Chapter 150 Where Is Vera

Chapter 150 Where Is Vera

Half-elf palace, main hall.

The sounds of fierce fighting and the strong smell of blood kept coming from outside the hall, making people feel uneasy.

The old king sat high on the throne, silent and with a deep look in his eyes.

Prince William walked quickly from outside the palace, his body still covered with traces of blood and fighting.

"Your Majesty, the situation outside has been basically confirmed. The rebels are fighting under the banner of the House of Savoy, and the two squadrons of the Silver Moon Guard are involved, and they are the two squadrons controlled by my uncle... Duke Rutte."

"It's Savoy..." The old king showed a trace of helplessness on his face, "I realized a long time ago that they were still hiding in a corner of Silvermoon City, so I pretended to be dying of old age, just to lure them out.

Haha, I didn't expect that! They actually chose this time to jump out!"

"Your Majesty, what should we do now?"

The old king was silent for a moment, then asked, "Where are those people from Dressrosa now?"

"When the rebels came in, they took the opportunity to rush out of the palace."

"Send someone to find them immediately!"

Prince William was a little confused: "Your Majesty, at this time, why should we care about these northerners? Even if they succeed in breaking out of Silvermoon City, it won't be a big deal, right?"

The old king stared at his son with gloomy eyes and said angrily, "What if they fall into the hands of the rebels, or even Vera's body is desecrated by the rebels... Then even if we succeed in quelling this rebellion, do you think Duke Dressrosa will let our Modiwen family go?"

Prince William immediately broke out in a cold sweat and nodded quickly, "Yes! I'll arrange it right away!"

"Wait!" The old king called his son again. "Do you know which direction they ran?"

Prince William shook his head. "I don't know, but I will send people to search the entire city—"

"What nonsense!" The old king cut him off. "Do you even have enough manpower now? What about the rebels in the palace?"

Prince William opened his mouth but found himself at a loss for words.

"Such a useless son," the old king muttered in deep disappointment.

As he said this, the aging body of old king became full and the wrinkles on his face disappeared. The old body without any vitality was filled with lot of vitality.

Knight Telde carried Vera's body northward, encountering several waves of Silver Moon Guards along the way. Each time, they fought fiercely and managed to repel the attackers.

But after the relentless battles, the Saint Hilde family guards suffered heavy losses. Of the original thousand, only half remained, and nearly everyone was injured.

Even so, their eyes burned with unwavering determination, as though nothing could stop them from moving forward.

"Knight Telde, please halt!" Another group of Silver Moon Guards blocked their path.

The lead half-elf knight lifted his visor and spoke earnestly, "His Majesty the King is concerned for Miss Vera's safety. He doesn't want further harm to come to you or your men. Please, return to the palace with us. I swear, on my honor, that you will not be troubled."

Knight Telde sneered, unmoved. "Your guarantee? What is it worth? Hah! Go back and deal with the rebellion in your palace before spouting empty words to me.

The Dressrosa family guards have only one goal—to escort Miss Vera's body out of Silvermoon City. I'd like to see who dares to stand in our way!"

"Knight Telde, His Majesty truly harbors no ill intentions. Please, believe me—"

"No ill intentions?" Knight Telde interrupted, his voice laced with derision. "Then why were we locked in the palace and cut off from all contact with the outside world?"

"This..." The half-elf knight hesitated, unable to answer.

Telde had no patience for further discussion. Drawing his sword, he roared, "Move aside or fight to the death!

Make your choice!"

The half-elf knight's expression turned grim, but he remained silent.

Knight Telde understood the message clearly and shouted, "Kill!"

Leading the charge, he rushed forward, and the two sides clashed in a chaotic battle.

Despite the intensity of the fight, both sides avoided one critical area—the place where Vera's coffin was placed.

The Silver Moon Guards, too, recognized the coffin's importance and kept their distance, wary of accidentally disturbing it amidst the chaos.

As the fierce battle raged on, a shadowy figure suddenly darted out of the darkness.

With startling speed and unwavering determination, the figure charged straight toward the coffin in the center of the battlefield!

Knight Telde, ever watchful, noticed the movement immediately. Forcing his opponent back with a swing of his sword, he turned and bellowed, "Quick! Stop him! He's after Miss Vera!"

At nearly the same moment, the half-elf knight, realizing the danger, shouted, "Stop him!"

The two knights, once locked in mortal combat, broke off their fight and lunged toward the coffin.

But it was too late.

The mysterious knight plowed through the soldiers like an unstoppable force, sending anyone in his path sprawling. He reached the coffin effortlessly.

Without a moment's hesitation, the man swung his sword in a brilliant golden arc, slamming it into the coffin.

Bang!

A thunderous crash echoed through the battlefield as the coffin shattered into countless pieces, sending fragments of wood flying in all directions.

"No!!!"

Both Knight Telde and the half-elf knight cried out in despair, their voices filled with anguish.

But their expressions quickly froze.

Amid the swirling wood chips, there was no body. No sign of Vera.

The coffin— It was empty.

The half-elf knight's eyes widened in shock as he muttered under his breath, "It was a trap! Bait!"

Knight Telde stood there, dumbfounded, staring at the splintered remains of the coffin. It took him a moment to collect himself.

Could this have been Viscount Angele's plan all along?

If so, then where was Miss Vera?
