Although many people believe luck is innate and can be gained through various deeds, it is controllable by those who have learned Space, Time and Karma Laws. In other words, Mystic Diviners. They can see the unordinary and reshape the trace the flow of fate to the slightest degree, making it possible for them to influence luck.

This was the first principle- to become a Mystic Diviner and gain karmic luck through various deeds.

The second principle was to- balance risk and reward.

Those who do not risk much cannot attain luck. However, risking too much will involve calamity in the fray. It was a double-edged sword.

The third principle was to use catalysts, a very common thing among Mystic Diviners. However, these instruments are not used to hold something but to flip the direction in which luck influences it.

Tools such as dice, coins, and cards are infused with a special intent and used to amplify luck in one direction in order to obtain the favored result.

Myria and Ellia looked at the seemingly ordinary dice in Tia's hands.

It was what Mystic Diviner Oscar used to find this place. It was possible that he wished to find Divergents, so he threw the dice every time and traveled accordingly. After all, focusing on one particular issue would lower the results of the intent, making them fail or even get into a calamity, as the karmic luck might turn bad. That may explain why he wasn't particularly ready for the Divine Emperor of Death to appear in front of him.

Finally, the fourth principle was that- luck favors the bold.

The records repeatedly emphasize that fortune may gravitate to those who act decisively, as hesitation might cloud the threads of fate and the flow of luck.

Myria and Ellia could only frown at this since this appeared more like superstition than a principle. Regardless, they moved on to the next few pages and read about the methods to increase or alter one's luck.

The catalysts are unique directional objects that accept karmic luck, read one's desires, and lead to desired outcomes when used. Apparently, this creates a favorable alignment with the soul, heaven, and earth, as well as the flow of fate, making it possible for one to use luck to one's advantage.

This was called the Karmic Infusion Ritual, which involved rolling a dice, flipping a coin, or shuffling a card out of a deck.

The second method was called Karmic Luck Cleansing.

If one could successfully burn their karmic nature near another person or object by transfusing it into a karmic talisman, they would have attained a blank state where they could steal the karmic luck of that person.

The third method was the Fortune Spirit Formation.

Not much was known about this method as it seemed to be an entirely new blueprint for spirit formation. There were only a few lines stating that it had something to do with astral energy, an energy that is obtained from the alignment of the stars.

The fourth method was known as Risk Mutable Sacrifice.

It was to offer something of great value and increase one's odds. It could involve creating basic blood formation and burning one's own child, parents, master, disciple, or a heavenly resource to appease the flow of fate and call favor upon oneself.

Apparently, it seemed to be the most used out of all the methods because of human nature to gamble and take other lives for granted. It was known to be inefficient, and warnings were given not to rely on it.

After a few pages of inviting the finder of this manual to head to the Heavenly Gambling Sect without even mentioning where it was or its location, the manual finally concluded with a crucial reminder.

[Fortune cannot always be forced. To master luck is impossible, so all you need to do is dance in accordance with its flow. Know when to yield, when to risk, and when to go all out. If you embrace the unpredictable and grasp the unknown, the flow of fate might just favor you.]

"Sounds like a scam…" Myria pursed her lips.

"Sure does…"

Davis nodded lightly.

"Heavenly Gambling Sect? Has anyone heard of it?" Tia asked.

Davis, Myria, and Ellia shook their heads.

Tia went into contemplation. She really couldn't think of anything that might point to the Heavenly Gambling Sect. Even Myria didn't seem to have heard of it.

Davis imagined it was some hidden sect with really low numbers, so wasn't surprised. If it were true, how many could master such an obscure skill? The count would be really low.

"But still, it can't be ignored, considering this Mystic Diviner could've really used it to come here. Maybe we can test it?"

"…" Myria didn't appear to be sure.

She never wanted to dwell in the world of occultic mystical arts. Even mastering reincarnation energy first seemed taboo for her before she eventually accepted it. It was a frightening energy that was the bane of souls, after all. It could also be used as a boon, but that wasn't the point. Other people simply were not capable of mastering it because they would destroy themselves before they could learn it.

It was like poison that decayed and became more poisonous but also got tainted with death energy.

As soon as they produce the first strand of reincarnation energy, it might become a poison that shatters their souls without them knowing how to control it. A soul was already fragile when compared to the body. It was way more difficult than mastering chaos or destructive energies.

Davis saw that Myria was apprehensive when it came to changing luck. It involved the flow of fate so he could understand her worries.

However, he was at a junction where he was less apprehensive of such things.

He suddenly turned to look at Ellia.

"You said something about dealing with those two Heaven's Warriors? What did you want to do?"
