Chapter 1179 Fire mana stone vein!

I got far away from Owen and Lenny. Those 2 might not know that I have seen them fighting over there. Now, I have a real problem ahead of me.

There is something hidden in this volcanic land. But the trails leading to that place are hard to find. Now, I'm randomly going forward to a place covered with volcanic ash. But there is no sign of monsters in this part of volcanic land.

After passing through the volcanic ash land for a few minutes, I bump into another monster lair. This time, it was a lair of the snake monsters.

I paused my movements and started observing them. I want to know whether any 9th-order monsters are lurking here.

The snake monsters in different sizes became entangled with each other in many numbers. At this distance, it appears as though a mound stands before me.

Because all the monsters look the same. They are black with black scales covering all over the body. The black volcanic land adds better cover for it.

Then my gaze fell on the mound again to see whether the monsters were awake or hibernating.

A few minutes passed by, yet I saw no slight movement from their body. Their behaviour is different from the behaviour of Red Lizards.

"What's these monsters doing?" I asked myself.

Behind, the snake mound. There is an entrance to the snake's lair. The lair caught my attention. Since I have Gregor Mansion with me. I'm not afraid of exploring the lair.

I have a feeling that I could stumble upon a clue here.

Then I started walking towards the lair. The snake monsters were in deep sleep. Only if they sense any danger they would awake.

As time passed, I came across other snake monsters inside the lair. These snake monsters breathe in and breathe out fire mana, lying on the ground in a deep sleep.

I think these monsters are practising as well. For them, it's a natural process. They don't need mental methods to progress.

After reaching one point deep inside. I stepped moving. The route goes deeper. Yet I haven't found any trail.

Without having another choice, I took the Zero Puppet out. Then I activated the Zero Puppet. The Zero Puppet comes to life again.

"Master, what's your order?" Zero asked.

"Search this lair. See if there are any magic resources here," I said to the puppet.

"Yes, master," Zero Puppet replied before leaving the place.

Then I begin to wait in this place. I doubt the sleeping monsters would awake at any time. I have a feeling that something is going on here.

It's unusual to see all the snake monsters hibernating at the same time. Not a single snake monster is awake here.

The Zero Puppet silently searches the nook and corner in search of magic resources. The deep inside the lair has multiple passages.

Zero Puppet goes through one passage after another. Many of them ended with a dead end. But all these passages have snake monsters hibernating inside.

None of them were able to sense the intruder.

One hour later,

Zero Puppet finds a passage where it sees an 8th-order monster lying on the ground in front of the entrance to the passage.

The Zero Puppet analysis shows that 8th-order monsters are high in numbers compared to other places. So the Puppet decided to search here.

When the puppet went deep inside. It spotted fire elemental mana stones on the walls of the passage. It's the sign of fire elemental mana veins' presence here.

Zero Puppet goes inside further. The number of fire mana stones increases in the numbers. These 8th-order snake monsters are observing the fire mana from these fire mana stones.

Hiss!

Just as the Zero Puppet takes a further step inside. A Colossal Black Snake opened its eyes. Its two vertical pupils are looking at the ant-sized puppet in front of it.

It started hissing. At the same time, the Zero Puppet's sensors were alarming. It analyses that the Colossal Black Snake in front of it could be the 9th Order Monster.

Swoosh!

Without further delay, the Zero Puppet flees back from the passage.

The Colossal Black Snake's eyes flashed intelligence. It immediately awakened the sleeping 8th-order monsters on the ground.

Hiss!

One after another, the 8th-order Snake Monsters woke up from hibernating. They immediately obeyed the order of the 9th-order snake and started chasing down the enemy.

In a few minutes, the snake monsters in all the passages woke up from their sleep. They heard the calling of their king; an enemy had infiltrated their lair.

These snake monsters started rushing out in large numbers.

10 minutes later,

Hiss!

I'm waiting for the Zero Puppet to return. But I'm taken aback by the development here. The hissing sound of snakes started increasing from deep inside the cave.

My eyes flash with doubt. Just as I'm pondering, the Zero Puppet returns from the mission.

"Master, I have completed the task. Deep inside the lair, there is a fire mana stone vein," Zero Puppet replied.

"What?" I asked out of curiosity.

Zero Puppet recounted things to me.

But my expression grew serious after knowing that a possible 9th-order monster was present inside. The 9th-order Monster is similar to the Magic Level-9 Wizard.

I don't know whether Secret Land's gravity advantage would help me. It's difficult to defeat a 9th-order monster.

Boom!

The next second, my attention shifted to the lair, where a huge noise was coming from.

"Master, the snake monsters sleeping inside were all awake. They are likely after us," Zero Puppet replied.

"How many monsters are inside?" I asked.

"There are more than 50, 8th-order monsters inside and one 9th-order," Zero Puppet replied.

"This..," My eyes showed hesitation.

"Alright, I'll handle it hereafter," After saying that I deactivated the puppet and placed it inside the system space.

Then I vanished from the spot and appeared inside the Gregor Mansion.
