Chapter 1185 One month later

From MC's Perspective:

One month later,

After knowing that Head Howard Mason was back. The undercurrents have calmed down a little. Even the Aristocratic Families who were trying to stir up trouble have quieted down.

Only the Mages from different departments were behaving as usual.

Special Mage Department,

In the special mage department, after attending the last class. I walked out of the hall. Just as I thought about going to the library.

I got a quick summon from the Intelligence Tower. It's been some time since they contacted me. Especially after the trip to the secret land, things have calmed down.

I have been attending the classes without any problem. Because of the peaceful days, I was able to focus on practising in the mana chamber facility. My strength has improved a lot as well.

But these good days were causing restlessness in me. It's like the calm before a storm. The Aristocratic Factions won't remain calm for so long. I have been feeling bored these days; this news lightens up the mood.

So, I left the special mage department after informing Elder Paul Lin.

About 15 minutes later,

I reached the magnificent tower. I used my I.D. to enter inside. Normally, other Mage Department students weren't allowed here.

But I have been given special status here. With that, I can come here whenever I want. Like any other department, there are a lot of eyes and ears here.

So I decided not to wander around before going to Elder Stella's office. I arrived there shortly. But I stopped moving forward before the restrictions.

I contacted Elder Stella, who then deactivated the restriction to allow me to come in. Then I reached the office room..

I opened the door and walked inside. Elder Stella is sitting behind the desk. She is carrying a bright smile on her face.

"Looks like you have been enjoying the peaceful days," She said.

"But I think it's going to end now," I replied before taking the seat.

"Well, you caught on. I called you here for an important mission," She said in a solemn tone.

Seeing her expression changes. I know it's another f@cked up mission. I don't know what kind of threat I'm going to face next.

"Elder, what's the mission?" I asked her.

Stella activates the blue virtual screen before saying, "Our True Elements Society wizards were reported missing a few days ago."

"Initially, we thought it was some kind of fight between the wizards. But the traces of an evil wizard are found," She added.

"Evil Wizard," I uttered in surprise.

Normally, an evil wizard organisation wouldn't exist in a place like the Super Large Nation. They would be easily found out by the Top Wizard Organisation in the country.

"So what's an evil wizard doing here?" I asked her.

Seeing that you are giving serious thought. I can understand you were surprised as well. There is no powerful evil wizard organisation banned by the Mage Union in our country.

"Banned by Mage Union?" I asked.

This is another new piece of information I'm hearing.

"That's right, do you remember the Transmutation Society? It can be called the Evil Wizard Organisation. But it's not banned by Mage Union," She clarified.

Hearing that I understood.

A sigh escapes from my mouth. I kind of feel bored staying in the organisation. It's time to move around and kill some evil wizards.

"Elder, can you tell me about the mission?" I asked.

"The places that they went missing were troublesome. It's a City called Kaiden under the administration of the Anderson Family; it's one of the Top Wizard Families in our country."

"They are not giving permission for investigation. So it has become difficult to gather information. I want you to go there and investigate it."

"If it's really an Evil Wizard behind this, you should collect some evidence before returning," She said in a serious tone.

There are other expert wizards in the Intelligence Tower. But she doesn't want to send them. Because Vincent is a Mage from the Special Mage Department. His Magic Level won't attract attention.

That's why she wants him to go there.

"Anderson Family," I said in my heart. But my heart was turbulent. Because I couldn't help but think about Cory Anderson. Her family runs the Purple Chamber of Commerce.

Maybe if I got there, I could gather more information regarding the Gravity Magic. Though Elder Paul Lin had warned me about the dangerous ruin controlled by Mage Union.

"Elder, I will do it. What about the rewards?" I asked.

"I have not thought about it. But I'll give a powerful spell scroll for safety. I recorded one of the mind magic spells in that scroll. It could shatter the minds of level-9 Wizards in the vicinity," She said.

Hearing that, my eyes flash with excitement. Mind Magic is a rare magic power that is feared by many wizards. The scroll will definitely help me.

Even if the Aristocratic Families sent someone after me. I will definitely use it on them.

"But there is one condition. You can't use it. Otherwise, you will be killed by the Mind Magic as well. So make it as a trap to be opened by someone," She said.

Hearing that I understood her logic. But I have the Gregor mansion with me. I can always hide in there.

"Okay, when should I leave," I asked.

"If it's now, it would be best. I have some errands to run. I will drop you in Kaiden City," She said.

Hearing that, I felt it was a good thing. But what about the return? But before I could open my mouth.

She said, "Every week there is a cargo airship transport between us. The airship leaves Kaiden City and reaches our Main City. So you won't face travel problems during the maison."

Hearing that, I was surprised. I didn't expect the Main City to have an airfield connecting to major cities in the country. Which is good for my future plans as well.
