Chapter 1397: Taught a lesson

Yu Jianian did not hold back as she threw the wooden block, she was too fast and Ye Liu could not stop her at all. The block flew in an arc and hit Sun Jie on the forehead, the block was made from wood and had sharp edges, the second it hit Sun Jie on the head —— blood immediately gushed out.

"AH!" Sun Jie screamed in pain as he clasped his forehead with his hands, he looked at the red liquid that was smeared on his palm and started to shake. He looked terrified and lost, seeing this Chen Mi could no longer care about anything. He rushed towards Sun Jie and coaxed him in a low voice, "It is alright, it’s alright. It doesn’t hurt."

Sun Jie was special and even though he looked like he was agitated under Chen Mi’s presence and voice he calmed down. He sniffed and sobbed silently making the heart of Shen Li, Ye Liu and Fang Chi ache. The sight of this foolish mer crying without making a fuss even though he was hurt was enough to make them feel sorry for him.

However, Yu Jianian did not think that she was doing anything wrong. Instead, she laughed out loud happily and clapped her hands, "The idiot is crying! The idiot is crying!" Her father pulled her back but he did not say anything to his daughter. For the sake of an idiot, he could not bring himself to scold his daughter.

He tried to quieten his daughter down because this matter was indeed their fault but as Wei De did not scold Yu Jianian, she did not think that she was in the wrong. She continued calling Sun Jie an idiot who got more and more agitated before yelling, "I am not an idiot!"

"You are an idiot! Bah! Bah!" Yu Jianian did not expect that Sun Jie would retort. She made a face and stated, "You are a fool who knows nothing! One day you will eat trash and you will go mad!"

Her words were really harsh, Shen Li could not help but say to Wei De angrily, "Can you not close her mouth! Is this how you teach her? To disrespect her elders?"

Wei De felt awkward but he also felt that these people were making a mountain out of mole hill. His daughter was not wrong, Sun Jie was an idiot, and he was of no use. Sooner or later he would be kicked out by Yu Dong as he could neither give birth to a child nor could he keep Yu Dong happy.

He said, "A child doesn’t know anything, her words do not mean any harm." How could his precious daughter be scolded for an idiot? Wei De immediately sided with his daughter.

Hearing his words, Yu Jianian grew bolder. She thought that no one could do anything to her, so she picked up another block to hit Sun Jie. In her village she used to hit the idiot until he bled and fell unconscious, it was a fun game for her.

The sound of the resounding slap echoed in the surroundings and everyone turned silent. They all looked at Yu Jianian who was slapped and then at the woman who was slightly panting and holding her hand in the air, it seemed like she was deliberating whether to slap Yu Jianian again or not.

It was Sun Jie who snapped out of his daze and rushed forward, "Sister Dong! She said that I am an idiot and I will eat trash!"

Sun Jie had never suffered any grievance after he came to the Yu family. The rest of the mers treated him well and Yu Dong treated him nicely as well. She did not raise her voice at him as she knew that it agitated him, much less her hands. With Yu Dong taking care of him like this Sun Jie grew a bit pampered, after getting hit and called an idiot, he could not help but complain.

’So this is Yu Dong,’ Zhang Kun looked at Yu Dong whose face was sterner than a General and her eyes fiercer than any killer. He thought that his mother-in-law had everything sought out but it seems like his mother-in-law underestimated Yu Dong by a long shot.

"You! You slapped me! You are a bad person! A bad person! Daddy hit her! Call my mother, she will definitely teach this bad woman a lesson!" Yu Jianian shouted at the top of her lungs, her voice was so loud that everyone inside the house heard her.

Grandma Yu was used to taking a walk to the strawberry field with Grandma Fang, the two of them just returned when they heard the voice of a girl shouting.

Yu Nianian who was hiding inside the guest courtyard earlier could no longer ignore what was going on. She thought that even if the children damaged something, she would thicken her skin and say that it was caused by the children. However now that her daughter was screaming, she could not hide in the house and do nothing.

She rushed out along with Yu Sa and soon the backyard of the house was filled with people.

"Who are you?" Yu Dong questioned coldly as she looked at Wei De. "What are you doing in my house? Which idiot told you that your brats can run amok and do whatever they wanted in my home?"

Wei De’s face turned red, he opened his mouth but did not know what to say. He looked at his wife who had arrived and heaved a sigh of relief. Yu Jianian also saw her mother and thought that her saviour had come, she rushed to her mother and cried, "Mother! That bad woman slapped me! You have to teach her a lesson!"
