them started moving and chasing after them. The doctor might haven't noticed it at all, but for the God of Void not to notice, is impossible. He just chose to ignore it.

When they reached the distance of one road from the police station, the demon following them had finally come out from the shadows and blocked the two. A minotaur looking demon appeared before the God of Void and Doctor Hei Yu.

{Humans~, you are out of luck. I feel the power of the king's wings on one of you. Give it to me now!}

He started attacking them, but before the two were hit, the God of Void's hands was enough to block the demon's strength in such a nonchalant manner. He even glanced at the doctor with a calm gaze.

He said, "The police station is near. How about you pick your tools and make this demon your new toy?"

"Really? You are going to give it to me?!" asked Doctor Hei Yu with an excited look like a child who found his new toy.

The God of Void nodded his head without hesitation and said, "Yes."

"Okay. I will be back soon!" said Doctor Hei Yu as he ran towards the station which is only a street away from their current location with an excited look in his eyes.

As soon as the doctor had gone to the distance, the cow demon looked at the God of Void with disbelief in his eyes. He actually noticed that as soon as his head was grabbed by the small hands of the bar owner, the cow demon realized that the darkness coming from this man was enough to restrain him.

{I-Impossible... they said that... the king is dead!} the Minotaur shouted.

Unfortunately, the God of Void doesn't care about his words and was thinking how to kill this demon without destroying its body, allowing it to keep the whole body intact.

"How to keep our body intact as I kill you? I know..." The God of Void mumbles.

The Cow demon felt the hand holding his head grips his skull with force and another small hand held his shoulder firmly.

"I should just cleanly separate the head from the body," said the God of Void as he ripped off his head.

The God of Void made sure to twist the head so the blood wouldn't splash on his side. his face remained calm with a pair of indifferent eyes looking at the demon in his hand as if he wasn't a demon but something that can be killed by him so easily.

A blood fountain comes out from the headless body as soon as he removes the hand. It was instant death for the demon. Seeing that the body remains intact, he placed the head above the body and leaned at one of the night streets as he pulled out a cigarette to smoke. Not even a drop of demon blood fell on him.
