Chapter 1364 A narcissist

It was Father Sun who was bringing Sun Jie back home. Because of the tension in the Yu house last night, Yu Dong asked Father Sun to take Sun Jie home. The poor mer was already scared enough by the sudden change in the house and when Shen Li started screaming he started to shake like a leave in the storm.

Yu Dong did not want to give unnecessary stress to Sun Jie and the children so she asked Father Sun to take not only Sun Jie but also Yu Mai who did not know anything about childbirth and the pain that came with it.

He was walking back to the Yu house when he ran into Murong Si and paused in his stride.

"You are..?" Since Murong Si did not know who Father Sun was, he could only assume his identity as he was holding hands with Yu Mai, Yu Tong's other cousin and Yu Dong's biological brother.

"Ah! You do not know me, right? I am Father Sun. Sun Jie's daddy and Madam Dong's father-in-law," as he introduced himself, he turned to look at Sun Jie who was hiding behind him. He said to his son, "You should greet Master Murong, Ah Jie. He is going to be your brother-in-law very soon."

Sun Jie peered at Murong Si before ducking back behind his father. He did not greet him but he did stare at him curiously.

"Forgive me. He is a bit shy when it comes to strangers," Father Sun said to Murong Si with an awkward look on his face. "Are you going to the Yu house to congratulate Madam Yu and Master Shen?"

"Congratulations?" Murong Si questioned with a frown on his face. Did something happen when he was away?

"Oh, you don't know," Father Sun was quite surprised when he saw that Murong Si was not aware of Shen Li giving birth to two sons. He thought that he came to the village because he wanted to give his congratulations to Yu Dong and Shen Li but it seemed like that was not the case.

He relayed the good news to Murong Si, "Master Shen gave birth to two dragons last night. The Yu family now has two heirs."

Murong Si's eyes widened. Now he understood why Yu Tong thought that he was taking advantage of the opportunity. 'But still, that woman is way too confident. How could she think that I came to look for her just because I coincidentally came on the same day as the birth of the twins?' Murong Si thought with an annoyed expression. No, she was not only confident but also extremely narcissistic.

"I..see, I had no idea," Murong Si stated with a soft smile on his face. "Shall we go together since we are headed in the same place?"

Father Sun had nothing against it, he nodded and the two mers along with Sun Jie and Yu Mai arrived at the Yu family house.

"Sister!" Yu Mai went looking for Yu Dong and so did Sun Jie, the two of them were not used to living away from Yu Dong. Especially Sun Jie who would feel warm and soothed when he was with Yu Dong because of her spiritual energy.

Father Sun laughed heartedly when he saw that his son was getting closer to Yu Dong. Even though he might not be able to bear children for Yu Dong, it was better to have a good relationship with his wife.

Murong Si on the other hand went to look for Shen Li, however as soon as he stepped inside the room, he saw Li Hanjing with Xiao Zimo and Xiao Hua. The three mers were talking with Shen Li but paused when they saw Murong Si.

Xiao Hua especially took a good look at Murong Si who was going to marry Yu Tong just after Li Hanjing and frowned. He turned to look at Li Hanjing who stared at him with a questioning look on his face and suddenly felt a great sense of danger.

This mer was way too beautiful and younger than Li Hanjing. He needed to make sure that his brother wouldn't be defeated by Murong Si!

"You are Murong Si?" Xiao Zimo questioned while staring at Murong Si with a curious look on his face. He does have to admit that the mer looked really good.

Murong Si did not know who these mers were but upon seeing that they were together with Li Hanjing, he knew that they were related to him. He nodded and answered, "Yes, I am Murong Si." He then turned to look at Shen Li who was lying on the bed with two babies bundled up and placed next to him.

The two children were sleeping peacefully.

As it was too early, they still resembled a pair of monkeys. Murong Si decided to not remark on that for the time being. Instead, he turned to Shen Li and questioned, "How are you feeling?"

"I am feeling alright," Shen Li replied with a smile on his face. The cinnabar mark on his forehead was glowing red as he stated, "I feel a bit tired but other than that I am doing okay."

Murong Si smiled back at him before saying, "I am sorry. I was not aware of the fact that you have given birth, that's why I came empty-handed." If he had known then he would have brought something from his home. Even if it was nothing, it would be better than coming empty-handed.

"It's alright. I am aware that you wouldn't have known about the twins' birth so soon," Shen Li however did not take the matter to heart. He had everything now after the birth of two sons. What more could he ask for his family to be filled with love and happiness?

The fact that Murong Si came to look for him was enough to show that he cared for him. That was enough for now. As it showed that Murong Si was an understanding mer. He asked, "Are you here for Dong Dong?"
