Chapter 503 Aiming for the Lord Tier ( 4 )
Rooaarr~
Seeing Shane entering his chamber, the Lord Tier Zombie roared, shaking the entire chamber… Shane realized that the Zombie was excited.
He could tell it through his long experience with the members of the Fairy Realm. This Zombie was probably waiting for a challenger for quite some time so it could finally leave this place.
After all, the Zombie just needed to defeat Shane's team and it would basically claim its freedom, no longer be restricted by this building, and act as a 'Boss Zombie.'
Shane had enough confidence in his strength to block the Zombie's charge with his body.
However, he wasn't exactly sure if the floor would be able to hold their clash. He was worried that they might fall down to the lower floor and it might also affect Lysandra and the others, who were watching behind the doors.
With this in consideration, Shane sidestepped, activating Flashstep, a skill from the A.I. Rebellion Apocalypse that allowed him to move with blinding speed.
Boom!
The Harbinger slammed into the wall, cracking the stone, and turned to face him again.
"Let's see what you've got," Shane muttered as he summoned the Eon Edge in his right hand. These items may be placed in his system inventory but because they were soulbound, he could easily summon them to his hands without opening his Inventory at all. It was the same for all the Soulbound Mythic Items.
Anyway, this Eon Edge was just one of the many Mythic Grade items he was able to retrieve and he was quite confident about its power.
The blade hummed to life, glowing with a bright, ethereal light as soon as it was activated.
It had a few activated abilities and Energy Slash was one of them
Ha!
He swung the Eon Edge, releasing a crescent-shaped wave of energy that struck the Harbinger square in the chest.
Thud!
The creature staggered but regenerated the damage almost instantly. Shane saw how its rotting flesh knitted itself back together.
'This is really awesome… Can I actually get that skill if I looted this Zombie?' Shane thought for a moment. After all his Aura Sentinel and other healing abilities weren't as reliable as the Zombie's regeneration power.
It was such an incredible ability.
"Tougher than I thought," Shane smiled as he calculated the amount of damage he had to do before being able to kill it.
Of course, he still had to see if it had a weakness like a core or brain he could exploit.
Anyway, the Harbinger retaliated, slamming its massive fist into the ground.
Boom!
Shane jumped back, avoiding the impact, but the shockwave sent debris flying in all directions.
He activated the Ring of Dusk and Dawn, creating a protective barrier of light and shadow that absorbed the brunt of the attack. Well, he just wanted to use his Mythic Items to confirm that they were working properly similar to his past.
Shane then switched to the Sylph's Whisper, his Mythic Bow, and fired a volley of arrows infused with wind magic, Storm Barrage.
The arrows struck the Harbinger with explosive force, momentarily halting its advance. However, the creature roared again and at the same time, it regenerated its injuries almost instantly.
"This is going to take a while," Shane muttered as he saw how he was able to pierce through its head and certainly destroy its brain. However, the Zombie was clearly unaffected by his attacks.
It means that its brain was not its weakness. As for whether it had a core or not, Shane still had to find it.
For over an hour, Shane fought against the Harbinger, landing blow after blow while avoiding its desperate attacks.
He could tell that this Zombie was also getting impatient for not being able to harm him with his various barriers and defenses.
Shane then used skills like Phantom Strikes to confuse the creature and Spirit Chains to briefly immobilize it. Both of these abilities were his staple during the Fairy Realm's invasion.
Each time he thought he had the upper hand, the Harbinger would simply regenerate its wounds and continue its assault.
It was quite frustrating… Shane was lacking a skill that could completely obliterate his target after all.
'I should've made some bombs or upgraded by Turret first.' Shane thought for a moment. Thankfully, his current Spirit Points were high enough and he wouldn't even mind even if they could last a few more hours.
The whole chamber became their battlefield. The place was already filled with broken pillars and shattered stones littering the ground.
Shane's stamina was still high, but he wasn't sure if the Zombie's regeneration would slow down or completely stop at all.

This doesn't seem to be a battle of attrition so Shane had to change find another way to kill this Lord-Tier Zombie…
'Tsk… This one deserves to be a Lord Tier…' Shane thought as he considered his next move.
After all, even if Shane managed to sever its head, the Zombie would just grow it back! Cutting its limbs, piercing its chest, breaking its knee, and even making a huge hole in its torso was not enough to kill this Zombie… Furthermore, it only took a few seconds for it to regenerate!
"Cloud… Any suggestions?" Shane asked. No matter how many skills and how powerful his weapons were, it was just not enough to win against this unkillable Zombie.
Cloud's suggestion was only to increase the intensity of his attacks! Even the A.I., with its incredible calculation abilities, failed to find another method or weakness to exploit!
This Zombie was just too tough to deal with!
Perhaps, it would've been better to get Nia's help to just bind this Zombie with her vines...
'No... The Toxic Miasma will affect her... Ugh, whatever...' Shane shook his head as he decided to just continue.
"Alright!"
Shane then activated the Warden's Talisman. It was a soulbound item and one of its abilities was to enhance his physical and magical resilience.
Shane then unleashed one of his most powerful skills from the Fairy Realm's Apocalypse: Ethereal Convergence.
It was a skill that he had mastered when he reached Level 60 in that realm.
Soon, a brilliant light filled the chamber as Shane channeled about 8,000 Spirit Points in his spirit reserves!
