GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2001 Chaos Spark.

Chapter 2001  Chaos Spark.

All they need to produce Cosmic energy is their origin and the right organ. With it, they will be able to produce Cosmic energy anywhere. These are reasons why they can't put their hope for a Cosmic source on the single plan that Legion-3 is currently working on. Cosmic energy is just too important to pin their hopes on one plan. They have to have backup plans. Besides, it will be better if they have 12 Cosmic sources so that they can make full use of their Aspect of Unity to multiply its power. In a distant part of the void universe, Aeternus began to speed up the rate of the acquisition of their Cosmic source while the other eleven clones went to look for the first beneficiaries of Legion-0.

They scattered in different directions to broaden their search area. Then each clone used the aspect of Probability to find the beneficiaries for Legion-0. Aeternus was guzzling a lot of entropy where he was. His actions caused their inner worlds to fill up with Chaos energy.

This poison didn't harm them at all. Instead, they used their aspect of Entropy and Knowledge to turn it into Chaos Sparks. A Chaos Spark is a weird energy. Unlike other types of energy, you only need one of it to do anything.

For example, if a mortal wants to move. The energy they will need to move 100 meters will be more than what they will need to move 1 meter. It is safe to say that they will need 100 times more energy to move 100 meters compared to 1 meter, if not more.

But that is not so with Chaos Spark. To Chaos Spark, there is no difference between a distance of one meter and 100 meters. The only difference will only happen if the world god stops or not. As long as a world god wants to move 100 meters or 1 kilometer and they specify that, all they will require is 1 unit of chaos spark. As long as nothing interrupts them, they will move the distance they want, and all it will cost is 1 chaos spark. Even if someone interrupts the world god, it doesn't matter the strength of the enemy; all it will cost is one Chaos Spark to make a move against the enemy.

Each move they make will cost one chaos spark and nothing more, even if that move lasts all of eternity. It doesn't mean that the move will succeed, though; that's the domain of absolutes. If world gods want to succeed and be victorious in a fight, they need more power than their enemies and the chaos sparks needed to overcome the resistance of their opponent.

But world gods are impressive too. They are perfect machines that make complete use of potential energy. That is what Chaos Sparks is. It is the potential for change concentrated into a tiny point of infinite possibility. All it needs is a direction, which a supreme law will provide. It is said that babies have infinite potential. They have their whole future ahead of them and are capable of anything. They can become anyone, achieve great things, or achieve nothing in their life. Chaos sparks are like that but more concentrated. It is potential that can be used to achieve anything. But what it will achieve is dependent on who is using it. World gods, world enders, and world forges all need chaos sparks. But they acquire it through different methods.

World gods acquire it through harvesting the potential of living things in their world. World enders acquire it through the refinement of chaos energy, while forges acquire it through the refinement of divinity.

World enders have deviated from using chaos sparks, though. They use chaos blood, which is a tainted version of Cosmic energy. World enders aren't supposed to have Cosmic energy so soon. Especially not tainted Cosmic energy. This possession of Chaos blood is why world gods are so afraid of world enders and also why they can't defeat world enders. Chaos blood is a poison on its own. Legion knows now that it comes from beneath the void universe or somewhere outside of the void universe.

It is corrosive, and it causes madness in world enders, but their possession of it means world enders can never be defeated. A fight with a world ender will never end since they have infinite energy.

It is why Aeternus was so formidable as a demon god. He had too much energy to spare. The only way to defeat a world ender is if they haven't acquired chaos blood yet. As for them, they are using one main method and one alternative method to acquire chaos sparks. The alternative method is to Legion-0 to convert various types of energy into divinity and then convert the divinity into Chaos Spark since Legion-0 is their world forge. The main method is to use the abyss in their inner world and the aspect of Entropy to create chaos energy, store chaos energy, and convert it to Chaos Sparks.

They rarely use the alternative method because it needs usable energy to produce Chaos spark. It can use any type of energy, such as faith, mana, origin energy, and void energy, to produce Chaos Sparks. But the energy has to be usable.

The main method, on the other hand, can use usable energy and also work with entropy or unusable energy. So the main method is more flexible. It is even faster. Both methods are faster and more flexible in the raw materials they need to produce Chaos Sparks than the method of using living beings to create Chaos Sparks that world gods rely on.

However, they are hoping to transition out of that because Chaos Sparks is not as great as limitless energy. For example, they are currently searching for supreme origin gods to use Legion-0 on. They don't know where those supreme origin gods are, so they can't go there directly. They can only wander aimlessly.

Each time they move and stop, they will have to expend one chaos spark. That is one chaos spark less than what they had a moment ago.
